Changing of the Guard To all who reached personal milestones (new levels, etc), congrats! It feels great & should be celebrated. The post from mbarnes about hitting 1,000 in gifts made me think about the Leaderboard, something I check about as often as the percentage of my 'dex (translation: almost never). What I found surprising was how mistaken I was about who, aside from Dom, Andi, & dean, were high on the "Gifts Sent" list. Coins & % of 'dex is not necessarily a good guide to generosity. And speaking of Dom et al, since my last post I counted the number of messages from post-update people here. They *vastly* outnumber the pre-update people -- it's stunning. With the update I had anticipated an influx of avid new players in this forum but I hadn't foreseen the departure, in posts anyway, of so many regulars. A changing of the guard, if you will. Given that I'm adding no new trading partners & this is, by definition, a Trading Thread, my commentaries, observations, opinions, & what passes for my wit are less suited to a frank, focused trading environment. For the moment, I'll just scale back & post thanks but the road ahead has been blazed by others. p.s.: Lots of thanks to Snappy for the Signum, Quo for the Hennae, Andi for the Coclearis, & java for the Lotus.
lisianne I will count myself as one of the "post-update" players in your eyes. However, in truth I have been with this game since the beginning (even before the Trivium, Signum, Orbis, etc. update) I just happened to stumble across this forum when I was struggling in my quest to find the last of at least one of every breed of the new frogs. I was and still am pleasently surprised at the friendliness and generosity on this board. Before this board, I had not gifted at all as I didn't know anyone else who played the game. This certainly has changed. I hope your quip about "the road ahead has been blazed by others" was said in jest and did not have any cruel intentions. I, along with all the members I would hope - "new" and "old", come here for sanctuary, if you will, to find help and help others. I, for one, hope I am not stepping on any toes while I am here and would hate to see you fade into the background. This is after all a forum and your commentaries, opinions, etc. should go hand in hand with the trading aspect of this thread.

Don't cut us o.. lisianne your "cut me o.." post still makes me smile. I've mentioned before that I enjoy reading your posts, so don't even consider scaling back. Your wit and insight add immensely to the appeal of this thread. I am a transient here. I stepped away after completing the V1 Blues and will surely do so again once I complete the V2 Blues. But it was comforting to find so many familiar voices still contributing to the thread when I returned. Hey, my 'gifts sent' count would be at 1 were it not for this thread. And I keep reading, not just to say thanks and make requests, but to read what others are saying in the pond (like eavesdropping!) - it is fun. Hi malbarnes, you are not putting a strain on my mailbox and I enjoy receiving the "Blues"! I've been clearing out my mailbox discovering gifts sent days (weeks?) ago by you and other players that I've not responded to. As much as I value that response, I've been terrible about it lately! It's your generosity and helpfulness that I wanted to acknowledge and I apologize for creating the impression of complaining about a full mailbox. Many thanks for all of the "Blues" malbarnes!
hey lisi! like mbarnes and surely everyone else on the forum, i like to read your posts. i dont care if u never gift me a frog again please keep posting. even though sometimes im not really sure what your talking about cause of some of the words u use. guess my vocabs not big enough. as for me i have slowed down playing lately. think i need a short break for fly eating. but ill be back. im not gonna quit till i over take u on the gifts sent leaderboard! i also want to say congrats to all who have reached milestones in PF.
Yeah! Just leveled up to lvl 43 ! And 20,000 frogs in the Dex one frog later! I noticed a while back people were talking about their favorite frogs. Been thinking my current favorite frog is Scutulata and my favorite color is probably Olive.
I should reiterate also enjoyment of lisi posts! And fully go along with all the other points here. I've once again gone pretty inactive in the thread, but am trucking along with the dex, just hit fake 64%, and still having fun. Expect Templum gifts from me in a few days .
This week's set is very appropriate for Valentine's Day. I appreciate its simplicity. Already bred the Janus and the Roboris will be easy. Hi to all ... Thank you so much for all the gifts I have received over the last few days .... Apologies for not keeping track of "who sent what" at this time ....,I think I'll have to try the "screenshot" method someone suggested a few pages back .... When I don't keep track I resort to taming as many gift frogs as I have friends and send one to each person ... Following Lisi's lead I checked out the leader boards on "gifts sent" for the first time and realised I had friends in my list that only ever gifted 1 frog !!!! (And all of my GC friends came through this forum) No wonder I never heard from them ....I'm in the bottom third on that board (about 380 frogs sent) In my defense I only started trading after V2 release and finding this forum ... I cleaned up my list as a result .... I would like to know the frogs in this week's valentine set ... I am still waiting for a back set to mature before starting on it .... I know a violet albeo Janus is part of it and I have gone ahead and bred a few .... They will be ready in a day if anyone needs one ... !! lisi I read your post about the direction this forum is taking at the moment .... Being heavily focused on trading .... My thoughts are that any member is part of a forum culture and there are enough people left like yourself who contribute to content that's interesting and entertaining. Lets wait and see if some of the newcomers will extend their posts beyond "dry trading business" only and come on board .. XXX PS: there is a valentine mission on TT in case you haven't noticed .... That might lift your spirits
The title of this thread is Pocket Frogs Trading Thread after all. I don't see why the normal conversations and trading can't go hand in hand?
