Hi! Hi everyone, so glad to see there is a thread where people talk about PF & are trading frogs. I'm currently lvl 11, the latest set I'm trying to complete asks for 2 Green Folium Obaros. Sadly I don't have any Obaros & I lack the 25 potions to buy one from the shop. I any of you have one, could you send me one?? My PF name is Fawnzie I can trade frogs back, got : adamantis, africanus, amfactus, cesti, clunicula, crustalli, glacio, lanterna, ligo, lucus, marmorea, maxtus, nasus, nimbilis, ornatus, partiri, pingo (can't breed it yet), puncti, sagitta, serpentis, sol, spinae, stellata, tribus, velatus, viduo, and zebrae. Blast from your past - with message about preserving it OK, guys, I know I already said "Goodbye" & I meant it but when I read that a relative "newbie to this thread" was starting his/her own NEW competing thread , I became highly distressed. Why?!! This original thread contains the wonderful advice proffered by soooo many contributors over the course of the years. It is full of tips, tricks, humor, sadness, wackiness, times we all pulled together, & many, oh so many, milestones; when Dean & Dom finished 100% of their dex we ALL knew it was possible! We all celebrated! When others hit the 5,000 frogs mark we all chimed in with posts of gladness & joy. Their successes were our successes. It made the "impossible" seem suddenly "possible." In other words, this thread reflects the real blood, sweat & tears of PF contributors. It is the most popular thread on TA, bar none. 23,870 posts is more than significant, it's mind-boggling. I'm genuinely concerned that opening a competing thread has the potential to siphon off long-time contributors from this thread & mislead new players into thinking the newer thread has the information, advice, historical perspective & the wonderful, tight-knit PF community zeitgeist. If it were people I hadn't interacted with over the long course of my participation here, I might not have had such a strong reaction. But it DOES involve people I've passed on boatloads of back sets to, interacted with even before they arrived here, & sent too many Weekly Sets to count, unbidden. I've paid my dues many times over because I wanted this thread, this community to thrive. If I were still participating (& I'm not), I'd show my gratitude to BW, short, Giroth, Shasta, Dean, & Dom (just to name a few) by preserving proof of their generosity, their kindness, their wisdom, their wit, their amazing capacity for caring & true dedication. This thread has roots which run deep. If I were here, I'd tend them with the exquisite loving care they so richly deserve - much like Dom is doing. I sincerely apologize for coming back after leaving but my emotions got the better of me. Mea culpa. It is now up to you to take up the mantle if you find my words have merit.
I agree, the PF Trading thread is the best place for PF trading and advice. With Nimblebit closing the GetSatisfaction support site to new posts, that means this trading thread is an even more important resource to continue for current and future players. Hawaiian Shirts Hi Snappy and Everyone, I actually stayed awake to see the new Weekly Set and it is a good one. It's a set of eight very colorful Ornatus entitled "Hawaiian Shirts"! I'll have the Heat Wave set through tomorrow if anyone needs it. Thanks again to Sneeb for the starters and to Jklau, HowdyDody, and Rainbows1986 for even more Heat Wave starters! Pocket Frogs question Can anyone help me? How do you redeem the "Heat Wave" set? I have all my frogs, but of course I can't keep them in the same habitat. They are all adults but two of them are not being "noticed" for a lack of better terminology. Has anyone else had a problem? Thanks!
Thanks Riverdance8 for the Shirt set Thanks Melbarns, Danjarus, javaRich & Snappy for help with emerald and other New frogs from Olive to Black Sorta went a bit set crazy and got all back sets up to Yule 2011 done 79 sets. Has everybody else done that? Gone a bit set crazy I mean?
I have the same problem and cannot figure out how to get those 2 frogs recognised either. Tried switching the frogs in different combos and habitats, but it doesn't work. Would love to hear if anyone has solved this.
Needed Secondaries Hey guys, I am just starting out and having a little trouble getting a few secondaries. I'm obnoxiously methodical, and don't plan on moving up in rarity until I have EVERY anura.. Stupid right? Anyways, if someone could hook me up with a cafea, picea, and chroma I would be much obliged. Honestly I don't care what the rest of the frog is, I'll work with what I'm given. Going set crazy is not crazy at all! It gives you a sense of accomplishment and it's definitely worth all of the stamps and potions you get in return!
Welcome to the forum! There is nothing wrong with having a plan and sticking to it. It will become very valuable, later in your quest to move to greater levels, rewards, and sets, to have all the anuras. My I also suggest that you place your Plus ID in one of the four signature lines, so you do not have to repeat it. It is helpful for us older folks who's memory is fading. Just go to "user CP", you will find signature on the left side. I sent you your requested frogs. Enjoy!
I have also completed all the sets, as JavaRich said, it is worth all the stamps and potions. You will need them. Please place your plus ID in your signature. It is helpful.
