I'll split up the set & send you & terra each half. Sharing is caring, as they say in preschool (which terra will find out all about in a few short years!)

And thanks, meplie, iluvjae, JKLau for frogs, and thanks very much Cetacea for the Heat Wave starter set!

    On frog racing

Ok, this will prolly make some of your eyes roll but I just have to ask--

Will tapping furiously on my iPad screen make my racing frog go any faster? And if I simply let my frog's happiness dwindle during the race-- will it have any impact on my chances of success?

    Expert opinions, anyone?

lol I am no expert but I know that tapping will not change anything and when I race, I use the potion if the frog happiness go under 80%, especially if the other frogs are close to mine. :)

Tapping - no idea if it helps. I do it, but I can't tell if it makes a difference.

Happiness - this definitely impacts the frog's chance of winning. Making sure your frog is at highest happiness before it starts racing, and giving it a boost with a potion if it flags, are the things you can do to help it. Otherwise you just gotta hope it eats enough flies to keep it's strength up.

The only other thing that's good to do is race a frog at highest value for it's level. Eg. I've got a Green Callaina Gemma that's a good racer, because it's at 191/191 speed/stamina, which I believe is the highest speed/stamina for level 28.

Last tip: I think it's slightly more winning to race a frog with higher stamina than speed. It's best if you can get both values at top-of-their-level, but usually you can't.

Here's a few racers I've had luck with. DISCLAIMER: no frog will win 100% of the time, even if he's top speed/stamina for his level. Sometimes they're going to lose. My recommendation for good racers is no guarantee of outcome nor do I assume any liability for lost races.

    Floresco - Maroon Viola 102/102
    Bulbus - Maroon Viola 100/101
    Templum - 116 max - Purple Floris 116/115
    Lunaris - Glass Viola 129/127
    Aceris - max 129 - White Ceres 129/127

    Level 20 - Shelbus/PictorisTabula - max 136
    Pictoris - Orange Folium - 134/136
    Pictoris - Maroon Callaina - 134/136

    Level 21 - Skeletos, Lotus, Pyramis - max 143
    Skeletos - Lime Picea - 141/143

    Level 23 - max 157. Palma/Coclearis/Mustacium
    Beige Callaina Palma - 156/154
    Mustacium Golden Aurum - 152/156

    Level 24 - Axis/Infinitas/Igneous - max 163
    Axis - Cocos Cafea - 158/163
    Igneous - #Black Carota 163/157

    Level 25 - max 167
    Scutalata - Golden Cafea 167/160

    Level 26 - max 175
    Botulus - Golden Bruna 175/175

    Level 27 - max 182
    Janus - Red Caelus 169/182

    Level 28 - max 191
    Levar - Blue Bruna - 191/189
    Gemma - Green Callaina- 191/191

Hope this is a little helpful and not too grandstanding! :D

Thank you ^.^ I should have my ipod fixed by Friday hopefully c:
I have a lot more time on my hands than expected. All she does is eat, sleep, and poop. I actually played Zelda for 6 hours yesterday! So all my froggy friends won't go neglected after all :D There's been moments when I've been bored, even. Good news, she seems amused by watching the frogs hop around. And she's only 3 days old...Pocket Frogs prodigy, perhaps?

When I race, I wil try to wait until the last several (~5-10) meters to use a potion for a high-level frog, if needed. I've noticed that if you give the frog a boost too soon it will often be passed by other frogs. Of course if you wait too long, there's not enough track left for him to catch up. It is a matter of timing it right (esp. if it gets your frog more flies). Watch for the flies and if you need a boost, try to time it so your frog will catch up to some of them. Otherwise, the happiness meter may run down and he won't pass the other frogs. Moreover, Jackaboom is correct that for some races, your frog will not win even if boosted. If you want to discover whether PF may be stuck in a "losing streak", sometimes you can try racing with a tested low-level frog first.

Thanks to ADP for a Favus and a Fortuno,
    Dlstar for a Mustachium,
    Erie man for a Volta,
    Miamare23 for a Pulvillus and a Pingo,
    TG54 for a Figularis,
    Sneeb for a Foramen,

and anyone else who sent gifts recently.

    Good evening to all.

My baby is almost a year old now. You will have tons of time to play for at least a few months, especially if you are nursing since your hands are free (or will be when you get the hang of it).

Oh yes, the first year should still allow you time for frogs! The only reason I completed Tiny Tower is the night feeds.
Mine are 4 and 2 and my PF time is quite limited, especially when the older one is not at school for the summer holidays.

Brief visit to say well done Terraa, thanks to recent gifters, but people clearly aren't looking at the meplie files, and it's hard to pick frogs I don't have, seeing as I just passed the real 80% dexed :). Goodnight.

Thank you Snappy for the kind congrats. To be honest with you, I really didn't keep track. It did take a fairly long amount of time if I do remember correctly.

I would imagine it differs from person to person as it all depends on ones style of play.

Thanks, really helpful!!! Trying to find different ways to build my dex and maximize the mailbox real estate ;)

When you're back up on your device, do remind me where we left off on Bovis. Kinda lost steam and got distracted by races :) Hope you & your baby are settling in well-- I can't remember how it worked for me, but I surely didn't get as much sleep as I would like!
