    FYI

I was just checking out the Nimblebit Support Site and notice that the following question was asked.... Why does the plus+ level not match my Pocket Frog level ?

To the new members of our thread, please remember that Plus+ is used by many different games and that your level on Plus+ is based on this factor and not just your PF game. Do not worry if the 2 do not match, it would be like comparing apples to oranges.

Nice. And because I looked up 'football scoring 101' or some such last week, I kinda understood your 'safety' comment! I feel so worldly! :D

Rugby scoring is so much easier: 5 points for a 'try' (similar to a touchdown, kinda...), 2 points for a conversion (which is attempted only after a try), 3 for a penalty kick or a drop goal. And that's it. :)

Adding javarich to my friends list, because I love your username! Welcome.

Can't Resist - lousy strategy for a gamer

In my 12 Step PF Detox Program, I know that if a frog is not New, I should decline it. But, honestly, I simply can't say no. It arrives in my Express MB in half the time it would take to breed & taming it gives me a huge advantage over, say, accepting a Sagitta which takes the same amount of time. The high value frogs are worth many more XP & it takes soooo long to get to each successive level.

As I told my PF Detox Coach, I'm fixated on finding stamps in the pond & the next level will potentially garner me 15 at a pop but it's still light years away, even counting "leap-frog years." Virtually all my stamps, however, come from Requests & Sets because I rarely find them in the pond (0 today, 5 yesterday) but the lure is the "potential high" from a stamp gift. He told me my addiction to stamps has me coming unglued, to hop to it, grow a spine, refuse the unNew frogs & be a true gamer.

And so, my anonymous, virtual friends, I admit to you my fatal gaming flaw (OK, OK, one of my fatal gaming flaws).

On that note, let me thank you people here who have been unwittingly feeding my addiction since this morning. Many, many thanks to: Shasta for the Veru, Snappy for the Calvaria, & Nirtew for the Signum.

I answered this question but not nearly as completely as you did here. In fact, when I asked here many moons ago, it was probably you who answered. Don't recall. Bottom line, your experience could be invaluable at that site.

    Something to think about.

Thanks to Dean for a lanterna and several nice Veru frogs. Thanks also to Nirtew for the cool Bulbus and Veru frogs, and to Lisi for a new Azure Chroma Calvaria, Maholah for the Signum, Andi for the Nasus frogs :), and Dentonmatthew for the Pingo and Biplex. Thank you also to anyone I may have not mentioned. :)

    A good evening to all,

    I am impressed.

Football scoring: Touchdown 6 points and then the extra point (which is a kick) makes it 7 points. The kick is "almost" a guarantee. But if the game is close you can go for the 2 point conversion which is a run or pass into the endzone which is then a total of 8 points.
A fieldgoal is 3 points (a kick) and happens when a team does not think it can get in the end zone on the 4th down.
Of course there is the safety which is worth 2 points and it is when you tackle the other team in their own end zone. This is rare but does happen as in today's game.:D

    Hello AndiNZ1970,

Thank you for the welcome message and the Nasusx2 (Nasi?)! "Java" is the beverage I enjoy most, and here in Miami the "cortadito" is very popular.

    Thanks again:), Richard

    Hi Lisianne

Thanks for the welcome and the gifts! I'll definitely pay it forward when I can, that's part of the fun! I'm not much into Football either but I wanted to see the 49ers win this one.

Still getting used to the way the forum works (Quote, M/Quote, Q/Reply), so my posts may be a little out of sorts.

Old or new circumstances you are still very helpful...thank you :)

    Hi Quossum

Thank you for the gifts..at one point I had one coin left (photo attached) which was a bit distressing!

Thanks for the welcome, I am happy to be here! Good luck with the Magus.

    Hello dean288367

The Fantasy Froggie Football is a great idea, I hope it catches on. It will give me the opportunity to pick winners based on more than their colors! I did live in San Francisco for a couple of years though, so it was an easy pick for me.

I received the winnings and welcome gift, thank you!

    Richard

    Good evening everyone.
I will be out of town for a few days and not sure what my schedule will be like. Probably will not have much time for PF. Will spend the evening getting ready and taming a few frogs for gifting before I leave. I hope everyone needs Floresco. Have a good week and profitable breeding and hopping.

OK, OK, Quo, you've made me somehow *want* to race - how weird is that? Moi, branching out beyond, well, the normal? What is Speedy Chocolate made of so I can breed him/her myself? Will breed the Magus myself 'cause I know what s/he's made of.

p.s.: Huge thanks today to my many PF Dealers (ya know what I mean - this game is beyond addictive & I'm hooked, lined, & sinkered [or is that "sunk"?]): Andi for the Nasus, Dom for the Roboris, dlstar for both a Sol & a Veru, Nirtew for a Signum, Shasta for a Vinaceus & a Magus, & Snappy for a Veru (I sent you a Veru back, are you still collecting?) I'm very sloppy usually about gifting, I do but I don't regularly check preference status. Sorry. Chalk it up to terminal inertia (AKA inveterate laziness).
p.p.s.: If there's someone I haven't thanked, it's because my MB is full so I'm not getting any more notifications.

Speedy Chocolate is a Cocos Picea Magus. And I totally misspoke--the Twins are Maroon Aurum Verus, not Magus. All very good racing frogs.

The challenge is having enough room in the MB to claim the winnings!

Reached level 24 last night with breeding some Signums. :)
I am still collecting Verus, Lisi. Thank you!

Wishing a belated welcome to Javarich!

Thanks to Dean for four cool Veru frogs and to Dom for the Vinaceus.
Thanks also to Nirtew for the White Ceres Bulbus and Veru frogs, Danjarus for the Golden Veru, Lisi for a Red Veru, Shasta for the Vinaceus, Maholah for the Magus, Andi for the Pingo and Nasus frogs, dlstar for the Sol and Bulla, and Milow8740 for the Yellow Veru. Thanks also to anyone I may have left out.

    A nice evening to everyone,

I haven't posted here in over a week, and yet I keep getting gifts daily from many of you... so thank you to everyone. I try to reciprocate what I can, but I'm currently 'dexing Tribus, so most of you high-levelers prolly already have 100% of them.

But if anyone wants a few random Tribus frogs, just let me know... I am breeding at least 60 a day. heh

    The RWC - Yes, again!

Sorry Nirtew, it's not going to be a USA-All Blacks final this time after all. The Eagles got beaten 22-10 by Italy tonight in their final pool game. Maybe in 2015?

Many, many thanks to all my trading friends for all the wonderful froggie gifts that have landed in my mailbox recently, I appreciate every one.

I've had a bit more time than I expected to check in here the last couple of weeks, but over the next 5 or 6 days, I really will be out of the loop. Hopefully I will get a chance to check in for froggie football this week, but Dean, if not, then please put me down for the home team by 5 points. :)

I'll send gifts out as/when I can, and normal programming should resume, barring disasters, in a week at most.

Thanks again for all the gifts, everyone!
