Wow, thanks for the post! I love to see how excited you are about the game.

Please don't get my wrong, Pocket Heroes is being designed as an iPhone application first and foremost. You'll definitely be able to play the game with your friends on the go, that has always been the goal.

When it comes time to CREATE a new quest for someone, things are more difficult. I'm not saying that we would never create that interface for the iPhone, but it definitely makes sense ( at least in our minds ) to make that interface for the Web or iPad first.

We absolutely plan to continue and support Pocket Heroes with additional content, quests, and the DM mode after launch. When we do we'll definitely look at making a DM interface that you can run from your iPhone, and we'll ask all of you for your feedback on the designs we come up with.

I like the sound of Web/iPad first, and DM interface we can run from our phones, even if only eventually ;) This I can get behind!

I also didn't know there is to be a Web interface for the DM engine. While that doesn't alleviate the fact that I want to do EVERYTHING on my iPhone (yes, everything. Get married. Invade small countries. Have critical surgery.), nor change the belief than everything CAN be done on the iPhone (possibly excluding the three previously bracketed exampled), at least there will be a way for those of us who still see the iPad as a bloated iPhone with broken phone unit to still create adventures for our friends.

And believe me, I WILL be using the DM engine. A LOT. Hell, I'd pay a shameless IAP price just to unlock it on my iPhone. I'd fund the porting process, had I the money and lack of good judgement ;) (Not only for my excitement fo this title, but also for the principle of casting off the shackles of iPad requirements.)

My guess is many iPhone users excited about Pocket Heroes feel similarly, and that the DM feature for iPhone is THE absolute best feature you could possibly implement in the long run.

Once the game is stable, out, praised and updated a few times, be a little cutting edge and do what the makers of Defenders of Ardania and Small World will not: throw caution to the wind and go all iPhone, all the way! ;)

This is the game im most excited about on the Iphone at the time moment. It looks really awesome, and with the ability to play with anyone anywhere it's great to play when you have some time over.

Been wanting a D&D styled game in a pocket edition for along time now and this seems to be it.

Keep up the great work guys, looking forward to see what you have up your sleeve for this game.

My one question is since this is a turn based async style game is when will games end?is there a specific quest or do you just keep going till everyone in the party has been defeated by a enemy?

Thanks! We're really excited to get the game out for everyone, mainly so we can play it ourselves!

Great question. We are building a campaign for your party to play through. It's similar to the board game HeroQuest, in that you'll play through a discreet mission with a beginning and an end then have an opportunity to heal, spend your gold, and regroup before starting the next mission.

We have multiple campaigns planned that will be released as updates to the game and then we're also planning to have a DM mode that allows players to create their own levels and run them for a group of players.

The DM mode is also planned as an update because right now we're focused on getting the game finished and the first campaign implemented so everyone can start playing it and giving us feedback.

    Thanks!

Not too familiar with Heroquest,I will look up more on it in preparation for this one.

I assume that you will be able to take experience and money earned with you from game to game correct? If so might I suggest for one of your future updates:

-A second/third game option called survival mode, with a randomly generated game location/dungeon and random enemies/treasure chests, etc in random locations. Then the game sort of runs using async multiplayer until all party members are defeated. This is a good way for more skilled players especially to rack up more rewards from a game.

    Great suggestions!

You will be able to carry your items and gold over between levels but the game is party based, so each character is attached to the party. We have looked at adding in an endless or random dungeon for parties to fight through after they finish the campaign levels as well.

    Hey everyone,

This is slightly un-related to Pocket Heroes but our puzzle game IncrediBlox just got a huge update where we've doubled the number of challenge levels and made it a Universal binary. If you haven't yet, please take a minute and check it out.

There is a paid version that is only $0.99 until the end of the year here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/incrediblox/id432271925?mt=8

We also have a free version with 16 fewer challenge levels and ads available here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/incrediblox-free/id445253403?mt=8

This is the last big update for IncrediBlox so that we can focus all our energy on finishing Pocket Heroes. We would really appreciate it if you could help us spread the word about IncrediBlox.

    Thanks!

    Brandon

I suppose it has been a while since I posted a screenshot ;)

This is a shot that I've obviously staged but it's from the level we're currently working on and shows off our new character sprites.

Let me know what you think.

Also, I'd like to thank all of you that downloaded IncrediBlox. We hope you like it!

Not right now, and probably not in the first version. We are contracting out all the art and at this point it's not feasible to have different art for each weapon.

I'd love to have different sprites so hopefully we'll be able to add it in an update.

With regards to your character being locked into being associated with one party. I think this is a bad idea, especially if you are playing with friends, and you want to involve a different friend on your next quest/ mission,or if you want to,in games like words with friends and such,be able to make new friends by playing your next quest with random fellow party mates.

I understand what you're saying, this is one issue that took us a long time to decide on. Originally the game was going to allow you to take your character with you into whatever game you wished, but there are so many ways that causes problems both in development and in making the game work for players that we shelved it for later.

Right now the focus is on re-creating that party gameplay feeling. So the idea is that you are going to form a party and play though the campaign, you can also start another party with other friends, but the party you create is what moves through the missions of the campaign.

Right now we're talking about allowing you to change your character or perhaps join with another party in-between each campaign but we haven't finalized that yet.

My hope is that this game becomes a financial success quickly so that all the potential can be realized. Simply put; this is going to be the first of its kind. An async cooperative adventure! If my friends don't buy this app, I will buy it for them.

Well at least you can create another party to get more friends playing. Considering having each quest being tackled by a different party may be ultimately a good idea though, especially if you start talking about different races and roles in your party and which ones would be best to tackle the next quest with. If you keep it a strict party lock,or don't allow people to change up their characters you take away that strategic element.
