Now I know! The Obaro frog always seemed a bit, you know, odd to me. Weird pattern, no rhyme or reason. Until this week's set! Now I know why it was (OK, may have been) created - for Valentine's Day. Anyway, a huge thanks to Elektra for sending me the Sweetheart Starter Set! Since I had already bred one of each of the Obaros for the set myself, the Starter Set will be ready to be forwarded tomorrow at about this time when my hatchlings are fully grown & set redeemed. The other half of the set will be sent to a non-forum friend. p.s.: But Elektra is not the only generous one here. Oh, no. Good Morning, Frog Aficionados! A question for those who breed by species: How do you DO that?! I'm trying to make that switch, having bred by color & via races thus far. I made the switch and have gotten through the Ludos, but I only lacked three colors there. Now I'm ready to move on to the Roboris family, but I'm not sure how to set up my habitats. My current setup has worked quite well for breeding by color, but I'm not sure it's optimal for species breeding. If anyone's currently doing species breeding, please let me know so I can take a look and see how you're set up. Basically, it seems that breeding by species creates a lot more "extra" frogs than does breeding by color, and I'm wondering how to do that without either slowing the game incredibly while waiting for frogs to grow or going broke. Thanks for any help--and to anyone who read this whole post! ;-) And thanks also to those who have gifted frogs recently. I'm without my notebook at the moment and will post specific thanks later--but I couldn't just not say thank you. You awesome people know who you are!
How do You Do That?! Good Morning Maholah, I started off with a full color palette of Anura. It contained all primary and secondary colors, 23 frogs within three habitats. I would run another species, say Velatus, through the color palette from beginning to end like a car through a car wash until the Anura were completely replaced with Velatus. When Dean288367 did the Bovis for everyone I dropped the color palette and duplicated Dean288367's method, I liked the display of the different color variations of Bovis. Basically that's my method now. I try to keep my first three or four habitats for weekly sets and breeding. I follow the FroggyDex in order, color by color. I breed one species at a time with Anura ordered from the FroggyDex as needed with the breeding frogs somewhere underneath the "display" habitats. And I check the FroggyDex for the target frog after a breeding attempt to save on space taken up by extra frogs and/or duplicates. It seems like this method takes longer but it helps me keep track of where I'm at in the dexing process and which frogs I send out to others. It also accomodates my tendency to hold onto certain frogs! I do miss the color palette since there was no need to order breeding frogs from the FroggyDex. A few possibly helpful posts by Quossum, Nirtew and LauraFitz4 are below. On its way! Starter Set wending its way to Dom. Feeling bad about sending the second set to a non-forum friend, I bred another Sweetheart Starter Set which will be ready to send, subtracting time for pond taming/pond hopping, in a bit less than 1d 18h, or Sunday late afternoon, early evening. Would be received Monday &, with breeding, could be done by Wednesday before release of next set. Yeah, I know, it's not perfect. For one thing you've got tri color helmets on the Jets, Cowboys, Packers, and 49ers. Which color I used was random. Glass is supposed to be silver, so White Muscus are the Jets, Glass Caelus the Cowboys, Black Piceea the Falcons, Golden Albeo the Packers, Beige Tingo the 49ers, and Glass Albeo the Patriots.

My Frog Shop Hello everyone.. So someone had the idea to post our "frog shops" and here is what I can offer. I have every color anura as well as every combination of albeo anura with their secondary color and I would be willing to clone and trade. I REALLY need a dextera since they seem to be an event frog and will take any color combination. I would also be open to any other event frogs I might have missed as well. Hello Maholah, I think I do this similar to how JavaRich explained it. I have every color of anura as well as every color albeo anura with their secondary color. I go through each breed and breed them against each of the primary and secondary anura. I also keep an albeo of each breed so that breeding for sets and awards is easier. I keep all of these sets in 8 habitats and use the other habitats for my growing frogs. I do not know if you were willing to purchase the baby proof kit, but this is a fabulous tool and worth the 4.99 if you play a lot. I like being able to have two habitats to move my eggs to so I can keep breeding as needed. Hope this helps!!

Your welcome. Dextera is only available in the frogmart for 25 potions. There are other "potion frogs" so check the frogmart. If u need anything just ask.
