The only thing I hope you guys do is make this game 2nd gen device compatible since this is a "words with friends" type of game you should open it up to a wide range of devices which would maximize your player base, which is very important early on when you are just starting out cause the more players there are the more others will want to play because there will be a solid base of players online and available for them to play with.
We are looking into Dungeon creation but it will be an update to the main game. Our goal right now is to get out the base game with 1 or 2 campaigns for players to play through together.
Nothing that we're ready to share just yet. We're building toward another demo video that will probably be out in October and should give everyone a much better feel for what the final game will be like. We've been changing things all over the place and it's taking longer than we'd like but we're making progress. Since you asked I will post a piece of concept art that one of our artists made last week. I really enjoy this picture as it seems to capture some of the nostalgia that I have for old-school RPGs. Thanks for staying interested! We decided to start talking about Pocket Heroes really early in the process and I know that can make it tough when you have to wait 'forever' for new updates. We really appreciate all the feedback and ideas we've received though, and think that the wait will definitely be worth it. Thanks, Brandon
I love this idea. DnD has been my favorite rpg for a long time and to see it moved to a "words with friends" style of play. Subscribed, looking forward to more info.
Hey everyone! Since we've been pretty silent lately I wanted to share a few things with you. First, I have a new piece of concept art to show you. It's a continuation from the previous piece I posted a couple weeks ago and shows our heroes descending into the cave. I've blocked out the whole day to add new features on the game and I'm going to try something new. All day today I'll be posting about my progress on twitter! So follow me @Readmore to get the latest updates. Hopefully there will be a lot there for you to read.
Just re-found this game again after remembering the demo video I had seen for it previously. I'll be following this thread now that I've found it and can't wait to see what you guys have in store! Looking forward to what looks to be an awesome game.
Is there an ETA on this game yet? Sorry if you said on your twitter already; I don't have twitter so I'm not really following yours.
We haven't said anything yet. I'm really hoping that we can launch before Christmas but we can't commit to that yet. We'll definitely let you know as soon as we make a decision though.
Looks sweet! Couple ideas... Guys, this looks great! Demos are fun, hope the final is great. I'll buy it! Any idea how will we find 'party mates' & so on? Ideas -- how cool would it be if you made the game system 'open' & let players create their heroes, races, etc. -- Similar would be to have a GM option. This game looks like a lot of fun. Sort of a 'rogue-like' except looks like scenarios are 'pregen-d' and AI might have some ideas in mind. I speak for many rogue-like lovers that we are ready for you (or anyone) to make rogue-likes that combine 'multi-user' and 'play by post' and 'countdown timer' and 'strategic combat' and etc etc. Keep it up!
Pocket Heroes Quick Update Hey everyone! It's been awhile since I posted here but I wanted to let you know that we're still moving forward with Pocket Heroes! We're still adding in gameplay features but we've also started building out some of the planned levels for the game and they are really looking great. I've posted a screenshot below from a cave level in the game where you can see a new environment as well as a whole new set of enemies. We're still hard at work on the game and the plan for this month is to overhaul the User Interface to make it more intuitive as well as to add additional item and armor types to the game. I'm also starting to implement ways to make the levels more interactive for the players so that they can have more of the pen and paper elements in them and not be just a multi-player dungeon crawl. I'll try to post some more screen shots from our other levels as they come together. Let me know if you have any questions or ideas. - Brandon
