Something to do JavaRich made a post today that got me thinking (a dangerous thing). Does everyone have a "special" frog? 1) The last frog that finished your first 100% breed? 2) Your first frog received as a gift? 3) Your 5,000th frog? 4) Your 10,000th frog? or maybe the 19,504th frog? Just some examples. Well, for me it is my 15,824th frog. It was the first time I finished the froggydex and it was a Black Bruna Floresco. Not the prettiest frog but it was beautifiul to me So, what is your special frog?
So far for me it's that little nipper Emerald Caelus Glacio which as you know was my 50% dex frog. I even bred an Emerald Caelus Veru and Magus as commerative frogs. I guess my next big one is my 10,000th, which is soon coming up.
My special frog is a Red Tingo Insero. She was my first Insero, My first gift, and she's very pretty!
Thanks! Also, Thanks dean288367 for the Gyrus'! And Danjarus, It's hard to explain whats going on in my habitat's! Awhile ago, I gifted a lot of rare frogs a bought with potions. Then a few weeks later, I was filled with level 11, 12, 13, 14, and even 15 frogs! Then I went to date & time and clicked my year to be 2037. So, whenever I want to check my gifts, I change my date to 2012, get the gifts, then change back again! Weird right?
Congrats to zTurinoz on making level 3 I am sending you the 3 "potion" frogs for this level, Lantera, Glacio and Tribus. You will want to accept these in your mailbox because the only way to get them is to have them gifted or buy them for 25 potions each in the frogmart. After they are in your habitat and tamed you should put them in your catalog. You can buy frogs from your catalog or froggydex but the catalog is alot cheaper. After they are in your catalog, do what you want with them (sell or keep). Keep on breeding and have fun.
Breed/breed is the way I dex also. I get a large pool of the breed's frogs, say 3 of each primary color and 4 of each secondary for a total of 8 habs. I then do breed/breed choosing, if I can, 2 frogs whose 2 "inner" frogs of the possible outcomes I don't have. That way for each breeding attempt I have a 50% chance of getting a frog I don't have. In other words, if I'm trying to get a Maroon Tingo, I'll try to get a breeding pair such as Maroon Carota x Red Tingo where I need both Maroon Tingo and Red Carota. As a last resort I'll breed against an Anura. I agree with dean that the expected coin cost for an undexed frog is the same in breed/breed as in breed/Anura.

@ dean, re: special frogs: the first gift frog I ever received was an azure Albeo Glacio. I'd gone looking for trading friends on the net after discovering the existence of those and the Tribus. Eventually, I landed here, and I'm so glad I did. When I get to 19,504, that froggie will be extra special, too...

Well I can't really remember any of them in full detail, although I do know that I 'dexed Anura's first, so it probably would have been a glass anura that finished my first 100% breed. I do know that my first gift received was a Bulla, and I'm fairly certain it was probably from Dom, as Dom is on the bottom of my friends list (really, a list where the newest are at the top and the oldest are at the bottom??!) I came here looking for it specifically because it was the only frog I didn't have and I needed it for a weekly set. I have no idea what my 5000th frog was as I think I was nearly 100 past it when I realised! Thank you to everyone who keeps sending me beautiful froggies, I am keeping my screenshot list but have yet to transcribe it. Just know that I am always grateful!
