I'm sure I am going to miss a few people as I have a packed mailbox and some of the generous gifts can't even be delivered yet. Aw, Andi, you didn't have to send me all your frogs just 'cause I sent you 8 of your favorite frogs.... (Andi loves, loves, loves Glass Ceres Nasus, so if anyone's got some to pass along....) Bellacoconut, thanks for the inseros, danjarus for the magus, Dean288367 for the 2 Magus, MiaWillow for the Pingo, Lisianne, the Floresco, Maholah gifted a Signum and a Bulbus, Snappy sent along a Ocularis. Many of these frogs I didn't have so I'm a happy frogger today. For all who sent frogs to jobberknoll, who hasn't played in a couple of days, thank you in her name: Ashpupp for the vinaceus and signum, Snappy for the Ludos, Lanternas (a creepy frog if there ever was one) and mixtus, jklau for the ludo, Dean288367 for the Trivium, Jillio62 for the pretty pink rock and the Bulbus, Maholah for the Serpentis.
The request frogs do repeat. I got the same request frog three times yesterday (second time this has happened in three days). Today I got a request for a frog that I used for a request yesterday, and I have had the same frog requested twice today for rewards I didn't do (cash ones). I've only been actively using the requests as a method of getting stamps for three days, and began keeping track of these repeats since yesterday. I'm just telling y'all this because you might think about cataloging the request frogs you breed if you are actively fulfilling requests. I don't keep one of each breed in my habs, I just keep them in my catalogue.
Tree Art Habitat I saw this habitat art in the "other" thread and it is on sale today in the store. I think it is an Asian wood cut print - tres elegant! I think it will join the ranks of my most fave habs - clover, mossy tree, and carved rock with yellow inset glyphs. It's shown here in Hollowman's Blue Ring Octopus habitat. http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=66991&page=391
Thank you Shasta, Quossum and danjarus for the breeder frogs. FYI I have done both of the updates and currently running the lastest version of PF 1) fixing sets that were crashing, I never had this problem 2) fixing older idevices that were crashing and the catalog charging the wrong price, I never had this problem My game is working fine (knock on wood) but if you have not updated yet, update at your own risk
More tips to increase your chances of winning a froggie race: 1) Tap behind your frog to keep it going fast 2) Block the lane of the frog that is about ready to pass you 3) Threaten frog legs for dinner All these methods have been tried by forum members and they swear they work.
I wish all those forum members would stop swearing! Don't forget to check the shop for the Fly Pizza. Place it at the finish line, and your frogs will definitely do their best at the races! ;-)
Thanks to dean for Azure verus, Lisi for the Biplex, Tulielath for Veru and Gemini, darthpod for Floresco, Quo for the Obaro, Veru, and Magus, Gracesqx for a Veru, miawillow for a Pingo, Andi for the Nasus frogs, and Maholah for a Veru! Thanks also to anyone I may have left out.
Wow, that's beautiful but not in my shop today :-( I did however find it in a pond present a little while ago! But there was no room in my mailbox :-( Speaking of pond gifts today I seem to have had a run on potions - most with 13 in them, which also happens to be the reward for the request I'm working on at the moment. Coincidence or just randomness? This morning i started writing down the people who sent me gifts - apologies if I missed anyone- thank you to Dean, Lisianne, Shortbus, Quossum, Domenic, Andi, Khasahara and either danjarus and/or jenandroy. I still have a few in the queue too I have been sending out random frogs and will have the first batch of yesterday's Bulla's ready to go very soon. Cheers, Obs.
Must have been in the shop yesterday, southern-hemisphere time. Can't say I was looking for it, so I don't remember. But welcome, Aussie cousin!
Jobberknoll and I want to thank: Bellacoconut for the Partiri and Insero Andi for the Nasus ((D))), serpentis and Bulla Snappy for the Sagitta and one other I wasn't quick enough to catch Bulletgobbler for the Orbus, Calvaria and Sol Maholah for the Signum Dlstar for the Bulla Dom for the Clunicula and jklau for the Bulbus. I've got to think of a better way to keep a list of of incoming and outgoing frogs. I haven't been writing down anything but the breed I send. Y'all are probably getting duplicates, and I apologize for that.
I dunno what it is. I had the same experience. I found 132 potions pond hopping today. Like you, they were mostly larger quantities in each present. Stamps have been scarce. What's NOT been scarce are presents with 11 coins in them, Dirt Habitats galore, and on top of it all, insult to injury... Andi let out all his Nasus in my pond!
Some advice needed, please. What method do you use for Dexing high level frogs without slowly going mad? I have been working on Veru and today I just.gave.up. Sold them. Sent them to new homes. Said a few ugly words to them. I only need 58 more, but I quit. Fini. I was/am working on Bovis at the same time, so at least some habitats were turning frogs over, but I just got too frustrated. I'm too cheap with the coin to just breed and sell the eggs, not at 4-5K a turn. Even breeding with Anuras are a couple thousand coins a pop, and my coins started dropping rapidly when I was selling the eggs. I'm working on Geminus now instead, nice middle of the pack frog, level-wise. I'd like to know what's worked for everybody else, please.
I've bought that one a couple of times, but could never find any decorations that I thought went well with it, and I'm very obsessive about my habitats. Now I'm thinking, maybe those big amber stones piled up at the bottom. The art in the background is kind of busy, so the decorations have to be simple, but high happiness items. Hmmmm.
I actually like and prefer dexing "two-day frogs," now that I've gotten into the rhythm of it, especially now that we have so many habs. I, too, and stingy with the coin and grow all frogs to maturity. The top three habs under the nursery hold my 23 breeder frogs. Morning, mark chart for the three habs of eggs that hatched overnight, sell three habs of now mature frogs, put eggs in those three habs (using excel chart to figure out what frogs to breed, repeat each breeding four times to increase chance of getting target frogs). Evening, repeat. Next morning, repeat, all the while moving down the habs. When you first start a two-day breed, it takes a bit of discipline to space out the eggs, but once you get this machine going, you will have, each morning and evening, three habs of hatchlings, three habs of mature frogs to sell/gift, and six habs of maturing frogs. I have now set aside my bottom hab for my racers and potential gift frogs, so on the day the bottom three habs mature, there's only two habs to deal with. I keep my nursery free for the request frog and dropping in frogs retrieved from the MB, and usually have to give up a couple of habs for the weekly set, too. The shorter-maturing breeds throw my system totally off! if I have an urge to play at lunch (Ha! Never time.), there's plenty of taming to do. --Q
I tried breeding and selling eggs for a while but the cash started getting low, and then when the 8 new habitats came along I dropped under the 1 million mark (lol) So I mostly grow frogs to maturity. I breed the Veru's (and 2 day reward and set frogs) overnight. Then during the day I breed other stuff, depending on whether I'm working or not. So the Veru's are going very slowly but I figure I'm not in any hurry. This game will keep me going for years! I'm still getting those 13 potion presents in the pond, and lots of frogs in there too. I'm trying to find corona and lucus for my new reward and set frogs atm, so if anyone has one spare... the lucus is emerald viola and the corona's are red albeo and white tingo. But anything would be ok, if you are able too cheers, Obs
Thank you Snappy, Tuilelath and Quossum for the great frogs, will put them to work soon. dlstar, sent you the emerald viola lucus.
