NB have responded saying they have had a few reports of iOS 7 GC not restoring properly, and they are trying to fix it asap :).

Hmm have been thinking lately about the next pf version and was thinking it would be kind of cool if they introduced some new primary and secondary colour I'm thinking matallic primary (base) colour and silver as a secondary (pattern) colour and I mean matallic as in a varying shades (not changing colour like chroma varying shades at once) sort of mattalic that you see on cars i think that would be a really nice combo.

Terra will send you a quilta ASAP just give me about 2 mins to breed him and I'll send him on his way

Just out of curiosity, have any of you ever come across a Glass or Chroma frog in the pond? I have never seen one, even before V2, I'm just wondering if this is how it is or not. I have also noticed this in the shop as well, I find it intriguing yet odd at the same time.

I believe the only way to get glass and chroma is by breeding, racing, and gifts from friends. they're the rare colors in pocket frogs ^.^ android makes it easier to get them. to me it seems like nimblebit was lazier with the android version. it's all glitchy and the graphics are weird (although that may be because I'm used to the iOS version)

thanks to Ella and maholah go the frogs :)

Oh, c'mon, Lisi, stop kwevtching, already! You're a total wimp! If you have boiling water, brew some tea, sit down for a spell, & cool off. PF in a stressful situation is what separates the men from the uh, well, the...other people.

Be careful what you wish for! Some of us may feel that adding another x thousand frogs is x-1 too many & just drop out. It has happened before.

For everyone generously trading Set frogs with one another, there are others, not part of this forum, who are frustrated that, after finishing all the Awards, they can't begin to do Sets because they contain frogs they can't breed or buy. Or, if they are not currently, they might be in the very next Set.

Why oh why didn't NB just call this PF2, separate & distinct from PF1? As it is, they use precious few v. 1 frogs in Weekly Sets & most of them are "potion only" frogs. (Note to self--> time for that cup of tea, no?)

Your generosity is laudable. You've become a dyed in the wool member of the PF Forum.

p.s.: Thanks to Mal for the Fortuno (what about the books?!!), Maholah for the 2 Fortuna, Shelbus, 2 Igneous, & Axis, Ella for the Favus, Snappy for the Foramen & Shelbus, XXX for the 2 Papilio, Quo for the Tabula, green for the Vicio, & madmaze for the Pistrix & Hennae.

Well... That makes me a tad bitter. >\ Ah well, I have my own ways of getting the Chroma. Although, I can't say I've ever bred one using two non-chromas. I hope to achieve this one day.

There is a list on the Internet somewhere that tells you what combos of non-chroma pairs will result in a chroma frog. You will stumble across them on your own eventually though, you just have to be patient. The same applies for glass frogs, and like every other frog, once you've got that first one you're home free! :)

I miss my Galaxy. :( my only issues with PF on android are that the screen doesn't seem as responsive for games that have been ported from iOS. Its been 2 weeks now, since I sent it off for repairs. :'(

No I wouldn't want that I guess I'm becoming less focused on the completion of the dex and am enjoying the frogs just for frogs.... Maybe it's all the maroon Chromas doing my head in but I just think of how wonderful they would all look in shiny matallic, but yes I agree possibly too much for some frog lovers

Can I send you a frog on your iPhone to cheer you up.

I think you are spot on with this. I was very close to quitting after the last update, but decided to keep going. It was like a sense of defeat to see your dex perecentage go from approximately 80 to 40. I don't think I can stomach another addition of xthousand frogs. Maybe in another year or so, but not in the near future. I know I am only one player (and everyone is thinking who cares), but I imagine that I am not the only one who would share in this sentiment. However, I am sure there are many players out there that don't care about the dex percentage and would happily welcome the update.

For now, thank you to AndiNZ for the Nebula, Jackaboom for the Flecto and iluvjae for a pair of Pluma

Hope you get your beloved Galaxy back soon & that it works as advertised. Since you said in your last post NOT to send gifts, I stopped sending. Do you want to resume gifting in the interim?

I can't argue that metallic wouldn't be a lovely shade (if it could be done). Further, I'm definitely not focused on completion of the 'dex which I consider an impossibility given the way I play. Still what I mean is that people who were 'dexing would throw up their hands in resignation & dismay. We lost too many of the regular participants here after the last update. That was just plain sad.

IMO, as I've said more than once before, NB handled the update in the WORST possible way: releasing 47 new breeds at once. They didn't just move the goal posts a few yards, they moved it the equivalent of almost a whole other stadium! Had they held off & done as they had previously done & released but 10, they would have been able to release other frogs in the future as they were working on/promoting their newest game(s).

If I already hadn't decided 'dexing simply wasn't my cup of tea & more importantly would chew up too much of my valuable free time, that move by NB to virtually double the size of the 'dex would have absolutely convinced me. You are to be commended, rquilt, for sticking with it. Too many others fell by the wayside.

Sure, the forum members & posts grew by leaps & bounds with the release of the gazillion new frogs but the growth was predictably short-lived. Most came, collected their missing frogs, & promptly left. But a handful stayed to become part of this generous, sharing community.

To those who stayed & contributed, bravo!

p.s.: Thanks to green for the Vicis, & Madmaze for the Pistrix & Hennae.

I see your point. However I do wonder how long a dexer will stay after they have completed the dex. They have achieved their goal will they stay and contribute or like Dean slowly leave. I look at people like Marti (if he gets his frogs back) Dom and others that are getting really close to their goal. Dom I could see staying to help with weekly sets but the others not so much either way they leave out of frustration from having the goal posts moved or because they have reached their goal. Besides I doubt nimble bit would have it in them to do a version 3 unless they are making money off it and feel that an injection of frogs or other features will make them money.

Tis a sad reality with a game like Pf where one can have a goals is completing the game. Due to the length of time it takes to complete a person is highly unlikely to begin it again.

Ah, therein lies the rub! I, too, wonder about this. Will the people who are furiously 'dexing to finish all the while collecting Weekly Sets from others so they don't have to take away 'dexing, will THEY stick around to help others?

First, Dean stayed a loooong time after finishing; she set up contests, gifted frogs (as if they were as easy/cheap to breed as Anuras which they weren't!) She more than repaid all the kindness shown to her. As for Dom, by providing Sets & Starter Sets week after week, he is saving this thread almost single-handedly (IMO) & has been for quite a while. While his habs are filled with Sets destined for others, they are definitely NOT being used for breeding/advancing. The sale of the frogs goes NOT to him but to someone else. Both Dean & Dom more than reflected the generosity shown to them.

That said, there are few Deans & Doms in the world or in this thread. And, I, too, worry about what will happen when such people disappear. I will freely admit I don't see myself taking their place. Nor anyone else for that matter. In fact, my link to this game/forum is more tenuous than ever. A few triggers & I'm gone but NOT because I'm done with the 'dex but because I've lost too many close friends, "Neighbors," in the forum.

I could have written your post, Ella. Now how sad is that?!
