They give us a twofer to prepare for the last one. Of course! It's genius, and heart breaking.

"On Jan 8, 2014 the final Pocket Frogs weekly set was released. After completion, older sets will still be offered in reverse chronological order but no new sets are planned."

This is straight from nimble bit's website. So Sad no more sets to keep me focused. I guess that might mean no more pf updates

    The Final Set

Well, I don't know why NimbleBit decided to discontinue one of the most interesting parts of PocketFrogs, but I have one set to share.

    Who want's?

Do not despair froggers! Vivilion and Froeschi will make up our own weekly sets and offer frog prizes for the first to complete them!

Mmmh, you guys are a little late... The one set went out to RQuilt who wanted it first.

I could make you both a set, but it will take a day or two.

Do you want to wait for it? Please let me know, otherwise I won't breed them again. ;)

    Somewhere else

Sad but predictable. At least with PF there was this "warning" whereas with TT they stopped "Missions" with no warning.

OTOH, given that sets can only be completed in "reverse chronological order," it seems thoughtless (<--huge euphemism) to have "The Final Set" have two of the highest level frogs in it! That means that doing past sets, for those just beginning the game, will be pretty much a no-go.

    But I digress.

Never a 'dexer, my goal was eventually reduced to doing Weekly Sets months ago. With that gone, well, I'm adrift. But it wasn't NB's fault, in my case, it was simply that I was losing interest, kind of like they did. PF had a long & enjoyable run for me & many others. It still is an beautifully crafted, excellent game & I got way more than my money's worth ($10 investment).

Although I will be playing from time to time to relax (the way I began before I discovered this forum & got hooked on Sets), I WON'T BE TRADING ANY MORE. I may send a gift from time to time but it'll be very RARE so no one should count on it. I will delete no one so just delete or ignore me.

I've had a super time here in this forum; thanks for hosting it, TouchArcade. I hope that, in spite of no new Weekly Sets, it will continue as a place for people to get to their 100% 'dex goals. Unlike the TT forum which withered away with the lack of floors & missions, this forum STILL has a purpose for you persistent 'dexers.

Au revoir et bon courage, mes amis!

I'm sorry to say that I agree with lisianne.
I might go in for a while, but righr now I find no interest in trying to complete the Froggydex. Especially when developers loose interest in the game.
We'll see... I will finish the final set first... :(

We will keep things fun! I already have a bunch of ideas for sets. I sent Nimblebit my ideas a while ago, and they used some of my ideas, although it could be coincidence. They did thank me, though. "Frog Rock" was one of them. When I saw that weekly set, my eyes almost popped out of my head! I was sooooo thrilled!

So, I sent full set since I don't have the right amount of patience to wait. ;) I apologize for MB clogging! :D
