I was a level 10 at one point but i was playing offline so nothing was saved. I am starting with almost nothing at level 4 now. Thank you so much for the help! I am psyched to get started.

Thank you Q! I really appreciate it. I will get to work on my anuras right now. What happens if you send me more than my mailbox can hold? Does it just send it later or is it lost forever?

    Thank you both :D

I'll send the set sometime in the morning. As for your mailbox, it just goes into queque until you have space. I would suggest getting the express mailbox if you haven't already.

Thanks for the advice, I will get it now. Always happy to support the devs... especially since they made two of my favorite games ever.

    Hello again :)

I have not hit 100% in the dex yet but I am trying.

Yes Dean hit 100% and is now a fairy frog mother to everyone here.

    Hoppy frogging to you too!

Hello sanitymops I sent you some welcome froggies to kick start your dex quest.

I agree with Q, having 100% anuras is a great start. They are cheap to clone easy to breed with. I keep one frog from each breed in my catalogue as it is cheaper that cloning if you want a breed you don't have in your habitats.
Every body does the dex a bit differently and you will find what works best for you through trying different things out. What I am doing at the moment is I have all primary and secondary colours and a variety of breeds spread across four habitats. That is my breeding pool. I am working on corona just now so I take one of those and breed it with the frogs in the pool to get the primary and secondary colours I want. The reason I don't use a corona pool is that I like to think that by using a pool of breeds that I don't have at 100% that I will fill up on them too without trying, so that hopefully when I come to breed them I will have more than I thought. :)
Hope this is helpful and not too confusing. Welcome to the thread.

Their new one, Tiny Tower, is super addictive. They have figured out the Midas Touch to "free to play" gaming imo.

Thank you so much! I added you to my friends list :) I hope I can get to the point soon where I can reciprocate for all the wonderful gifts and warm welcomes.

Added you to my list to send you a welcoming gift but you don't show up. That's never happened before. Will try again later, but welcome, Sanity, to this forum of dubious "sanity." ;)

p.s.: Belated thanks, still again, from yesterday for the super froggies - you guys really know how to spoil your members! Thanks to Dom & Q for a continuous flood (& they think flooding is in limited areas of the US!), Nirtew for some great frogs I didn't have, & shortbus for my Request Frog! (Odd it was an Arbor & I had none. See, that's why I keep at least one high value frog I can breed myself [except this time, I forgot...])

p.p.s.: If Tiny Tower is addictive, I'm not checkin' in. Have all the addiction I can handle with PF.

@Lisianne: You may have run into the glitch that I had a few days ago. I was able to add him without any problems.

I may or may not do a Puncti exodus (maybe diaspora would fit better) once I finish up that species.

Glitch persisted this afternoon but just noticed Sanity showed up. Gifted him some high value frogs to sell so s/he can get going buying habs & leveling up.

Pond does give out 12 stamps at a time at Level 23 for I hit the jackpot once today - yay!

p.s.: Additional thanks since this morning to andi, sab, & Q for some great froggies. Everyone's generosity has bumped my 'dex up to, OK, hold your collective breaths, yes, 16%! Am beyond delighted.

p.p.s.: "Project Dextera" continues, Dom, whether you like it or not!

smjjames - Thank you so much for the weekly frog set :) It is going to help me a ton.

Also, none of my mail is going into a queue. If i don't have enough room in the mail box in the morning I lose anything after 8 slots have been filled. Is this a known glitch or is this normal?

Thanks again for the help everyone :)

That is not normal. Are you sure you are losing your queue? Have you tried emptying your mailbox to 7 filled slots and waited? One of the frogs in your queue should pop up and you can accept it. Do you remain online throughout? If you're offline many, if not all of your queue frogs will not popup - I'm not sure of the mechanism, but that's what happens to me when I'm offline.

You were right. It was an offline issue. It just took a really long time to send it back to me after my mailbox was empty. I am not constantly connected so I must have kept interrupting it.

All is good now :) I got all sorts of goodies from you all!

I think we are using the same method to fill the dex. That is good to know, as I was curious to see if others were using this method (as opposed to a color wheel).

Catalogueing the higher level frogs would definetly be useful as you would have to pay up to 100,000 for the highest level frogs.

I am using an Anura color wheel as a breeding pool. Works okay for the lower levels where cost isn't a problem, but not so sure about price wise when I get to the point that it really gets expensive.

ok, so let me make sure I understand. I should just let the dex take care of the anura colors and clone them as needed (because they are relatively cheap to clone). Then I should keep the patterns (at least the expensive ones) in the catalog?

I was trying to keep colors or patterns in my habitats but was rapidly running out of room, and i am too low of a level to have the money i need to get 5+ habitats so fast. This dex/catalog way seems easier for me.

    What do you all think?

Lisianne, do you still need an Azure Picea Calvaria? I can give you a White Picea right now and an Azure Picea in a day.

Here's the thing, once you have the Anura at 100%, you have a very cheap way of obtaining two of the three traits for any frog you might need. After you get the Anura filled out, what you'll want to do next is use whatever hab space you have as well as the catalog to save one of each kind of breed.

For example, say you have a request for a Tangelo Caelus Sol (this has actually come up for me). What you can do is pull the Sol out of your catalog and then clone a Tangelo Caelus Anura from your dex. This way you can breed them together until you have the correct frog.

This is assuming of course that you have reached the required level to actually catalog the Sol (or any other high level frogs for that matter).

I hope I explained this well enough. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

That's funny that we use the same method :) I always use the same primary and secondary colours together too no matter what breeds are in the breeding pool.
