Quoted your reply in full because I tend to agree that consumable items in games are insidious. Once you begin using them, as S (??) did, they become easier & easier to justify; they can become a crutch. Devs count on the "impatience factor" to make $$$. I've always argued that non-consumable items (e.g. Express MB, BabyProofing) were way more valuable for they can't be used up; they've all I bought in PF. If patience is a virtue, I must be amazingly virtuous! Related side-note: NB uses one non-consumable (elevator) in TT & none in PP. That said, I also feel that those who take inordinate pleasure in the game & may be limited in ways we can't know (difficulty hearing, walking, etc.) may choose to use their money NOT to go to a restaurant or travel, for example, but for simple gaming pleasures. After all, 1,000 potions/stamps cost less than a good steak dinner & has zero cholesterol! Plus, pleasure lasts a lot longer. It's easy, but sometimes hazardous, to generalize when one doesn't know the people they're addressing. "Know your audience," a saying, is lost in the anonymity of cyberspace. S's experience presents a cautionary tale but it may not apply to everyone. Agree. That goes for the many different ways ALL of us play this game. My eyes glaze over when I even think of 'dexing. Good head start (back) ! I realized that my awards are still accounted as "done" even if I deleted and reinstalled the game, preventing me from getting the XP when I do them again... That's a big slowdown to progress and get new habitats... So I decided to create a new game again under a new Game Center account on another device to benefit again from this boost (would be good that Nimblebits solves this in a later update...) Anyway thanks to all I'll stay around here and get back to breeding and try as fast as possible to have nice frogs that can be helpful to gift you ! See you, LeDav ! Considering you are level 40-something and I'm halfway through level 27 as of a few minutes ago, you either play a lot more than I - or you were somewhere over level 3 when you joined in January Or both! I'm happy that I can send you frogs you can use though. I never know if I am helping people get ahead or jamming up their mailboxes. At the moment I'm dexing Tabula x Glacio x Anura in this sort of staged strategy. I've got cocos, black and glass left on the Tabula. Once I'm done there I think I'll dex Favus (ideally tabula ends on level 28) but probably by color wheel as cause those are really expensive frogs! I figure I'll be there by middle of next week.
Fat Finger Fearfulness This morning, after successfully gifting (I hope) two people, I wanted to gift some extra Set frogs I bred on my own to some others. The action of scrolling was like a roulette wheel - it choose the winners (recipients) not me! Two in a row. I've almost never had problems gifting before (a fat finger 1x/month, if that) but two in a row?! And my hands are as steady as a brain surgeon's so that's hardly an issue. Up until now, I've chosen a frog to gift then lightly scrolled down my list of friends to pick someone. It's always a bit tricky since I rarely get a confirmation of whom I sent it to & NEVER get a "Do you really want to send this Blue Albeo Skylark to [person's name])?," not since NB switched from Plus+ to GC. I MISS PLUS+ sooo much. So, I tried sending another frog to someone by pressing the screen down tightly while scrolling until the intended recipient was visible. Then I used a light touch on the person's name. It *seemed* to work. Before I start gifting the Set I want to be certain that this method of choosing someone is a valid one vs. my normal method of scrolling lightly. Two fat fingers in a row has me spooked. How do most of you scroll while gifting? Have I been flirting with "fat finger syndrome" all along? p.s.: I of beg you, NB, give us back a confirmation box for sending!!! You have one for PPs & TT for sending to someone, it shouldn't be that hard. p.p.s.: Thanks so much for the plethora of presents - to dlstar for the three Partiri, Maholah for the Quilta, Snappy for the Emblema, BW27 for the Skeletos, java for the Hennae, & jklau for the Fortuno.

I always have to scroll lightly, barely tapping the screen with my finger, and make sure I get my thumb on the right bar. Luckily for me I have slim fingers, but sadly (unless, by chance, the mistaken person ends up being me )that's not the case for everyone. Anyhow, today's been a good day frogwise. I just passed to level 24 and I'm sitting at 75% Templum. I'm trying to sell my babies as soon as they can make me a few hundred coins so I can start on my next breed.
