No update, problems with Neighborhood Major problems with GC this morning in spite of the fact that I haven't updated or done anything new or outrageous with my iPhone like dropping in boiling water. I was perilously close to terminal frustration with PF, GC, & anything Apple related. This is why I'm with Mal in that I prefer my books to electronic games. Aside from the plots, books are predictable. Further they are sturdy & their authors don't rip their pages out if you don't update or otherwise coddle them. Hey, all! I have a bit of a pond problem over here. I'd gotten behind on my sets, and caught them all up at once. Between sets, racers and breeders, I'm almost out of space. So if you could use one of the following, please let me know. Thanks for promoting open spaces! Available sets include Frog Rock, Photo Session, Chalkboard and Firefighters. I'll be selling off remainders on Monday, so please ask if you need any. Many thanks to Quossum, Snappy, Lisi, Heeranc, Paula, Terra, DLStar, Java, Meplie and Croqueta for the frogs. Also, I make a list of frog gifts in Memo so I can reciprocate. Being able to still see the frogs when I double click to go from PF to memos in iOS7 makes it that much easier. A different dexing strategy Since I am dexing Fortuno now, I would like to share another dexing method. When breeding like to like (Fortunos together in this case) there is a maximum of 2/4 or 50% chance that the progeny will be different from the parent frogs (Also the same chance for them to be identical to the parents.) Since I prefer to keep my habs full of different frog breeds, this method is not practical for me to use to 'dex an entire high-level breed. What I do instead, is breed an Anura of the color combo I want with the high level frog (normal method). Although, for the highest possibility for new high-level frogs, I choose an Anura to breed for three gaps in my 'dex (this is where a spreadsheet comes in handy, though it is not required.) In this example I have a Beige Picea Fortuno and I wanted to get the following Fortunos: Beige Folium, Tangelo Folium, and Tangelo Picea. I bred a Tangelo Folium Anura eight times to the Beige Fortuno, waiting a few to several seconds between each breeding. The results were: Five Fortunos and three Anuras. Two of the Fortunos were new. Statistically there is a 50% chance you will get an Anura or a Fortuno and 37.5% chance of getting a Fortuno that is new (not a Beige Picea). I like this method because it is much easier to tame and sell Anuras that I don't need than it is to wait or use up many potions on Fortuno eggs from breeding with the like-to-like method. That's the method I always use, I only breed like breeds together if the two happen to have the offspring desired or if I just need the XP.
