I've had a few "Jenny moments" but no "Jenny days" yet - times when I just didn't feel like playing, as if my passion had cooled & other things which fill my free time seemed more alluring. I assume that there will come a time for everyone when moments turn to days & days to forever-months. As you have seen, there are new avid members here so virtual life goes on with or without us. Dom, thank you for the Stellata frogs. I am still waiting for this week's set to mature. Does anyone race their frogs? I find it useful to race good speed /stamina frogs to obtain frogs that I may be missing from the dex or if I have them to collect the coin prize (especially on the Veru!). True, breeding is the faster way to get different combos, so I only race them from time to time. None of the special breeds show up as prizes for the race, so that is a definite downside. Any thoughts?
Lisianne and Nirtew, thank you very much for the Aqua Chroma Bulbus and the Black Floris Signum respectively! Does anyone change habs using the horizontal swipe gesture? I still find myself using the Habitat select menu out of habit. The swipe is faster for adjacent habitats, but if the are further apart, it is slower. Happy frogging.
I noticed in your signature, what's BHQ? After finding out about this feature not 2 days ago, I find myself using it every so often. Kinda convenient. Thanks Dom, you are the man.
If you swipe across the hab number you get the same thing. Left to right is next hab and R to L is previous.
I'm back... Fine print to follow. I still have to replace iPod in a week or so. Status may change given my luck with game center. For now, I'm back and working on nothing really I will post set help If needed but I got all the new froglets before d day prior. To think I have about 300 froglets to for 5000. That is a lot better than the prior week when I was at ground zero and seriously debating a hunt and kill expo on gamecenterians. Happy frogging and let the random gigging begin again though I'm likely to be more sedate as my obsession has faded some for good or bad is hard to say at this point. Oh my horrible to consider losing everything. The mountain is so steep (and long) that to have it roll you all the way back to the base seems a bit much. Best of luck to you - and I hope you can keep it at the fun level for awhile. Hopefully the game center backup (I still don't even know what that is) can do more to keep things from going sideways.
Is there a level limit on frog habitats? I notice my daughter isn't being given any more habitats to buy at level 4. I think I managed to buy all of mine (my last one is numbered 15).
It was a close call. Still not wholly back as it were. GC did manage to save me though some losses but they are negligible in the bigger context. @swiping -- umm wow, it's like wow! I can't believe we never figured it before given how many times I've accidentally moved a deco swiping to get it moved to a more desired place. Yeah, it's good to be back though as I mentioned I still have a known hurdle of the replacement in a week and due to all the machinations to get back I'm at a loss as to what the pw is still. Oh I'm logged in and all now but it was random luck I think. Apple tech never did reply nor any email from their auto send email. Ugh. Oh well I'll worry in a week if it's an issue again. So missed those comics! They always made me laugh, lifted my spirits & this one was no exception. Not to worry about replacing your iPod. Don't know about GC but Plus+ backs up all your stuff. Due to problems at one point I logged on to Plus+, then out, then closed PF & deleted it. Did not restore from syncing just by logging on with same Plus+ name. Had forgotten my pw & which of my email addresses I used to register but figured that out eventually & was able to begin PF again. Only lost my Request Frog. Don't know what that would do to a non-current Set you were working on, though. As for the "swiping thing," I'm loath to update programs I use a lot until I read what's in the update plus user reviews. Have been burned way too many times with apps which has serious bugs. It wasn't in the last update of PF (with the 10 new frogs, more habs, etc.) but one or two updates before that this new "swiping" feature was listed. It could be done anywhere on the screen to go from hab to hab, backwards or forwards. Nonetheless, the strength of this forum is about sharing not just frogs but tricks & tips. Thanks, Hook, for mentioning this tip for all to see. p.s.: Thanks for froggies to you, Shashta, oger, & Dom (for two of the Set frogs).
Wishing you the best of luck with your replacement iPod and restore. I purchased my refurb from Apple and the first one had the white screen hardware defect. They asked me take the broken unit to the UPS Store and sent me a replacement one with no hassles. That was before Pocket Frogs. Now I am considering upgrading to iTouch v4 when the new ones come out soon and am curious if my data will be restored properly. I can't remember my pw to Plus+ either, it just auto-logins. I wouldn't suggest an the 4th gen. it's what i have. the idiot designers made it too thin, to curved and screwed with things that didn't need screwing because lighter thinner is better? umm NOT! besides the fact the camera res. is crap and i say that with full vingear spittle...the inset for the charger is too shallow and gets too hot and the exposed metal is a shocking and i do mean in the electrical sense insult to ipod users. wait for ipod 5 and hope for better oh and props to you.. i have a 1g too... and omg it's slow as molasses playing pf. you must have the patience of job or live in a world of no gravity. hold out for 5g if you can and as i said the design of 4 is weak and i hear 5 is going back to 1gish shape likely to add better camera or at least that's the hope.. one of them. pf does save info but i'm not sure it's plus or gc. when i reformatted and logged back in it said wrong version.. didn't realize when it uploaded pf it was not the current revision so i think itunes screwed it up... then gc stuffed it with crap when i couldn't put in password. i did know the plus+ pw which did nothing to save my game data as far as i could tell but it could have been the version issue which was resoved when i DNR'd. not to mention, finally inspiration or sheer dumb luck i found the right combo and gc pw was synced and all gaming data but for a day i think was lost maybe a little more but since i when from umm well lets just say due to my somewhat obsessed habit prior a whole lot of stamps and potions to none getting them all back was happy hopping news. the gc password should be simple to reset if you have it hooked to your normal itunes account. i set up an account with umm generic info for gaming purposes only with no billing etc so that no purchases were made and i could limit what children's access to content. heh. some kids don't realize how smart grown-ups can be. of course to not have written down the pw somewhere wasn't too smart since it's numbers, letters and special characters. call me over protective and paranoid but i refuse to be suckered into something i don't intend for myself or have kids getting things they may or may not realize is acceptable. anyhow, even plus+ has a reset option and as long as you gave an email address that you have access then it can be reset. if you download dizzypad which is free currently it has the option to log out of plus+ which pf does not (stupid if you has me) so you can get the password worked out before you have to change out it also allows others to play same game under different users. well that's a more than a mouthful. so i'm off to hop i think the sagitta are done and ready to go visiting. happy hopping, shasta
