I sent you the 'Whiteout' set this evening, hope you got them ok.

I still have more of them if anyone else wants them, just let me know asap please as I'll sell them off otherwise.

Nirtew you have quite a few Verus that I could use but I don't want to be greedy :) I don't have either of the greens or beiges, nor any of the floris, so whatever you send will be appreciated.

Thanks to everyone else who has sent me frogs - you know who you are :) I will continue to send random frogs to people in return.

    cheers, Obs
ps - I've noticed that if you can't accept a gift because your mailbox is full it will be offered to you again later :)
pps - my internet dropped out whilst trying to post this last night, i forgot about that when I posted that other message from my phone earlier. Oops.

After hopping in the pond with a White Aurum Adamantis, I did eventually find a 12-stamp present! I will decline coin requests many times, but find the potion requests hard to pass up, esp. if it's a new frog. Thinking back, I can't understand why I declined stamp requests before I got into frog trading. I suppose I had enough of them then and didn't use very much of them.

Thank you Quossum for the Magus, Dean for the Obaros and Golden Veru, Lisi for the Ocularis, Nirtew, Tuilelath for the Signum and Calvarias, and Maholah for the White Bruna Veru! Thanks also to Schultzi85 for Black Ludos and anyone I may have left out.

Yay, just made it to Level 31! Nice little boost of stamps there. :)

It being Saturday, I spent some time this morning taming frogs and getting ahead with presents to my usual gifters; hope all of you have enjoyed the frog storm! Heartfelt thanks to all of you; the lovely froglets are much appreciated!

Speaking of ways to get prizes in the game, I enjoy the frog puzzle game, but I wish the presents weren't so random; one time I got a prize of ONE coin. Yes, one! I understand that racing can be quite a dex-builder, though. I guess I need to look up stats on the best racers and give it a try!

The Maroon Aurum Veru is an excellent racer and other good ones are Cocos Chroma and Orange Albeo. There are, of course many others. For the Magus, try Azure Pruni, Cocos Picea, Lime Caelus or Purple Aurum. As a general rule, the higher speed and stamina values are better. I try not to use potions when racing unless there is a particular frog I want immediately. Sometime I will race to get coins, but usually just to find new frogs from time to time. Sometimes, PF will get in a losing streak and you will get no first place winners in a row. I usually stop then until the game improves. Certain frogs rarely lose like the Maroon Aurum Veru. Others will win occasionally and the prizes can be really cool.

I have tried the puzzle also and after all the lining up all the frogs, sometimes all you get is a few measly coins! Other times the scenery or frogs you get are very nice. Your chances are better with racing high-level frogs, though, with good speed and stamina. But there is that pesky "entry fee." Good luck and have fun experimenting with racing occasionally.

Thank you and a good evening to all,

Oh, wow, Snappy--thanks for these great tips! It so happened that (dexing Magus) I had a Cocos Picea in one habitat, so I matured him up and put him in a race. He won! I got to choose a new Veru.:D

The entry fee is of no consequence (a year of raising all frogs to maturity has me at over 15 million coins), but...it's always about the stamps! Had to clear out a spot in the mailbox before the race, but I was glad I did.

I think I'm going to set my newly dubbed "Speedy Chocolate" up in one of my breeding habitats and let him hang around for a while.

Quossum, SnappyMcfrog is correct that the Maroon Aurum Veru is a very good racer. Just happened to have one in my habitat so I sent it to you.:)

If anyone else would like one let me know and I will whip one up for you.

BTW, if you are dexing magus you might want to try a Aqua Chroma (107/109). In my racing days this was my most constant winner.

    Couple of tips for racing:
Always make sure your frog is 100% happy before a race and don't race them more than 2/3 times a day.

I have also found that newly tamed frogs are more likely to win even if its the only time they ever win. My racing strategy isn't really a strategy though - I just go through the frogs one at a time whilst making lunches or dinner until my mailbox is full :) My other trick is I hand the game to one of my kids and tell them to tame and race everything they can, but don't sell anything!

    cheers, Obs

    Hi everyone,

It's been very interesting reading everyone's strategies and methods of breeding and 'dexing their frogs.

Like a lot of other people I started off cataloguing everything and anything until I came across the devpinoy page and took some ideas from there. I've catalogued every species now, and my catalogue is full - I have deleted a couple (Anura, Crustalli) so I can fit all the new frogs in.

I keep a full set of base frogs in primary and secondary colours in whatever species I'm currently doing my main breeding in, and up until recently I had one of every frog in my habitats but I sold off everything except the ones that you can't find in the pond or race for.

At the moment I'm breeding Veru's overnight (so they hatch in the morning sometime between waking up and doing the school run), Bulla's whilst I'm at work (I do between 4 and 6 hr shifts) and at the moment Roboris when I have time to look at it frequently. I've almost finished the Roboris so I'm slowly changing all the base frogs to Adamantis.

I haven't spent any money at all, but I am sort of thinking about a baby proofing kit so I can double my egg space. I sometimes use potions to speed up hatching or maturity but rarely use them to speed up the whole cycle. I'm usually happy to wait.

And up until the last week or so when I joined this forum I've barely used stamps at all but that's changing now with all this fabulous trading to be done!

    cheers, Obs

I did pretty good with my stamp-producing factory (using low level reward frogs) and netted over 100 stamps. I got lucky and got 2 reward requests for Verus for which I had the right primary or secondary color, and only needed an Anura to breed the right frog. Those 2 requests netted 48 stamps since I had the Verus.

The most frustrating thing was waiting for a new request after declining one, so I ended up tuning my Auto-Lock to 'never' and read a book while waiting for a new one to pop up.

Thank you everyone for the frogs.....lisianne, miawillow, bellacoconut, quossum, maholah, nirtew, snappy and I know I've forgotten someone, though I try to write the gifts down before I accept them.

I sent out 42 frogs today, so until some mature I don't have much to send. I am using one habitat to breed Geminus, they mature quickly and I hope that people can use them since it's a newer frog.

If you send me frogs, I will send something back as soon as I have some to send, I'm not ignoring you! (and I do keep a list).

I'm 79% done with Veru and if anyone's got a Royal, Cocos or Red extra hanging around, I could use it. Don't breed it special, just think of me if you've got one to give away.

And I still want to know what everyone is working on, I can't always tell from your habitats.

    Thanks.
