I still have another starter set if anyone needs it too.

And Lisi - I thought everyone hated the French? ;-)

Right now I am sitting on my bed posting via my phone as thunders cracks and rolls around for the second time today. Everything is turned off and unplugged until it goes away :) I love thunder, all that rumbling and grumbling sends a thrill up my spine.

    Obs.
(And now the 3G has dropped out so I will have to wait to post this anyway!)

@lisianne: I'm definitely happy to help anyone! At my level I'm not sure I can do much yet but I'll keep an eye out. :)

@dlstar THANK YOU! I really, really appreciate this! :) This game got addicting fast but I kind of love this whole helping each other out concept. I had no idea this place existed.

Thank you both! I'll be back to check on requests I might be able to fulfill. Is there a quick way to check who already has what in their Froggydex? I don't want to bombard people with frogs others would want more. :)

I can't even open the apps on iOS 5.0. Please think twice before you upgrade :( Trying to resolve the problem. Has anyone got the same problem?

Well, there is a certain fondness for frog's legs???

But, in purely rugby terms, is beating us in the RWC final in 1999, and even worse, having them knock us out of the quarterfinals in 2007 (our worst result ever) after the ref failed to notice a blatant forward pass. The name 'Wayne Barnes' has become a curseword here since... Yes, these things happen in sport, but France have been something of a 'hoodoo' for us the past few years. That bad mojo was lifted in the pool stages, and if the ABs play in the final the way they did last night, we have nothing to worry about. Though we'll fret for the next several days anyway, we take our national game so seriously. Maybe a bit too seriously, but c'est la vie! :)

I have been to Paris, actually, and it was a huge highlight of that trip. It was beautiful, and I loved it. It's only their rugby team I have issues with... :p

Thanks again to my trading friends for the endless onslaught of frogs.

@ Dean: What's with the multiple Blue Tingo Partiri? A Frenchie invasion??? Thanks, anyway. I think.... :)

Hey guys, thanks heaps for all the gifts today. I didn't get time to get names, as I was in a rush and only had the option of wifi for about 2 minutes, but I do know that SnappyMcFrog, lisianne, andinz, and i think jklau were in there. I'm sorry to anyone I missed, and I will be sending out some gifts soon (just waiting to mature). Also, lisianne, you have by far the most interesting (no offense everyone) posts on this forum. I love to see a bit of humor, and often try (and often fail dismally) to show some myself

P.s lisianne, I have absolutely no problem with the name ossim, and if it's more convenient, I'm happy fo you to call me whatever you choose. This gos for anyone (as long as I know who your reffering to).

P.p.s if you want, you can call me Ossining. It comes up on my spell checker when I type ossi. Does anyone know what that means?

Got it working. The trick (Not really) is to sync with itune and it will work. But I believe for some reason itune will need to communicate with servers before it sync with the phone for the first time and since I am behind an office LAN so I think the process hold up and I can't sync. Unplugged the cable and it works!

Thanks for that. It seems like a strange thing to put into the spell checker, but ok.

Maybe that's the closest word with that particular letter pattern.

Ossining, New York is the name of the town formally named Sing Sing. The town changed it's name so as not to be associated with the prison of the same name located in the town. The prison was mentioned constantly in gangster movies of the thirties. Ossining is located north of NYC on the Hudson River, and the term "up the river" meant being sent to Sing Sing.
    Lots more trivia tomorrow.

Good work Nirtew. You should be one of the editor for wiki if you aren't already one. Maybe you can host some trivia for PF here.

    Somewhere else
    Aaaaaack! & Oher Stuff

Not that this hasn't been the most trying set yet to finish with all sorts of false starts, discarded eggs (oops! not a very right-to-life, PC statement) until finally Dom took pity on me & sent a Starter Set. My cluttered MB allowed them in in bits & snatches so I bred them at intervals - very slow going. Finally, yesterday, I saw they'd be ready this morning so I promised a Starter Set to InBoots. Well, bright & early this morning I sent that set, as promised.

Oh, no! Did I redeem the set before sending half away? Uh, no. OMG, I hate Triviums! They are ugly, slimy, two-bit, duplicitous SOFs!

But don't mail me any more! Please no! My malbx is so full it's straining at the seams (it already lost a letter or two) & so I just interbred the nasty creatures AGAIN. Maybe I'll remember to redeem them Wednesday or t'morrow if I shoot 'em up with toxic steroidal potions.

First, NO STARTER SET!!!! Second, everyone hates the French? I don't think so. Without French, there'd be no French toast & no French fries. The haunting, heart-breaking songs of Edith Piaf would never have been sung. The City of Lights would never have brightened the trips of millions of travelers. Without the expressions like déjà vu we'd be stumbling along verbally trying to explain why some sensation was weirdly familiar. And how could the world have functioned without the glacially slow, deliberate & sleep-inducing enunciation of the former French President Jacques Chirac? Seriously. And this is where you reply, "Touché!," Monsieur Obs; do remember to "R.S.V.P." ;)

BTW, I adore thunder & lightning. Used to open curtains, pull up my blinds, as a kid just to watch the sky show. Still love it as an adult but also realize it's not just victimless magic.

Ossim it is, then. I'm trying to shorten my words rather than the lifespan of my keyboard & fingers. BTW, your words à propos ("Touché" again, "n'est-ce pas?") of my writing style were really exceptionally kind but I believe that everyone has the ability to throw in a snippet of humor or a dash of the unexpected. Check out Quo's or Snappy's posts, for example. Go back in time & read some of Shasta's old messages. Lots of examples.

What, I have to say it again?! No more Trivium! Not up the river, not up the pond, or you'll be up the creek.

p.s.: I'll rub it in some more, dlstar, & say "Merci beaucoup" to my ongoing, generous gifters: jklau (you sent a Tr***um but I forgive you), Shasta, Snappy, Nirtew, Quo, dlstar, & Andi. I've done my reciprocating but my MB can only work at Express MB speeds.

Pls forgive my ignorance. I was so annoyed with my iOS 5 uPgrade and sending frogs right away after I got it finished. Anyway, I sent you a Gryus instead. What else don't you like? I guess you don't like Mercade Benz which the logo looks like the Tr@&$m ..

You forgot to mention about French Kiss...

Oh Lisi. If you have a chance, have a look at Shortbus123's arsenal. There are over 60 Tr&&@$m in his factory for this weekly set. I think it might scare you a bit.:D

Got to read the posts more carefully, didn't see you'd already answerered. Sorry.
It's not quite PF trivia, but how about the Surinam Toad, whose babies hatch from pockets in the mother's back?
