Didn't know about backing up one's iDevice the way you mentioned, Nirtew. Thanks for the idea. The reason I suggested backing up the .ipa of ANY program you prize & wouldn't want to lose versus just syncing is because the bugs might not appear until later. By that time, you might have synced the "bad code" any number of times so the backup would be worthless. With the older .ipa, I know you can replace the buggy .ipa at any time, if the need arose. There are a whole host of people on the PF Support Site who could solve their problems if they had the previous .ipa. Penemuel, the "Friends" list thing has been a time-limited problem in the past. It has always come back as Nirtew said. That said, the Plus+ Network is no longer being developed according to the devs of PF, who have zero control over it or its problems. Further, they said that it would be too complicated & risky to move data to the Game Center. My concern is that if Plus+ were to bite the dust anyone with PF would be in a state of limbo, if not "dead in the (pond) water. If you feel the same way, visit their support site (http://getsatisfaction.com/nimblebit/topics) & make your feelings known. Probably won't make a difference but it can't hurt. p.s.: Thanks, still again, to all the usual suspects ( ): Nirtew, Snappy, & Andi. At 19% of my 'dex complete, all the frogs sent were ones I didn't yet have.

All of my friends are back (and the new ones are even still there!), and the level info is back to normal. Whew! That was odd. Definitely concerned about what might happen if Plus+ goes *poof* so I'm going to head over to that link and comment. (Although occasionally I think starting from step one could be fun, in reality I'd REALLY hate to lose all that hard work. I'm 27% done with my froggydex and completed all the awards, and that'd be a lot of work to lose...) ETA: Is there a specific thread to comment on, or should I make my own? I'm trying to find one that refers to it, but keep getting a server error.
I think we're on the same wavelength re saving your .ipa. Save your last non-buggy .ipa so you can always revert to it even if you lose some data. No more development of plus+ is indeed a serious problem; no more development is the last step before lights out. It means backing up your PF data on both your computer and your idevice becomes even more necessary. Thanks for the info. Do you have a link to the Plus+ story? Reading the posts from a search for "plus" on the support site is like being inside a horror movie.

Hi Nirtew. I was on vacation for a while and then came back to a very busy schedule. I have not had much time for PF so I have just been doing habitats of verus and magus (never did like empty habitats). I come back in 2 days and sell the mature ones and breed again. I heard that there was an update for PF coming and decided to check on it. Seems like it is only for current problems and since my game is working fine I will wait awhile and let others download it first. In the process of checking out the update I noticed that lisianne was sending people to facebook for frogs so thought I would hop into the "old thread" and see what was up. Hope everyone is doing fine. ps Thank you Andi for ALL of the Obaros and to everyone else that has sent me frogs. Hopefully you all got your thank you frogs in a timely matter.
It's not a dumb question when Apple meets Windows. Go to My Documents\My Music\iTunes\Mobile Applications and all the .ipa files will be there. You can then copy any you want to save.

Perhaps with all of the complaints sent to plus+ regarding the issue they fixed it. When we said that plus+ was no longer being developed we were only passing along what they had told us at the time. Plus+ is so heavily integrated into the Pocket Frogs game that moving it to Game Center or another system would be very labor intensive and likely do more harm than good to the game." Now here's a comment from one of the devs a bit earlier: "Ian Marsh (Customer) 13 days ago My understanding of the problem is that it is usually caused by either having a large number of friends in your list which causes the app to fail loading them all, or caused by having the date set incorrectly on your device which can confuse the plus+ servers. Unfortunately plus+ isn't actively being developed anymore and the current solution is the best we have for now. It would be unrealistic to move Pocket Frogs and all of its users to a different system unfortunately. The latest update to Pocket Frogs did included a caching fix which at least got rid of the issue of the entire list disappearing most of the time. Whoa, Nirtew! While I was answering another thread, you were posting my reply to this query! I mean, c'mon, give a gal a chance to answer. The "actual path" would be (at least with for Windows 7): C:\Users\YourUserName\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Mobile Applications. Replace "YourUserName" with your UserName. If you're logged in as YOU (most likely scenario), then Nirtew's path is correct. That said, if there's a problem, replacing the .ipa would require, among other things, deleting the app from your iDevice BEFORE resyncing. It *might* (not certain 'bout this) also require that you choose NOT to sync PF before you delete from your iDevice & before reinstalling. DO NOT DO THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE THE LATEST, CURRENT VERSION (allowing 16 habs) OF PF!!!! If you do so with an earlier version, you will have a world of troubles. Believe me & the gazillion people on the support forum who made this critical blunder. Hope this helps.

Wow, that Plus+ news is pretty chilling. I hope it stays viable for a good while longer, even if not "actively developed." I've been enjoying the frogs, lisi, ashpupp, Nirtew, Snappy, dom, darth, Shortbus! I've been trying to send out Magus to everyone, but I don't know that I can ever catch up with you guys!
