Can't get new set? Finished Hypnofrogs and now get error message. " there was an error retrieing new set". Any ideas? Wysky
Hypnofrogs was the very first set so it appears you finished all of them, Wysky -congrats! That error message should have read that a new set would be released midnight on Wednesday but there was a glitch in the coding which will be corrected at the next update. Really impressed when I saw it today, however. I gave a full commentary & some kudos to NB on their support site for handling this matter in such a gracious, humorous, & creative fashion. I also said what I genuinely believe that if one likes a free game & wants updates & perhaps other great games, it's appropriate to support the dev(s), if only with simple purchase. Contrary to popular opinion, they do need food, a place to sleep, etc. & contributions are what stands between them & being gobbled up by a rapacious company like Zynga. p.s.: Many thanks to all those who sent me froggies - you're just enabling me, you know! Lisianne, thanks for the info. I have been madly making set after set. I went on the website you listed and sure enough...I have done them all! I guess I will now start building out breeds...only completed Anuras to get the Award...Wish there were more awards too! I take it you work for/with/own Nimblebit? Brilliant Game, Beautiful Graphics, Nice animation touches here and there. I would suggest the express mailbox, for a one time purchase it cuts all your mailbox wait times in half forever! It was suggested to me by the members here, and I'm really glad I got it. Also, I always seem to gift myself out of stamps, so to counteract that, I decline the request frogs that are for money or potions, and just fulfill requests that reward stamps. If you're having trouble with a request frog, post it in your plus+ messsage status, and one of us can help you with it! Many of the generous grifters here have sent me request frogs when I've been in need of help.
Faith in the cloud queue In Week 2 of waiting for Glass Viduo to reappear from the cloud, thank you dean288367 and SnappyMcFrog! At first there were a couple of Mailbox announcements of newly arrived Glass Viduo from SnappyMcFrog and dean288367 right at the time of #5000. Then a couple more announcements of Glass Viduo from dean288367 but my MB(Express) was full and I thought they were lost forever. Not wanting to be presumptuous or assume too much (think "Odd Couple" and Felix's breakdown of the word assume ), yet having an understanding of dean288367's level of generosity, I couldn't help but wonder where are the remaining Glass Viduo? Sure enough, a week later the Glass Viduo started popping up again as space in my MB allowed. This gives me a renewed faith in the cloud queue to eventually deliver all!
As if! No, I neither own nor work for nor represent NB tho' I do spend a good deal of my time on their support site helping people - it makes me feel good/useful. The question you asked about set error was one many have had before on the NB site. And, like you, I feel PF is a creatively designed, beautifully implemented game with features for even non-gamers such as myself. And the animation of the frogs hopping & the tiny waves of concentric waves emanating from the lily pad after a frog lands on it - magnificent. Plus the sound effects. Plus the element of surprise in the presents. Plus, plus, I could go on & on. Just an overall great game. I posted the link about the other NB game, Tiny Tower, because I generally root for the underdog & boy is NB ever the underdog compared to Zynga. I also DO feel that people who enjoy a free game should cough up a few bucks to support its devs. If I worked for them or represented them in any way, I would be unable to speak my mind & I do like to speak my mind! Are you hijacking my brain, Laura?! I swear those are exactly the suggestions I would have given (Express MB, only request frogs for stamps) in the order I would have given them. The more one trades, the greater the need for stamps. Haven't been lurking here much the past few days, as I got distracted by the Order of the Stick Reprint Drive over at Kickstarter. But thanks (again!) to everyone I have received gifts from, I will be sending out more froggies this evening. thanks Lisianne and LauraFitz...I used to have more stamps than potions...now that I have discovered the forum and tidying, I am always low on stamps! I do have the Express mailbox, but even so, sometimes can't wait 2 days for a high level frog to be delivered. Good idea on the Request frogs for stamps. cheers, Wysky
Well I finished Mixtus this morning and am starting on Serpentis now Thanks to everyone who has sent me frogs recently, I've been getting some very pretty ones. I still have last weeks set if anyone needs it - I've been racing the frogs and getting quite a few new frogs from them. Hi gang! I haven't been around lately due to work and school but you've all been kind enough to send froggies anyway which really made me smile. Especially javarich who sent two or three sets - wow. Looks like you got your iPad back, at least for a night - unless you got an early release of the iPad 3. Signum frog I have been waiting for the signum frog to pop up on the frog ofthe day for weeks now and can't seem to get one. I need it to complete the deep freeze set. I am going crazy trying to find out other ways to get one then I found this site. I would b willing to send 2 or 3 of the same value of frogs for one signum if anyone could I could send more if I need to I'm getting desperate lol.
