I've been getting that a lot lately: getting frogs in the same color/pattern combos that I've previously had (as gifts from the pond I mean). It's only happened to me since the update so I think it must have something to do with that. Thanks meplie for the Frondis! Thanks Cetacea for the Tesla Coil set. Anyone else want a crack at it, please let me know! Cetacea, I've gotten no takers on the Glittering Gems set so I think I'm going to send half of them back to you, just so you can share the wealth & sell for coin. Sound ok?

I think that really depends on the level of frog - I say that, because I don't mind selling eggs if they aren't the right color/pattern if the frog is lower level and matures quickly. With those frogs I set up 16 Anura of the color I want to breed and breed the chosen subject of my dexing to each of the 16 Anura, using the dex to track my progress. I did Anura to Glacio to Tabula this way, running from maroon to glass breed and color at a time. If its a higher level frog I breed a "color wheel" - all the primary colors and all the secondary colors. You get duplicate secondary colors since there are more primary colors of frogs than 16. As soon as I've got a color dexed, I replace that frog with another frog if the same secondary color. So if I'm done with orange and my orange frog is an orange aurum, I'll breed another frog further down the color range to be my aurum frog. My initial color wheel takes up almost 3 habs. Now that I'm down to glass and have 6 secondary frogs left, they are all in my nursery. I breed 3 habs at a time, with 6 dedicated for breeding. Everyone gets tamed and I generally gift almost everything I breed and what I pick up in the pond. The color wheel is SLOW since I don't sell eggs when I get the wrong frog and sometimes it takes me a bunch of tries to get the right frog. Staggering my breeding, 3 habs at a time makes it a little less tedious when I'm taming. 8 level 28 frogs take about 45 minutes to hop in the pond - everyone hops enough to earn the cost of breeding on top of being tamed. Clearly I have way too much time on my hands!
I've had a lot of froggy gifts over the last couple of days as I finish out my Favus. As soon as I have free habitats, I should be done with the last 6 glass! Yay! Now onto Nebula. If you are on my friends list and don't want Nebula, please let me know. I'm happy to refrain - and please don't ever feel like you need to gift me back. I figure they are worth the coin even if you already have the frog in your index. I didn't have a complete Anura index done for a while! I was starting to do challenges, so I'd look in my index and think, "darn, I don't have a beige viola Anura, I've only got a beige bruna Anura, but I do have a white viola Anura... But that's 400+ coins for each out of my index and I just want one frog - and it's not in the frog mart!" just get your first 16 done in one primary color. You may be buying stuff from your index or the frog mart, or even breeding higher level frogs to lower level frogs to come up with the next color of Anura, but if you've got all 16 secondary colors sitting in your habs, you are good to go. There were a few Anuras I had none of, in any color, so I bought a couple of higher level frogs out of the frog mart along the way just to breed that color and dex the 16 from my habs. Anuras are fast though, so technically you don't even have to sell the eggs and can all of your breeding coin back. One thing I found though - because the coin values are only 2 digits with Anura, they can repeat a lot with different colors. You've been breeding like crazy and now have 4 eggs worth 42 coins in a hab and you know (the frog is now in your dex) that one of those frogs is the one you want - but which one? You'll know pretty quickly, luckily... I just sent you an Emblema. Hop him in the pond - he is useful for a good chunk of experience points when he is tame and will probably earn you some good pond presents and level you up for another habitat. Then if you sell him you have a lot of Anura breeding funds.
Thanks for the Emblema. Also, I'll remember these tips. I've got 50% of the white and the blue Anura's, so I'll probably just work on the secondary colours for those to start with.
