I have been extremely busy of late, due to the storm, and my travel plans put on hold until tomorrow. Dom, I am also having trouble sending you a friend request. I was going to do it thru the leaderboards but you are not showing up there either.(You should be on Gifts Sent). Have you synced your PF game with GC ?
Indeed, check your GC & tap Me & you'll see the username you chose, even if it was some time ago. I'm not being elitist, just practical, when I'm not adding anyone just yet. I'll need some rave reviews & no critical bug reports from quite a few people here before I'll d/l & the update & thus can reciprocate via GC. My situation brings up an interesting point, however. If a friend updates & is no longer on Plus+ any gift sent from my account won't be received, I assume. More unclear about the vice versa part. So, it might be helpful to put one's GC name in one's sig AFTER updating. Just a thought.
Hey, all! Like you, I'm anxiously awaiting the update, including not gifting any frogs for now. I keep track in my Notes app, so I will be gifting after the update. If anyone would like to add me on GameCenter (and please do!), I'm Maholah there as well. With all the talk of the frogs, I haven't seen one of the things I'm hoping for mentioned: New challenges and awards. Has there been any mention of this that I may have missed? (And I agree that it would be great if they weren't all released at once; I'm at level 46 and would probably be overwhelmed even if they were added to upper levels.) Finally, no one had initially selected Nov. 1 for the challenge, so we'll try again: I propose a challenge: Everyone may take one guess as to when the update will be released. Whoever guesses the closest to the actual time without going past it wins. If your time slot passes and there has been no release, then you may take another guess. One person per time, please. Prize: A habitat of 8 Signums, to help fund the newest round of breeding. ***Guesses should be in the form of a time, which will be taken to be the Eastern Time Zone. I'll be using the alarm on my iPhone to check for the update at the time of each person's guess. I'll start at 7:00 am and rely on Andi, BlueWater and others to check before that time. (Thanks!)
I would also guess that if a person still on Plus+ sends a gift to someone who has updated the gift will be lost. As far as the vice versa part is concerned, we will have to wait and see how gifting works with GC - alot of questions still to be answered on gifting.
Andi, can you take the day-shift? I have school from 8:00-3:30 but I can "take over" after then. My guess is 11 AM ET.

Not really, BW, I have meetings all day, and shouldn't even be reading now. Sorry. My updated guess is midnight on nov 1 eastern, update instead of weekly set this week. If I have my time conversion right, that's a bit over 5 hours away from now?
I'm guessing 7am for the update. That should give you forerunners plenty of time to check for bugs before I get home from school. --Q
I am excited for the update. even though i am only 31% done the current dex...lol...i hope this isnt the last for PF updates though! that would be sad. I am Mindion on GC, I have added those that I could from the last few pages of this thread, but you are more then welcome to add me!!
Update Challenge So far, I have: 12:00 midnight--Andi 7:00 am -- Quossum 11:00 am -- BlueWater 2:00 pm -- Danjarus Still room for plenty of guesses. And it doesn't have to be on the hour. I'm setting my phone alarm to check with each guess, so to the minute's fine. And remember, one guess each--but if your guess time passes, you can take another (just not after the update is released!). Closest correct answer without going past the release time wins 8 Signum. According to GC, Dom you are my 13th friend, on the 31st no less. Since the current version of PF does sync somewhat with GC on the following items: Achievements, Leaderboards, and some caching of mailbox gifts. It could be possible for the new version to send gifts to the old one for items they have in common if it were enabled. And on a tangential topic, whatever happened to the floating gift "feature" in PF? Will it appear again in the new version? Thanks to Andi, Dean, Dom, Dlstar, Gracesqx, Miamare, Maholah, and anyone else who sent gifts recently. Happy Halloween to all!
