    Hi everyone!

New to this forum although not a newbie in Pocket Frogs (had about 55% of them in Froggy Index)…
After the upgrade do v2.0, I would like to confirm the following:
1 - Is it true that the NEW warning when getting a new frog in a present has gone?
2 - I used to make a little cheating in the game: in order to have eggs in non Babyprooof Habitats, I advanced time in the Definitions, move the frogs and went back to normal time. I have done it again after upgrading just to find out that ALL my frogs in ALL habitats have reverted to eggs. Nice move for all sinners like me… Has this happened to anyone else?

    46 new frog breeds???

Have just added a few of you guys on GC, and will have plenty of random new frogs to send out in the morning, so feel free to add me MartiNZ in the meantime :D.

I still only have 26 of the new breeds represented - would love to have a Gemma, vicis, tessera, Palma, hennae, symphonium, and Volta, off the top of my head. Anything else would be a bonus!

I never noticed the "NEW" warning sign but others have mentioned that it is now gone. As for time traveling, all you have to do is set your time a few days behind the present date and then back. That will mature all eggs you have ;)

Thank you Mindion, Java, C, JoEllyn, Maholah and Domenic for the frogs over the last couple of days. Trying to keep track of gifts but if I missed someone, thank you.

My habitats are still a disaster and hopefully can get organized this weekend and do some serious gifting. With so many flies needed to tame a frog it is taking some time. Can't decide what to do with the catalog/habitats for the "old" frogs.

    Good Morning!

Nirtew, thanks for the link to the Wiki. For now I've copied Giroth's helpful list, but I'll definitely be checking it out.

Andi, the Signums were for winning the challenge as to the timing of the new update. With all the excitement, I neglected to post an announcement about that. Congrats! They're supposed to bring some coin to help with breeding. ;-)

Also, I agree with you--It took me about 2 years to get to 100%. Dropping to 54%, and with all the breeds taking so long to mature, I think it will take me longer to get there again -- if I ever do.

Thanks to Snappy, Disastrously, Andi, Dom, Dean and Nirtew for the frogs! AND thanks to Andi, Dean, and JoEllynO for the new frogs after the update!

(JoEllynO, do I know you?? LOL)

I sync with iTunes on my Mac and that in turn is backed up to a portable external Hard Drive using Apple's Time Machine software. If you use a PC, then just follow instructions to back up PF .ipa file to an external drive after syncing with iTunes, and you should be ok. :)

Thanks for the link. I saw a Infinitas in the pond today and had no clue what it was, the one I have is a Maroon Tingo so you can't really see the pattern. Thought I had missed something :) So strange to see frogs and not know the breed.

I was not thrilled when I found out that PF was going to use GameCenter, even though I understood why. Here are a few "problems" I have:

Problem: Don't like how when you gift to someone the confirmation is before the name.
Solution: Be careful and try to avoid "fat finger"

Problem: I play a few other games that use GC and now all friends that once upon a time played PF and synced with GC are showing up even if they have not updated.
Solution: Guess I will have to check habitats to see who is actively playing and make a list. Can't "unfriend" them because I need them for other games.

Problems: Names that I have known for 2 years are different.
Solution: Make it part of the list.

Question - Does anyone know if GC saves our data for sure? Can we transfer your game to a new device via GC? This was so easy with plus+. I know GC CAN save data but is it a feature in PF?

Question - Has anyone noticed if their numbers in leaderboards is updating ? I have checked my the last 2 days and nothing is changing even though I am breeding, eating flies, finding pond presents and gifting.

Thank you for "listening" to my mini-rant :) and if you can answer my questions I would appreciate it.

    Somewhere else
Welcome back, Nirtew! I wondered what became of you. You were such an avid trader. Definitely understand the "cold turkey" part. It was bearable for me for I never aimed to be a 'dexer -- not that much time.

    Here's the location for a PC: Library-->Music-->My Music-->iTunes-->iTunes Media--> Mobile Applications

My problem exactly. Inherited my first iPod Touch from sister-in-law using her account. Changing a "nickname" is easy but the last time(s) I tried to change my account, I had big problems & was back to square one so I went back to her account. One of the reasons I dislike GC. And a reason I may have missed writing down actual names of gifters.

Just discovered that gifting with GC is equally disconcerting. Never even certain the person I tapped to get my gift will receive it for there's no confirmation of "Do you want to use 1 stamp to send xxxx to Username." Plus received a gift, the word "One" is on a different line as "name frog" & gifter. At first I thought someone named "One" was incredibly generous!!

    Thanks for the info, bezoar.

Agree, Quo, with many things. First, it is "overwhelming" to have access to so many new frogs at once.

Next, I agree that NB wants to get on with their new apps. Wouldn't call it smug, though, would call it foolish to release so many at once. Many people won't d/l an app which hasn't been updated in a year so why not break up the release into every 3 months or so?

Finally, like you, I sooooo agree the catalog could have been expanded given the # of new frogs released. More habs as well. I'm having great difficulty parting with some of my fav frogs to make room the influx of these newbie frogs. Don't know HOW to set up my habs. Any suggestions? Anyone?

Doubt I'll be able to complete the Weekly Set this week.

Only 26? The update was released a day or two ago. You're on track to collect all 1,000,000 new frogs within the year! Not making fun of you, MariNZ (related to AndiNZ?), just making jealous of you. :p

Appreciate the link. Not sure how I'll keep track of the pattern of all the new frogs. Guess it'll come in time.

p.s.: Big thanks to Cygnet for the Emblema & Gemma, sc1968 for the Pluma, Papillo, Volta & Templum, Laura for the ligo, & spearcom for the Papillo. These new frogs breed slowly & my habs are still full of favs so I may respond with a more prosaic (i.e. not a new) breed of frog.

Guess I better unlurk (Is that a word?)
Been playing for awhile, took a few months off earlier this year and then came back. Was so excited to see the update and new frogs. Found this forum and you all seem like such a kind group of people.
Working on the new frogs. Been awhile since my level mattered but I am now motivated and will be level 30 shortly (I hope.). I feel well set with the older frogs.

My GC is JoEllynO. Feel free to add. Hoping to stay organized and return gifts since I now have friends.

Thanks. Not worried about the 30+, I'll get them when I get there. (Any would be well recieved though.)
Current needs - botulus, nodare, mustacium, figularis, and templum (have encountered her 6+ times in the pond and the breeding won't stick!!)

I think the mad dexing was my problem. I'm going to be a lot more laid back and do more trading.
