    Wow.

A couple of days ago (back in the time before the stomach virus that ate part of my week), I'd posted that I'd finished the glass and was now starting to breed maroon frogs. I said people could let me know if they were working on a specific breed, and I'd send some.

    And what happened?

No one took me up on that offer. But Andi the Awesome immediately started sending me the Maroon Persona. And The Arithmetically-Inclined Dean sent me the Maroon Mixtus wheel, as well as several starter frogs in maroon for other species. Thank you so much!!

Many thanks are also in order to Domenic, Laura, Snappy, Quossm, DeanKeith, Nirtew, Khasahara and Jklau. I appreciate all the frogs -- thank you! :-D

(Because of being sick, I'm a little behind on sending out frogs, but I'm working on it!)

Many, many thanks as ever to my froggy friends for the many gifts, particularly to Dom for the parade of Orbis, and to Dean for my reward frog (which I thought I'd accidentally sold last night, but no - whew!). :)

Work has been really busy the last few days, and I too have been a little slower than usual at gifting as a result.

Maholah, I hope you are feeling heaps better! :)

Can anyone spare a gyrus for the week 49 set? Any color combo will do, I just need a base frog to breed!

I can kick back any frog I have!

I have lost my friend list again after adding someone.

If you need urgent frogs then please send me a note or frogs so I can add you back before Plus+ do.

Thanks for the frog! I will kick one back as soon as my phone charges!!!

My friends list does that too from time to time ... most of the time, it magically reappears after a few hours (or a few days) ... I have no idea what's up with it. Gotta be a + thing.

On a completely unrelated (and unashamedly extremely geeky) note, the reason that I was so late this time in posting my thanks, is because I wanted to see if the pond presents really were as streaky as some of us noticed. I’ve been recording all the presents that I’ve gotten (including daily gifts) over the past week or so, and running statistics on them.

Here’s a summary so far after 177 presents (I plan to go up to 1,000 for statistical significance):

40.11% of the time I got a present of coins (and 6.8% of the time it was the max coin present, which is based on the user’s level; for example at level 21 it is 1,100 coins), The average amount of coins including the max coin presents is 409.3 coins, but if you take out the max coin presents, it drops to 280.6 coins. The minimum I got was 5 coins, and the max was 1,100 (I am level 21 now).

23.2% of the time I got a froggie present, with an average level of 10.7 (I got a lot of level 16 frogs!), I did get an Anura once, and plenty of Magus and Veru, so it seems possible to get all frog levels (once you hit 16 of course).

22.6% of the time, the present was some form of habitat décor. Of that 22.6%, 14.1% of it was for habitat décor backgrounds only. The other 8.5% was various decoration pieces.

7.9% of the time, I got stamps. The minimum was 2 stamps, and maximum was 11 (this may scale by user level though; I have yet to confirm that), and the average stamp amount was 7.6.

6.2% of the time, I got potions. Again, the minimum so far was 2 potions, and maximum was 11 (again, it may scale to user level; unconfirmed), and the average potion amount was 6.5.

As far as how streaky the presents are: I do see some trends, but so far they are just qualitative. At one point, 3 of 4 presents in a row were potions… then I had a streak where I didn’t get any potions until 44 presents later. Frog presents seem streaky too (which tend to fill up the mailbox at first, and then can’t be accepted), there were occasions where 5 of 7 presents in a row were frogs, or 4 of 8 in a row, with long breaks afterward of froggie drought.

OK, one long geeky post later, and I apologize for wasting your time! I just couldn’t let the theory go completely untested! I can update once I get to the 1,000 if anyone is even interested (besides me, obviously!).

Haha Laura, that's fantastic. :D I was sorely tempted to keep track but my time was eaten up by a chemistry final this week (and soon to be another). I can roughly estimate that in terms of frequency, the presents I find are coins, frogs, scenery/habitats, potions, then stamps. The stamps don't come often but when they do it's something weird like three or four consecutive bundles. But this obviously isn't tested data, just my hours of mindless procrastination in the pond this week. ;)

    Hi Laura

To confirm your suspicion, yes, stamp and potion gifts also scale with level. I'm level 31 at the moment, and max. coins are at 1,600, stamps and potions up to 16 at a time. This increases when you reach the odd-numbered levels - max is half your level, but it (rather generously) rounds up. :)

Shortbus, have I really only sent you 1 frog recently??? I knew I'd been a lot slower than usual, but that's ridiculous! :(

If anyone still has one of this week's sets floating about, I'd be glad to give it a home. :)

I'm still busy catching up with gifts--as soon as my mailbox empties, more frogs jump in. What a very generous group we have here!
