I just started a new game for my partner on an ipad and she really doesn't want it, so I took it over. It's fun starting again. But I love my 16 habitats
I use my iphone to backup my game before I do an update. I figured between plus+, itunes and my phone I should be covered in case there is a problem.
Thanks for that tip on GetSatisfaction site, I never noticed that. Re the PF update, I saw mention on Ian Marsh's twitter page. Is that where you saw it? Any news on what's in the update?
How do you do that? If both iDevices are on 1 account do you go to your iPhone, switch your current game to it and then go back to your iPod and switch it back to there?
I don't know if it was a lucky pond, but those results are better than mine. I hop at about 75 hops/minute, so with my averages (given in post #20702 above), I would have gotten about 3 level 16 frogs, 31 stamps and 28 potions in 30 minutes.
Seeking friendly Bulbus Hi! My frogs are ready to party, but they are sadly lacking this week's guest of honor: The Bulbus. Like so many others, I'm in need of a Bulbus and would appreciate a donation if anyone has an extra. Please let me know what you'd like in return. I can make anything else. (And don't let my boring beige froggies dissuade you from asking--I'm working my way through the colors.) I wonder if the developers only offered that species once and then used them for a set in order to increase the social aspect of the game, and to increase forum visibility? Smart move, if they did. The new update is ready . It does the following: Added error checking to prevent sets from crashing Improved Pro Shop connectivity Optimized game sounds
You install the game on the "backup" device and sign into plus+. Now both devices have the exact same game. I then update on the "primary" device and if there are no problems I just go ahead and play (note: the 2 devices now have different games). I then go and uninstall the game on the "backup" device. If there is a problem with the update, I can uninstall the game on the primary device and go play on the backup device to make sure plus+ saves that game and the I reinstall the game on my primary device. Hope that makes sense.
So when you install and sign in on the backup device, PF says something like "you can't play PF on 2 devices, do you want to start a new game or save your current game" and you save it. Then you repeat the sign in and save game process but on the primary device and see if the update's OK. Have I got it right?
DeanKeith, nice work on the flies/presents calculations! Mine is 2.36%, and I'm usually going for flies, not presents, and either following the frogs, or going North, with pauses to aggressively chase flies in a foursquare area of pads. Thanks for the lovely froggies, Dean, Snappy, Nirtew, lisi, ashpupp! I've started keeping track of what I send to avoid doubling up on sending people the same frog, and hopefully I send you something new. It's mostly Magus at this point. =} --Q
After you put the game on your backup device and both devices have the same game you go to your primary device. You do not have to do anything because you are already signed in to plus+ , you just play like normal. You then do the update and if everything is fine you uninstall the game on the backup. Be sure to uninstall on the backup because they are now different versions. If there is a problem .. Uninstall the game on the problem primary device and go to your backup device and it will be just like you left it because you are already signed into plus (without the update) . You can then go to your primary device and reintall and sign into plus and you will have the game back before the update. Please note: you can have different saved games on different devices. PF does not sync between devices but as long as you do not sign out of plus+ it will keep the different games.
