Sad to see you go, sneeb. Are you sure you don't want to have another go? You're so close to finishing.

Sneeb, sad to see you go. Feels like the end of an era.

RQuilt, thanks for so many Palmas and now Coclearis. Congrats on the milestone, too! I've been studying your habs and switched up my breeding style to see if I can progress a little faster. Your speed amazes me.

Thanks to Snappy for recent frogs, too!

Just hit level 40, still breeding away.

    Two factors into my "speed":
1.) I actually employ a pretty aggressive breeding style. I watch the numbers after every frog I breed, and have sold off many eggs before they "hatch". If I didn't do this I wouldn't be anywhere near the 30,000 frog mark, and at the same time would probably have double the coins I have (at least). When I am finally happy with my nursery, I give all 8 one potion to shorten the time. With using one potion on each, and if I can time it right, I try to get at least 4 complete breeds in in a day (if I am not too busy)..... hopefully that makes sense
2.) As you will notice in my ponds, I have at least one of every frog breed I still need to complete and one Anura of every color, randomly. I will use the Anuras to get a "base" of the frog I am currently breeding and then interbreed them to cut down on the percentages (although way more expensive). If I come across, or get gifted, any frog of a breed that is up "next" I save as to cut down on the need for base frogs. I only save frogs that are up next because I don't have much room to save anything else (since the Anuras and future frogs have basically taken away around 5-6 of my ponds).
3.) Maybe a small detail, but when it comes to the requests, I only accept/breed requests of frogs I need. I decline all others. I do also accept the requests if its of the first few breeds and the prize is a few stamps or potions.
4.) Saving the best for last, I have had MANY MANY MANY wonderful friends gifting me frogs over my time in this forum....they know who they are. I make sure to gift back so the gifts hopefully keep coming my way:D Sneeb was one of my most frequent "gifters", so him leaving will hurt as he gifted so many frogs my way. Also, at one point meplie and I bred a different breed and gifted the breed we weren't breeding to eachother....ultimately killing two birds with one stone (hopefully that's no confusing). I have also had huge help from vivilion and froeschi who have at times gifted all 16 frogs of the same color/breed. The "newer" comer Elvis also posts a list of available frogs he has to offer, so I suggest replying to his replies of what you need....just make sure to gift back :)

I hope this all makes sense. Don't hesitate to ask any questions.

So Jack....if you have time give me an idea of what you need from Coclearis - Fortuno so I can gift you frogs you actually need. Especially, give me your entire list of needed Coclearis, for the time being, since I am currently working on them......if not too much to ask.

I hope your future is filled with bright opportunies, Sneeb. We will miss you here at the trading thread. So long, and thanks for all the frogs!

On another topic, does anyone else also know what the progeny are of a Tangelo Muscus Foramen and Tangelo Muscus Nodare? The answer is not as obvious as you might think!

RQuilt, thanks for taking time to write such a detailed post. This gives me a lot to think about. My biggest failing as a breeder has been hanging on to too many frogs. I've peeked into your habs and gotten inspiration to sell off more of my frogs, but I just can't seem to let go of some of them, particularly the fast racers - when my mailbox is low, I race them for new frogs. But I really need that space for breeding...that's my eternal struggle.

I did have a wheel of Foramen but I sold 'em off in favor of breeding high with low-level frogs as I saw you were doing. I do seem to be going a bit faster this way, even though it's more expensive. But now that I'm up to 50 million coins, I don't care as much about that. Yet I almost never sell off my high level frogs before they've matured. Guess I'm still too much of a miser for that!

As for the Coclearis, I'm only at 22% on them, so almost anything you send will help. I'm 100% on Glass and Violet, 0% on Tangelo & Aqua.

It's probably more useful to tell you what I HAVE because there's fewer of those. So of Coclearis I already have:
    Maroon - Bruna & Cafea
Red - Muscus, Callaina, Ceres, Bruna, Chroma
    Tangelo - 0%
    Orange - Tingo & Picea
    Golden - Carota & Ceres
    Yellow - Folium, Callaina, Floris
    Lime - Bruna, Picea
    Green - Bruna, Picea
    Emerald - Tingo, Pruni
    Olive - Cafea
    Marine - Carota
    Aqua - 0%
Azure - Pruni, Bruna, Cafea, Picea
    Blue - Caelus, Bruna
    Purple - Caelus, Ceres, Albeo
    Royal - Muscus, Ceres, Caelus
    Pink - Pruni, Cafea, Picea
    Violet - 100%
White - Tingo, Muscus, Ceres, Albeo
    Beige - Folium, Floris
Cocos - Folium, Muscus, Albeo, Cafea, Picea
    Black - Floris, Albeo, Picea

Whew! Also I was going to breed that Golden Carota with my Golden Picea Foramen so if you don't have Golden Picea Coclearis (or Foramen!) let me know.

Speaking of Foramen, I saw previously that you're at almost 70% Foramen, which is the breed I'm slowly working through lately. Is there anything in Foramen that you don't have yet? I'd rather give you frogs that add to your dex if possible. I know every frog is precious and of course can always be sold for coin, but it'd be nice to get you some that help your numbers. I'm at 72% in Foramen at the moment, myself. :)

I actually don't race at all. Since I have been playing, I have probably raced 10 times max....and that even seems high.

At first, I too struggled to let go of frogs. I came to the realization that the goal of the game is to breed every frog, so I sold off the frogs I didn't need in favor of frogs I will need in the future. When you get closer to the end and have built up more coins and have more room, you could always buy the ones you liked.

Breeding with the Anuras is not as expensive as interbreeding, but interbreeding cuts down on the percentages. I guess that decision is up to you.

Thank you for the list of Coclearis...like you I would like to send you frogs that you actually need.

Here is my list of needed Foramen (103):
Lime: Aurum, Folium, Muscus, Caelus, Pruni, Ceres, Floris, Bruna, Picea
Green: Carota, Folium, Caelus, Pruni, Viola, Floris, Albeo, Bruan, Picea
Marine: Carota, Folium, Pruni, Ceres, Albeo, Bruna, Picea, Chroma
Azure: Tingo, Carota, Aurum, Folium, Muscus, Callaina, Caelus, Pruni, Viola, Albeo, Bruna, Cafea, Picea, Chroma
Blue: Tingo, Carota, Muscus, Pruni, Ceres, Floris, Bruna, Cafea, Chroma
Purple: Carota, Folium, Callaina, Pruni, Chroma
Royal: Tingo, Carota, Aurum, Folium, Muscus, Callaina, Caelus, Viola, Ceres, Floris, Albeo
Pink: Tingo, Aurum, Folium, Caelus, Pruni, Viola, Floris, Cafea, Picea
    Violet: Albeo
White: Tingo, Carota, Folium, Muscus, Callaina, Caelus, Pruni, Floris, Albeo, Bruna, Cafea, Chroma
Beige: Carota, Callaina, Caelus, Pruni, Viola, Floris, Bruna, Chroma

14 days feel like an eternity

    Hi guys, I'm back!

Urgent real life problems distracted me for two weeks, and I can't believe what happened here meanwhile...

Sneeb?! Please come back!!! Did you try to contact Nimblebit to restore your game?!

And I found a note yesterday from myself from December 2013:

    Tangelo Carota x Cocos Cafea

= tangelo carota + cocos cafea
    And tangelo CHROMA
    And GLASS carota

But I didn't note which breed?!

If anyone can tell me, I'll be glad to gift 10 frogs of choice lol!!!

Thanks for all your gifts!!! :)

Welcome back, Froeschi! Hope real life is all sorted out & you can get back to the fun stuff - frogging! I have no idea what that note could have been. When I look in your habs I see they're full of Janus - so could it be Janus?

RQuilt, I've got 2 Coclearis matured, a red Ceres & red Chroma. Do you need either of those?

If you see Janus in my habs, that is the state of october 2013 when I updated to iOS 7. since then I can't visit any neighbors and you will never see any change in my habs again. :(
I wrote several times to Nimblebit, but it seems they don't care.
In fact I am at level 70 now and have reached 98% froggydex.

Concerning my note - interesting suggestion! It won't be Janus because my note could be from december 2013, I had already finished Janus then. It must have been one of the next breeds I did. That cuts the list down to four or maybe six possibilities! :D

    Thanks Jackaboom! :)
