Are you looking for any particular breeds at the moment? Often I send frogs randomly, but I would like to know if there is a breed you don't have yet or one on which you are concentrating.

BTW: Anyone else notice an iAd in PF for Twitter with a 10 Potion reward? I'm not on Twitter, so I declined it.

    Hello from Texas

    HELLO fellow Frog lovers!

I am currently a level 12 trying to get the current weekly set of Pure Gold. Because I'm still not "up there" i'm having difficulty getting the higher level frogs like the Pingo, Ocularis, and Corona.

I have been focusing on achieving 100% on Anura, Crustalli, Veatus, and Clunicula but i'm refocusing on the weekly sets ( at least for now). Any help would be greatly appreciated for higher level frogs until I get there. I'm also working on leveling up by working on the awards. Just started this game a few months ago and I'm sooooo addicted.

I would love to have some PF friends so please "would you be my neighbor?" TYIA

You didnt have to deny it since it gave it you just by accepting to go to twitter. I didn't log in to mine and it still gave me the potions.

Welcome to the TA Pocket Frogs Forum!

Whoops! I did not realize it would work w/o a Twitter account. Thanks for the advice, I must remember that if another one pops up. There were months when I didn't see any iAds on PF on iOS 3.x and when I updated to a newer device, I started seeing them again. I don't have any of the "Pure Gold" Frogs set left, but will send you a different welcome gift. To level up faster, you may want to try breeding the two highest level frogs you have until you can access the other breeds. You could still work on the awards and sets, too. I completed the awards first also (save the Froggydexter 4 one, still working on it!)

Thanks to Maholah for the Olive Biplex and Black Magus,
    InBoots for the Pink Pingo,
    Nirtew for the Purple Veru,
Javarich for my Yellow Ocularis request frog! :),
    Danjarus for the Tangelo Veru,
    Lisi for the Aqua Veru,
    Gracesqx for the Azure Spinae,
    Jklau for the Cocos Gyrus,
    Zeady for the Cocos Vinaceus,
Dean for the Beige Tribus and Blue Velatus,
    Malbarnes for the Maroon Veru!
and to anyone else who sent me gifts.

Veru update; I have completed: Red, Orange, Green, Emerald, Azure, Blue, Pink, Violet, White, Cocos, Black and Glass

A good day to all! :)

Just stopping by to say "Hi" and "Thanks for all the frogs".

I've been active in PF, but not on the forums.

Also... I know it's a bit late... but there was a discussion a couple of pages back on how to level-up the fastest, and it was suggested (and somewhat agreed upon) that spending lots of time in the pond was key.

I'm going to have to disagree with that a bit. In my experience, you get the largest and fastest boost in experience from breeding. So if you want to level up the fastest way possible, just breed your most expensive frogs over and over. Spend as little time as needed in the pond just to tame the breeders you need. Even throwing away immature frogs is fine if your goal is simply experience points.

Now, that's not the best way to be a trader, not the best way to accumulate coins, and probably isn't the most fun way to play, nor the best way to get awards and sets... but it's my opinion on how to level up the fastest.

    Hmmm, Douglas Adams fan? :D

Nice to see some new traders on the board. Welcome to our world.

Few new Plus followers too, that I don't recognise from here. A Pocket Frogs renaissance? :)

Weird coincidence both these posts in a row (considering the second one was not a reply to the first).

And yes. The answer to life, the universe, and everything is: 42.

Yes, welcome to Gobcakes, Zmac, TinaK, et al to the finest place for PF fans anywhere.

As for a renaissance, any friend of PF is a friend of ours. :) The more the merrier.

Then, Snappy, an even more belated congratulations on reaching level 27! All the odd levels give the enticing possibility of increasing the maximum number of stamps & potions found in the pond, so enjoy! I've seen fewer & fewer lately, maybe it's PF's way of saying I'm not playing enough (a PondBook equivalent to TT's Bitbook).

This may seem heretical but I absolutely agree with DeanK that trading is essentially antithetical to leveling up. Trading takes time, stamps, sometimes potions, & most importantly takes away frogs that could be sold to buy more frogs & at the same time make room for those new frogs. Pond-hopping seems like a catch-as-catch-can substitute for you never know what you'll get. Trading can be just as iffy plus, if you're gracious, you reciprocate in kind (or value), if possible, so those are frogs which are bred/gifted but can't be sold.

Those who have remained since virtually the start of this thread clearly seem to have varied motivations. I'd like to believe that what keeps them here, besides trading, is what keeps me here.

    On that note, I'm leaving.

OK, not today but 4 a.m. on Thursday. OK, OK, not permanently. It's a long postponed vacation. Be gone for about 9 days. I'm mentioning this because I'm asking you to refrain from gifting during that time if possible for my WiFi, when available, will be shared with my husband & my time to play PF will be more limited than it is now. If I come home to a MB overflowing to bursting with frogs I'd be overwhelmed. During vacation, I won't be writing an novels or novellas to this forum either. No, not even a short story. Live with it! ;)

If someone sends a Weekly Set, I might *not* be able to pass it on so send it to someone who definitely WILL; this forum works because people share & I might not be sharing. I'll simply make up the set when I return.

p.s.: Thanks for the wonderful froggies to Nirtew for the White & Aqua & Tangelo Magus, Dom for the Emerald Nimblis, dlstar for the Golden Dextera, Andi for the Beige Sagitta, Snapppy for the Royal Pingo & Elektra for the Glass & Orange Obaro.

    Sets

On several occasions during the past week I've caught myself going to the weekly sets to find this No Active Set screen...old habits!

I wanted to thank a Pocket Frog player named HowdyDody for sending me the starters for "Hypnofrog" which was my last set to complete, and the first set of the game!

Thanks to shortbus123 and WalterCZ for "Pandamonium", and looking forward to the new set coming out Thursday AM.

Nirtew I also like your idea of "Who's Who", there are many possibilities to get people guessing! :)

    Thanks

Hello Snappy - I am just splitting my time between previous weekly sets and froggydex, which is @ 11%, so random frogs are most welcome.

To paraphrase Monty Python, "every frog is sacred" ;)

And thank you java, AndiNZ, laura, and Snappyfor the froggy gifts!

It would be fair to call Laura the "Golden Girl," having received three sets of Pure Gold. It would also be fair to say that LauraFitz in quite well with this community, as her numerous trading partners (myself included) can attest.

From the day you set a virtual foot in this community you took off running, Laura. Thanks for being such wonderful member.

Multiple sets brings up a question which has been bothering me since I received multiple (not this many, tho') sets one week. What's the protocol or consensus? Do you receive them all then gift them all? Do you receive just one, especially if the set is composed of 8 slow-arriving frogs?

p.s.: More thanks for some super, special froggies: Nirtew for the White Magus, laura for the Olive Orbis & Emerald Pingo, Andi for the 2 White Sagitta, Dom for the Orange Viduo & Elektra for the Blue, the two Orange, & two Royal Dextera.

Lately, I try to gift an extra set if received. Though, if the set is more difficult, I may only send a set to one person. Sometimes I will breed a second set from the first one and gift it. With the MB, the frogs will come in at different times and I will breed the missing frogs if it seems the rest of the set is detained in Plus+. I usually check to see if the set frogs are present or not before sending them to someone. I'm not sure how others handle multiple sets, though.

Thanks to Andi for the White Ocularis and Black Viduo,
    Zeady for the Black Calvaria,
    Danjarus for the Azure Veru,
    Malbarnes for the Royal Veru,
Dentonmatthew for the Tangelo set: Bulbus, Signum, Trivium, Gyrus!,

    Gracesqx for the Beige Nimibilis,

and anyone else who sent gifts!

A good evening to everyone. :)
