Here is something helpful my 8yo figured out. If you can afford the breeding charge the exact second that you breed even if the eggs are 1 second old they will be registered in the froggydex. Try it and see. You dont need to go to the pond and train for them to be registered. Now that I have some coinage if I am interested in dexing some lower level frogs I can just breed them then sell them as fast as I can.
    Still lots of tapping. :)

FYI last night I bred 2 60 frog batches w my super speedy dexing technique which resulted in 18-23 frogs being added to my Dex. Remember I said in theory this would yield 36 new frogs.

Not as good of numbers as my original idea because you would have to be pretty lucky to get a 8 unique frog breeding every time and as you mentioned the probability decreases the higher % you get for any given breed.

Can anyone spare a signum? I haven't done any in-depth analysis on my combination method but if you go high and low and sell off the low ones instantly then that should keep things moving and the dex advancing nicely. I will see about trying to do a bit of tracking - keep in mind your best results will be with 2 different breed frogs that don't already have any of their combinations used up which for those like Q will be a rarity. That gives you a 3/4s chance on the first combination of getting a new frog.

Yes the math of it all is something that appeals to me. Seeing shortbus's stats and level cough makes me nervous to be in the same conversation hehe. I am but the padawan but I find the math tantalizing me and I want to figure out ways to go forward. Short has a much different equation since with that many frogs it may make sense to "block off" certain routes and for instance never do any combinations involving orange as they are either complete or mostly complete. My vistas are much more wide open so any given set of two fully different frogs is likely to offer me the chance at 5 or 6 new dex items. I will of course be "littering" my sets which may make being methodical a bit harder later on but I figure at least through 2-3k frogs it shouldn't bother me too much.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I just didn't thing all the stats were of general interest. When I get a chance - I'm all tied up with finishing Ocularis - I'm going to PM you my Further thoughts on flies per pond presents.
I'm not on Game Center. What am I missing?

Maybe we need a math thread :) I agree with the earlier observation that flies per present is highly dependent on whether you are speed hopping (which I do up as well) or fly hopping which is usually much more circular and effective which means way less presents.

Totally mathematically insignificant but doing 8 combinations among fully different frogs I got 5 new dex items (which seems decent luck) of course given I was doing magus + neru that still leaves me with some very slow to mature babies and trying to get 40 new dex items will take me a ton of time even if I could keep up that rate. I am a ways from having the cash to simply blow through lvl 16 frogs :).

Is it just me, or does it seem that when breeding low and high to dex I am much more likely to get the low level combinations? There have been times when I've breed some 20 frogs without a single high level one. :( Maybe I just have bad luck.

Much thanks to Q and Hook for the money frogs! Just bought the 15th hab and am now back to being dirt poor :p

I am starting to work on the Signum while waiting for Q to finish with his batch of Bulbus. Do you want the colors as I finish with them? My first color is Aqua.

Yes, thank you. Are there any colors that you won't be getting to immediately that I can send you?

That's right. I have a very low flies per present average because I'm very often just hopping north to troll for presents and not catching many flies. I once did a test of 20,000 hops to see what my hops per pond present was. That's the true measure of present getting "efficiency". I *think* I was averaging about 30 hops per present, but I'll have to rummage through and find those results to be sure.

As usual, I go alphabetically through the colors. So if you want to start with yellow, and work your way back, that would be helpful. I have already finished aqua and almost finished azure. The Aqua colors are on the way.

After looking at some of the senior members in this thread and their stats I have to ask - is there a specific advantage (beyond organization) for the 1 color at a time methodology and should I adopt it? (I already used the one color at a time for anuras and it did work fine but I remember the huge number of attempts it took sometimes to get a particular frog).

    Good evening everyone,

In the next couple of days I will have 14 habitats of BULLA to gift out. 3 habitats are the breeding pool and then I have glass, white, black, lime, green, emerald, olive, marine, aqua, azure and blue.
If you would like the breeding pool or one of the color habitats please let me know in the next 12 hours. The breeding pool is 23 frogs and all the others are 8 frogs except white which has 7 frogs. First come first serve.

    Belated thanks...

... for the recent frogs from Q, sab, Nirtew, sab, Snappy, & Andi.

May be less of a presence in this forum, for the moment, but still trading, in moderation. Can't go cold frog.
