Excellent idea. You should have an octopus. I have no idea what it would do, but the octopus is such a cool looking creature. Then you should have a turtle that you could use to hang stuff up. After all, turtles are nature's suction cups. As you can tell, I don't have any really good ideas.

to be honest, i would suggest you have some creatures in the game that don't have a particular purpose, as well as ones that do, just to help build the world our creature lives in.

also a monkey, you can never have enough monkeys.

All ideas are welcome :) The Octopus could be used as a Frisbee toy that will pick up anything it flies past? :D

To Goose; we will have tiny critters that will just be used to make the environment seem more alive - butterflies etc. However all critters with a certain size will be interactive. All critters, big or small will also walk around minding their own business, doing their stuff, when the players isn't interacting with them - not just lying around being static tools :)

I want to bump this because it's not getting nearly enough attention :D

Have you guys come up with a submission date yet? How close is the game to completion?

    some suggestions:

    - different weathers
    - passing of time affects the game, like for example its evening on your place, it will be evening too on the game like animal crossing.
    - more social features to other players.

Hi guys! We are currently planning to begin the beta invitation via our facebook page some time next month.

The focus of the first beta iteration will be to gather feedback and ideas for the "pet" aspect of the game - how the creature reacts to the player, what it will do by itself, and how player actions will affect the pet over time.

Seeing all the ideas in this thread I'm really looking forward to this :D

    Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/pages/Copenhagen-Denmark/Tactile-Entertainment/60320807423?ref=ts

I will post a new Beta thread when the Beta invitation begins - no need to shout for invites here yet :)

Hi Saint, we haven't decided 100% whether you must have a facebook account to join the beta. In any case we want to gather our beta feedback in one social forum and facebook seem to be a good candidate.

    K7: We still haven't decided on a title but I'm considering making a name-giving competition soon :)

How about "Creatures"? Vague and interesting.

I think this game looks awesome. I cant imagine though it being able to hold the users attention for an incredibly long time unless there is updates frequently with more stuff to do with your creature. I will probably get this looks like a lot of fun. Looking for Beeta testers? ;)

"creatures" is already taken by one of those awful stat based "MMOs"

off topic: i wish those games would feck off the appstore, im tired of scrolling through the rpg section when it is 90% credit packs for these shite games.

That is always a good way to make sure your peers approve of the title. Please dont let an i name win...Haha, icreatures=no good.

edit: I think Facebook would be a farily good spot for test feedback, or as zlibd mentioned Twitter is a nice and simple means to do so as well.
