Things I've noticed Lots & lots of Anura hopping about in the pond. Way more than normal. Just strange. If you tap twice to receive a gift from someone (thanks, Spearcom, for the Igneous!) you get the gift twice. Or at least I did. I had expected/hoped for more habs since NB was doubling the number of frogs. Not so. Catalog is similarly unchanged - 50 spots. Awards unchanged. No new scenery. I'm not saying this is bad, just that I had expected more than frogs. At this point, beginning the game late this afternoon, I have only a few of the "new" frogs. In MB is a Vicis, Tabula, Corus, Frondis, & now two Igneous. Breeding from pond in my nursery are 2 Dimidius & a Volta (I think). Until these frogs arrive or mature, I'll just be gifting ordinary stuff. Meanwhile, I'm also trying to do the Weekly Set. Will pass Starter Sets on if I'm able to complete it in a timely fashion. Am I the only one trying to do it? Since the distraction of getting/breeding/sending new frogs is pretty compelling I can see why others might just say "the heck with it." Haven't managed to add all my previous Plus+ friends but I'm slowly working on it. Not sure of some peoples' GC names for example are you Giroth or Disastrously or something else? Stupidly, I didn't write down or take screenshots of my Neighborhood. Also, what are peoples' ideas for the new frogs? Keep them in habs? Add them to catalog to replace more ordinary frogs? None of the above? p.s.: And, if anyone, perchance, has a troublesome Olive Ceres Gemma (or any Gemma) hopping around harassing & bullying other frogs, it's worth 42 stamps to me.
Help I can't figure out how to add friends, or post my status? Also my game center ID may be . 1.0.1. . .? Or Sneebdubple but How do I search contacts when all my contacts were via the PF + ?!
Funny I seem to have a lot of Calvaria. Yeah I had hoped for some extra habitats. Half my cash frog habs are full of new breeds. Will have to rethink my strategy for fast-tracking my dex. I had hoped for some more awards and maybe a new mini-game but oh well. Enjoying getting the new breeds for now.
Lotta new faces, but I can see lots of my old pals: dean, signet, Geroth, Snappy, zeady, lisi, Maholah, dlstar, Andi, DeanKeith, Dom, and any I missed. I am truly humbled that you guys are still here. I think that's fantastic. I cold turkeyed months back because the game was taking over my life. Maybe I'll dive in again and hope I can keep it under control. I believe I can since in my *lifetime* I couldn't get to 36,800 frogs. So I'll just mosey along completing a breed or two on my way and follow this thread. I have a million questions but my first one is can I change my nickname in Game Center? I have a terrible, never used, very long nickname which I would love to change to Nirtew. Great to see everybody and I'm looking forward to getting acquainted with the people I don't know.
Welcome back Nirtew You can change your nickname on your GC account. Since I have never done it I would be nervous giving instructions. If you google it there are alot of sites that say how to do it OR maybe someone here has done it and can help.
update! hi guys i had a question about the update. i just got an iphone 5 and my actual pocket frogs game is on my ipod touch 4g (level 11). i didnt use a backup to restore my iphone, i jsut did it manually and i dont know what will happen if i get the update on both device. i still havent figured out how to transfer my game from my ipod to my iphone and im afraid if i get the update i wont have any chance because i am logged into plus+ on both and dont know what to do from there. help! thank you so much.
Hey Nirtew! The update brought me back as well. On the GC app, under the Me section you click on the account banner. In there it shows nickname. You just tap it to change it.
If you have the Pocket Frogs IPA file (version 1.2.2) on your computer still you can install that on your iPhone 5, log into Plus+ to sync the account, then update. You CANNOT play the same game on both devices however, the game isn't set up for that. If you don't have the old game file you might be able to sync your ipod touch, update it, then put the new version on your iPhone and then sync it to Game Center. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. To find where all the ipa files are just do a search for Pocket Frogs on your computer, then right click and choose 'open containing folder' or 'file location'.
Okay, I changed my nickname. Easy. Now my problem is this: I inherited my iPad from my wife. The Account is in her name and her email. I know zilch about GC but it appears that her name and her email address will be what friends see and all the nickname does is show up on leaderboards. I'll gladly give my email and real name, but not my wife's. Is there a way to set up a new account in GC that is not the iPad's account?

So I'm patiently waiting for all my frogs to regrow up... not sure how long that will last before I just sell them! So far I have Templum, Volta, Pictoris, Skeletos, Pyramis, Mazeus, Scutulata and Quilta from pond breeding, and Emblema, Pistric, Fortuno, and Planeta from pond gifts and a Tabula I got in the frog mart this morning. Haven't decided what my new breeding and habitat strategy will be but considering I have nearly 20 million coins I'm not that worried about the cost of cloning frogs I need for sets or requests.
Above the spot where you changed the nickname under email, if you click that you can change the real name. I haven't figured out if my email is visible yet. Oops, I meant below where it says apple ID. The one above is to add additional email addresses.
Update Hey all. Have enjoyed the update so far, except that I've yet to find any new frogs. Seeddy gifted me a Volta. Thanks! If anyone has extras, I'm looking for: Templum, Papilio, Pluma, Cornus, Flecto, Figularis, Aceris, Lunaris It'll be a while before I level up to 20, no rush on anything above that. don't need help transferring never mind! i transferred my pocket frogs data successfuly . thank goodness! may i please have the latest set, trick or treat? I will definitely pay it forward and repay with any frogs within my level. So sorry i haven't really made progress and don't have a lot to offer but i can breed anything for you within my level thank you so much! p.s. how do i create a signature on this thread again?
Well I don't want to lose my 48% of the Dex that once was @ 90% So I'm either Sneebdubple or 0.1.0 I just attempted to request a bunch of my old PF+ friends and only some of the e-mails would send. At least the new frogs are pretty just breed a couple of them, so I see I've got over 40 to go find.
