Get this game, AWESOME Everyone who grew up in the 90's and 00's needs to get this game. It is a blast. It is an amazing tribute to one of the greatest arcade games of those decades. The controls work great. this is a must have for any retro gamer or any other gamer for that matter. The developer is also super cool and deserves the support.
Downloading the lite now. I had no idea this game was from the creator of one of my other favorite games, Karate Fighter! Looking forward to this.
7 left Promo codes sent to aidan, khamous, and djflippy. Congratz, guys. Jersey Joe's surely developed a concussion by now - three fights in one night!
Done. I barely beat Joe. Fun stuff. I love punch-out style games! My OF name is Chrono Gear. I'm #79 on the leaderboards. I feel sad for myself, I can do way better.
3 left If you had trouble with Joe, you're almost certain to get mauled by Mad Moose McGee. I hope you stick with it and have fun. There's an "easy" mode that can be used for practicing - it won't let you post scores or log achievements, but it's a good way to build up some experience: opponents fight the same, but do half damage, ko meter is much quicker to fill, and opponents won't dodge ko punches. I was considering incorporating an "replay" feature where you could play back other people's best games, but punted at the last minute for the 1.1 update (which remains in limbo at Apple). I think this would be handy, both as a way to showcase best bouts and to help other players learn how to beat the harder opponents.
2 left! Promo code sent. If you don't mind my asking, roughly how many tries did it take before you managed to knock out out The Behemoth? While he's not the most difficult opponent in the game, he's much harder than most of the opponents in "Road to the Title" - in the full version he's one of the unlockable matches available only after beating Rasta King. There's a separate contest still open which you may want to look into on the main Pocket Boxer thread, where you can win itunes gift certificates. They remain unclaimed, but sounds like you'd have a good shot at taking one.
I beat him on my third try. My problem is I keep trying to throw too many extra punches, some of those times are really amazing. Thank you for the info, will have a look. Also left feedback for the lite version and will also do so for the full one in a bit.
