Standing in for the ever-generous Lisianne were Heeranc and The AmazingDave. It pays to contribute to the forum! Java was my only taker on the racing game, and unfortunately the Vinaceus can't be won in races. A consolation prize will be on its way soon, Java. Also, I'd been missing the friends messages for several weeks, but they came back with the update. Here's hoping they remain!
Huge thanks to my trading friends as ever, especially dean for the set of maroon sol, Maholah for the Signum (it was NEW!), and to whoever it was that sent me several maroon Biplex (forgot who that was, but still appreciated!). Finished Sol over the weekend, dex is now at 94%, and I'll hit level 38 any time now. Have heard from a reliable source that there's an iOS 6 update coming soon that will include a replacement of Plus (and who'd miss *that*?), and NEW BREEDS. I haven't done any independent research to corroborate that though. Lisianne, have you heard anything through the grapevine? Moving on to Lucus next, so Maholah, if you'd like to try for some in the races, I could use any of the base colours except for glass, black, and aqua.
Haven't heard anything & have no inside ties to NB. Yes, I contributed heavily to their support site but as a volunteer. As such, I was free to compliment or criticize NB when I felt it was appropriate. The last thing they said re PF on that site that I recall was that it would be difficult to update PF because it was written with a program they no longer used. Technology changes in the blink of an eye. Maybe they've found a way around this. I would remind everyone here of the fiasco of people who played version 1.1 of PF & stopped/deleted their program or switched to a newer device. The data of version 1.1 was incompatible with the version of the update *unless* one still had the older version to update. Many people, my friend included, were left in the lurch. Permanently. It was the longest PF thread on the NB Support Forum & the biggest problem with no solution. Personally, I would not be an early adopter even if I were a faithful backer-upper. Anyone with a lot to lose if things go unexpectedly awry would have a lot to gain by letting others do the initial testing for them, IMO.
Congrats, Andi! I'd be happy to race for you -- thanks for letting me know what you'd like. And I so hope that your rumors are correct! Where did you hear that, if one might ask?
Just got back from a wilderness area where there was no cell reception or Internet and got so many gifts, some from new peoples or second accounts I didn't recognize. It will take me a few days to get back. Thanks Snappy, Dean, and everybody.
Update and thanks I'm excited at even the prospect of an update, especially since they haven't updated since five months *before* I started playing. Ever since May or June, I have constantly checked the app store hoping, almost praying, for an update. I guess if it proves true, it'll be time for me to leave ios 4 behind. Many thanks to Maholah, whose gifts have been constantly in my mailbox the past few days. Also thanks to dean288367. Hope everyone has a frogsome week!
Good evening everyone, As some of you have probably noticed I have been gifting frogs again It was really kind of by accident. The STL Cardinals are back in the playoffs and I can't give the baseball game my 100% attention because I get to nervous! Anyway, I was going to go in and check another game and by mistake opened up PF. Well before I could close it the frogs started complaining: - We're bored - We're hungry - We never go anywhere - we want new homes so I decided to make the little guys happy. Checked the thread to see who was posting (playing) and started gifting them out. As always... nothing need in return. I have the dex done and have more coins, stamps and potions then I know what to do with. Enjoy the game and keep posting (you never know when I will need a distraction again).

Lisianne, the source of the rumour is another player who is really close to 100% of dex, but doesn't post on this forum. The word came directly from NB support in response to a query he sent asking about an update for iOS6. No timeframe on when an update could happen - Today? Tomorrow? Next week? Next year? If I learn anything more, I'll post it here. Thank you to dean (request frog and some Lucus, woot!), dom, danjarus, Maholah and dlstar for recent gifts, and to anyone else who's sent wee presents my way. Dlstar, I am good for those breeds, please send them to someone who needs them to fill in their froggydex.

Holy cr*p! That would be massive! Checked twitter feeds this week and there was no mention of a potential update, good spotting! 1181 froggies to go, wonder if I'll get to 100% before the froggydex nearly DOUBLES???
Lisi, Thanks for sharing. That's fantastic news! (And now my apps will all be updated immediately as they pop up as I wait for the magical frogs to appear!) I also wanted to say that I have yet again lost all the friend note/descriptions, so I once more do not know what people are collecting. Please either post or pm me, or accept my usual -- a frog of the same species or higher. (This time I actually saw it die as I was sending out some Glacios. Perhaps it doesn't look forward to snow?)
Wow, that's huge! It would drop me back down to about 30% completion. At least we would be able to gift new frogs to the people that are currently complete though! I'm excited
Have had part of a day to digest the news of the update, whenever it's coming. It'll be humongous. A way of moving the goal posts about as far away from the 100%ers as they were when they were just beginning. On one hand, I don't care too much about that. I never breed for 100% or ever felt I finish the game. Now I am absolutely certain that at 33% (soon to be a fraction of that), I'll never finish but finishing was never my goal. So here are my pros & cons: 1) For those who took 2 years of hard playing to get to strastospheric heights of finishing, if ALL frogs were introduced at once, it might be overwhelming. Same goes for newbies. Or semi-hard-playing middlebes. 2) It will have the effect of a mega-steroid shot in the arm for this thread!! New frogs will draw people here by the gazillions seeking the latest, newest frogs. This thread will be booming again. Not just will newbies come but players who dropped off the radar screen will need to come back to trade & gift. So many things to think about. So exciting! I still encourage you to back up your current PF app (copy it from the the Mobile Ap folder (Libraries-Music-My Music - iTunes-iTunes Media - Mobile applications) & save it in a safe place. Also back up your iDevice however you do it. All in all delightful & welcome news. Let's hope it's not sprinkled with more IAPs unless they are for useful things like an Express Nursery or deleting something from your Inbox if need be. Also hope they'll allow partial stamps for deliveries but that shouldn't be an IAP, just logic. What are others hopes & wishes?
Update I would like them to add an option to use stamps one by one, like potions. I have more than 900 potions but only 400 stamps, because the game allows you to use potions wisely. Even with that I'm nearly jumping for joy at the prospect of almost fifty new breeds (17664 frogs!), especially since I'm probably one of the only ones here who has never seen a PF update. And, I've had to watch communites like PF Wiki fall apart and go down to zero activity. I will watch Twitter (thanks Lisi) and the app store like a frog waiting for a fly.-BW27
My thoughts on an update with new frogs. First - I hope that they do not release them all at once. Not much reason to keep coming back if they are all available at once. Second - Hopefully they will not all be potions frogs. It is much more fun finding a new breed in the pond then just buying them. When the update happens I will be around some to help players when possible but I am no longer a "dexter" and have no plans on becoming one again.
