Thank you to Quossum, awboj, Maholah, Nirtew, Madmaze, Java, Andi, Ella, Laura, julesfish, Jklau, dariaclone, Spear, danjarus, JoEllyn, Cygent, Marti, Domenic, heerance, Shortbus, flip and RaeSwitch. I hope I did not miss anyone, if I did .. Thank you.

I have now finished the letter "A". Going to work on level 17 frogs for awhile now and then probably back to the alphabet and Botulus. Have a great day everyone.

    true confessions

    Dear froggie friends,

If you have sent me a frog in the last 3 to 4 weeks, I thank you! I haven't been able to keep track of who has sent what, and I'm hoping I gifted a frog in return. If I have sent you a frog that you originally sent to me, please accept my apologies! While I really like all the new frogs, I'm having a tough time figuring out how to manage breeding and gifting! My new plan is to write down who sends what frog so that I can repay the favor. All that to say, please be patient with me :)

How do you all breed and gift frogs so quickly?

I know this thread has gone over this before, but I'm going to ask again anyway. I am almost done with the non-dexing/frog count achievements, so I'm going to start dexing (and probably also working on old sets). Since I have zero breeds at 100%, where should I start?

I'm at level 17, if that changes anything. Peace.

I reccomend starting with Anuras. Reasons:

    1) You probably have a lot of Anuras in your dex already.

    2) They're level one frogs, so even though they don't get you much XP, they help you get used to the feel of dexing

    3) They're cheaper to breed and faster to mature.

It doesn't matter what level you are; I was level 15 when I did Anuras (actually, I unofficialy started at level 8, but I began serious dexing at Level 15). They're lightning fast to 'dex; I finished 200 in one week when I was doing them. Good luck:)

I agree with BW with all the reasons stated PLUS once you have the Anuras dexed you can make any request frog you need (assuming you have the required breed). They are cheap to buy from the froggydex also.

Thank you meplie and Spearcom for their very generous Lanterna and Templum wheel donations. I promise that both of you will recieve some of the frogs I breed with them. You two are great!:)

I'm really nearing the end of Glacio; I have seven primary colors left to finish. I should be done by the weekend. Last call if anyone wants my wheel. -BW27

I never really thought about that. I never really did request frogs because I never had the exact breeds they asked for and I never have time, but I might start.

The only reason I don't like breeding low level frogs with high level frogs is that you could lose a lot of money. My whole breeding plan revolves around always assuring a profit (which is why my money total is always going up) and I'm not used to taking a risk.

Then I will start with Anuras. Should be super quick with Babyproofing.

New update today makes going to Neighbours list crash the game lol ... seems so familiar from plus+ days.

That's exactly what I went through after the second update. Thanks for the warning, though, and I agree that it seems like something Plus+ would do.

And @ Jetruix- Great choice. Yes, Anuras are very fast to complete. My 200-Anuras-in-one-week was without babyproofing, so you'll probably go fast with it. Again, good luck and happy dexing! :)

You can still make money breeding with low value frogs. Each breeding basically costs you 25% of the high value frog. You have a 50% chance of getting a high value frog - either a "winner" or a "loser". If you breed all of the high value frogs to maturity, your expected value is 50% of the high value frog; you make a profit of, on average, 25% of the high value frog. If you want to break even you can sell your "losers" before the mature. Typically that's what I try to do.
Note my math assumes you're breeding Anuras with, say Cestis. It's different when the high value frog approaches the value of the low level frog.

I ignore the low level frogs and only buy them when I need a color combo I don't happen to have in the habs. For example I needed a Blur Floris to breed the 16th blue star frog, so.. I bought the lowest Blue Floris frog that needed one of the Blue accent colors the Star frogs had. Like BW I don't like to waist my frog coins or time unless there is a 50% chance of getting one more frog added to the Dex. Lately, my frog coins are going up a lot because of all the new frogs I find in the pond. :)

Okay? What I logged in here for was to see if a group wanted to choose the ugliest new frog and breed it as a group?

OK, so has anyone else updated ?? Any problems ??

I don't know much about "programming" (that one semester in college didn't do much) but I do know from reading threads that some people have problems and others do not

:D Anybody interested in breeding Foramen as a group so they don't have to stare at a screen full of the ugly things.

I'm starting where I'm at with Blue. Sneebdubple 0.1.0 I'll gift the Blue Foramen to anybody who wants them. Pick a color and reply quote, making a note of how many you'd like to trade. I think it should take a week for me to make and gift all 16 Blue Foramen.

On second thought, this group of people breeding and gifting sets of the same frog, just because I think it is the ugliest frog, is a dumb idea. Esp. since Foramen is the 3rd to last frog. I'll give these frogs away to anybody who wants one.

I have (edit: haven't) updated. No problems so far on my iPod.

Woops, no I haven't. Forgot I was in Pocket Frogs thread. I did the DragonVale update. Sorry for mis-information.

I'm level 17 also and I started with Anuras and I'm up to 87% on Velatus already. Someone suggested dexing two breeds at once so next I think I'll go up a level or two to breed along side my Marmorea.
Since the big upgrade I haven't seen a Signum show up again as a potion frog and I still need one. They use to show up several times a month. :(
I am also crashing when I try to go to Neighbors with this latest upgrade. Double :(

Fine, I'll just sell ALL of the frogs I've got growing for the next few days - saves time taming them to gift ... and it seems that's what the devs want me to do ;).

Thanks for being our alpha tester. I normally update PF without worrying about it (have never had problems in the past) but glad that I didn't know about the update before your post. Will send you something tomorrow for your troubles :)
