Hey, I tried to send you the 12 set. But, I'll send the 11. :D
I'm celebrating last few old frogs Dexed :)

Oh, now I see the set asked for was 2013. I sent set 12 2012, and one frog of set 11 before it occurred to me Nodare is a New set frog. :D

Hey, I'm just getting started playing pocket frogs and I have no idea what I'm doing. Is there some kind of resource or 'do this first' type website somewhere?

Edit: And now, the Ice cream sundae set of week 12 2012 is up for the sharing. :D Thanx, sneeb.

I believe there is a Wiki page?

Honestly though, there's no 'right' or 'wrong' way to play (unless you count a practice known as time shifting ), and everyone works out a method that suits them.

Suggest you index the whole Anura breed though, so you have the ability to breed frogs in any of the possible colour combinations relatively cheaply.

After that, it's up to you - hardcore dexing by type or colour, or random breeding, or completing awards and sets... pick a method you like, and just go for it. :)

Thank you to ADP for the Tabula and Pulvillus

Also a reminder that I still have an Olive Albeo Mazeus from last weeks set available should anyone need.

Thank you, Snappy, for sending me another Glacio

And I got a bunch of other frogs the past couple days, too, so thanks everyone :>

If anyone needs certain color super low level frogs for their dex just let me know!

You can also check out http://www.thonky.com/pocket-frogs/

Otherwise, try not to run out of coins or frogs, but if you do either take your last frog to the pond for presents, or wait til your daily gift pops up a new frog for you ;)

And of course, make friends for trading! :)

I also found this to be a good resource http://pocketfrogs.wikia.com/wiki/Pocket_Frogs_Wiki

I keep the wiki open on my iDevice. It's been useful to keep track of what frogs come up on what levels, a reference for breeding back sets, etc.

Very valuable advice I got here was to buy the expanded nursery capabilities and the express mailbox. Those are real money purchases, but add flexibility for mass breeding and getting stuff through your inbox at a more reasonable rate.

I think the thing that was the hardest when I got started was the cost (in coins you earn) of additional habitats and how quickly breeding and habitats depleted my coins.

I discovered pretty quickly that putting time into the pond not only generated frogs to tame and sell but a lot of presents to cash in. Breeding your highest level frogs and growing, taming and selling them puts on both experience points and covers the cost of breeding them plus more. Some folks index - breed whole color spectrums of a certain frog breed to come up with all 368 of that frog.

Ella got me started on sets. What I couldn't breed, the kind members of this forum gifted me, which generated stamps, potions, experience points from taming and coins if I sold them and good karma if I shared them. Hopping a 93 coin high level frog in the pond to tame is going to earn you a lot of stuff in the pond at a lower level.

I'd say pocket frogs is more about sheer persistence at first. It's not as much a eye hand coordination game or killing things game than a collecting game. And it's certainly a game I enjoy more playing with people than solo!

    Somewhere else
You're the best, Cygnet! Even tho' I'm kinda jealous of the super name of the Android PF Forum 'cause now ours sounds so blah in comparison. ;)

    Psychic?

It was the first set that came to mind for it was so incredibly beautiful, it was to die for. Psycho?

You've already gotten great advice from others like Andi & Adp. I'd second the idea of buying the Express MB & Babyproofing Kit if you're serious about the game. They are non-consumables & quickly prove their worth. Nice gesture to the devs, as well, for creating something you enjoy.

Only other thing I'd add is what most people, myself included, forgo doing in the rush of enthusiasm over a new game : read the Help file in the Menu. It'll answer many of the questions you never knew you had!

p.s.: Thanks to Adp for the Pulvillus & Martin for the Pistrix.

p.p.s.: The biggest thanks by far to Cygnet for being receptive to new ideas & his/her warm welcome to the Mobage orphans among us. Way to go!

I am looking for any Lanterna and/or Tribus. I can offer any standard level 1-16 frog, or a Marinus. My gamecenter ID is jav1856.

Someone here should hold a contest to create a name for the thread (not me, no time, leaving for China soon). Have a vote and pick a winner, I'll do the dirty work when your done (or when I get back). Can't use The Pond or The Frog Share (already taken). Just an idea.

And your welcome. Always here for you.

Okay so it seems I need some more active GC friends; the only gift frog I've had in the last two days was from lisi - thanks for that :D.

So, I'm gonna send out some requests so I feel I'm sending my random gifts out to where I might be more likely to get random ones back! Not that that is the be all and end all, of course, I just don't like seeing my mailbox empty so much.
