JavaRich, this week's set frogs started landing in my mailbox before I'd even seen the set! Thank you!

When they clear the MB, I will clone them to pass on. Who wants some? :)

They have no choice as plus+ stopped being supported a while ago, and let's face it, has been a right pain over the years, randomly deleting friends lists, being rather a hive of scum and hackery, and causing crashes when it felt like it.

My only concern is their keeping of progress, which I'm not sure GC is set up for.

I would have to politely disagree with you on that. Game Center is another example of an Apple fail. It, too, is heavily hacked and exploited. It also makes it harder to add and remove friends. In this case the devs have two choices:stay on the relied-upon and mostly helpful Plus+ network, or try to work a hetric transition to a less-than-mediocre gaming network. That said, DragonVale is a wonderful example of how GameCenter saves data progress.

    Thanks locama0 !

Hi AndiNZ, was up late catching up on my games! :)
Candy corns are popular here especially during this time of year. What is Halloween like for a Kiwi?

Mark me as another who, despite recurrent problems with Plus+, hopes it's not abandoned. It's the devil you know kind of thing...

Omigosh! This isn't Hallowe'en! This is more like X-Mas for me &, busy as I was, it could not have come at a more auspicious time. Thanks to java, then HowdyD, then Dom for all the Candy Corn! Gonna get cavities, you guys & gain a few kilos.

Plus, plus (not the network), so many were gifted to others, I see, I won't know whom to send them all on to! Oh, my addled brain -- it hurts to imagine how I'll do "random" this time!

Blue, I'm soooo with you on this one. GC has a sclerotic interface which allows for few modifications. Hate to think NB would transition to ***THAT*** place. Fearful they will have no choice.

High-Fructose Corn Syrup Candy Corn Starter Sets will be ready sometime tomorrow. Any takers? Diabetes & cholesterol tester kits included free, natch. Shipping & handling not included, however. <--Read the fine print!

Bluewater27, my spare Plus ID is FrogStar778. I created it for the following reasons:

    1. One can't play the same game of Pocket Frogs across multiple devices (yet).

    2. In case something bad happened to my iPod, iTunes sync and external HD backup, I wouldn't have to start from the beginning.

    3. I wanted to continue to receive pond gifts and a second account helped me continue to accept them AND trade on my primary account.

Thanks also to Dom for Candy Corn!

Sent starters to Miamare and Quossum.

Thanks to the following: Andi, Danjarus, Dean, Maholah, KaneToad92056, Vtbebop,

and anyone else who sent gifts recently.

    Good evening to everyone.

Your spare account has some very nice frogs; you've obviously taken advantage of the chance to accept gifts from the pond.:) Something that I have not been able to do on my main account for some time, since I have so many random followers who gift me random frogs 24/7. I'm thankful for their generosity, but it's a bit much when your mailbox stays full for three weeks strait.

Thanks for the frog btw. Good night everyone. :)-BW

Okay well how about I just leave it with, that's what they told me when I emailed asking about a tallscreen update, that the main delay was with dropping plus+ :).

We really don't 'do' Halloween down here, Java. Our retailers have been trying to encourage the American style holiday for a number of years, so they can sell more sweets, and costumes, and suchlike. Each year, a few kids go door to door 'trick or treating', but not that many. Some folks get into the spirit of it, and I know some schools and church groups have Halloween parties, so that kids can have some fun dressing up. But to others, it's more of a nuisance than anything.

Seasonally, once again, it's all backwards for us. For you guys, it's a Fall festival, with pumpkins and Fall colours, heading into winter. Here, it's (finally) springtime, and an Easter-type festival, celebrating new life and growth, would make far more sense.

Actually, with our largely-European settlement history as our country was founded, it's a wonder we've never had a Samhain or All Hallow's Eve tradition, but we really haven't.

Since it appears that many people who posted here & in their status descriptions were the beneficiaries of java's largesse (i.e. Candy Corn Starter Sets), I chose Laura & danj to send mine to. Haven't been mentioning who I send sets to lately but this week sooooo many people have been generous (already thanked HowdyD & Dom) that I wanted to narrow the field for some of you still seeking to share the kindness.

When trying to find a likely recipient, I realized that a good part of my small Neighborhood had disappeared. That's a disadvantage to my non-trading strategy, alas.

Then again, hopefully, an update might bring them back. In force.

Thanks to snappy+frogstar for the Candy Corn starter, my first-ever set on my new account!:D Let me know if anyone wants it when I'm done.

I'm not against replacing Plus+, I just dislike GC. I've never really used OpenFeint or anything else. It would be cool (though very unlikely) if they made their own "pocket frogs" gaming network.
