Lol I just add the gnomes and pirates as a part of my collection to look at since they really aren't too powerful later on,very nice bonus for anyone just starting I suppose though.
Hey Andre I think I found a bug. I'm not really sure though. I just recently unlocked the Assassin and I haven't trained any units for it. Then when I try to ask friend to deploy him in my army, the whole list of army freezes.I had to "x" the list and got back to the home interface. I tried so many times to deploy the Assassin but I couldn't. I could only deploy one spot in my army and when i try to deploy on other slots,as I said the whole army list freezes. So any ideas what I should try? If this is a bug, please fix it asap. Thanks
@Alligat0rbl00d: Thanks a lot for your feedback. It's a bug in this version, and you can deloy with this bug. We will fix this bug in next version. Please continue play the game without using Assasin. I'm sorry about this inconvenience.
I don't know if you guys would agree with me but the price of the potions seem quite expensive and heals an insignificant amount of health on my health bar. My advice is either change the price to coins and keep the healing points the same or lower the price of the gems a tiny bit more and bring the healing points up. Thanks
Healing in general seems pretty low with a set standard amount instead of a specific percentage of your health.
Personally, I see the issue of Coins vs. Gems as larger than the Health concern, and it's something for you guys to seriously consider... I've already reached a point where my Coin count is significantly outpacing my Gem count. What this means in practice is that Coins quickly become meaningless, with Gems becoming all that much more valuable, which leads to concerns about not being able to spam Bosses for Gems. Although some of the drama is a bit ridiculous, there is a real balance problem. After reaching a high enough level, Coins just aren't useful, and the game inevitably becomes a Gem hunt. It's a large-scale, fairly radical move, but I would support either making potions, etc. Coin-based or at least dual currency-based. This would further encourage gameplay, spending, and provide balance. As an example, if you used Coins to buy 2x Potions to eventually spam Bosses, but the payouts for Bosses were kept at their current reduced rates, players would win, developers would win, and players would have a reason to play against opponents that offered Coin rewards. As it stands, any player reaching level 40-ish upward is going to see their Coin count increase at uneven rates as compared to their Gem count, while the game becomes almost exclusively Gem-based... DBC
See my "wall-o'-text..." tl;dr: I agree with you, and on a larger scale than you suggested, as your comment has illuminated a larger balance concern... DBC
Regarding coins vs gems... I think the balance isn't too bad specifically because units costs coins only. They are a real money sink (to be fair I don't use units though). I do think at higher levels gems are more important but the balance is not as bad as you imply in my opinion. That said, the easiest way to fix this is just to allow people to buy gems with coins... But make the exchange rate steep. Say 2000 gold for a gem but only do it in increments of 50. So 100,000 coins for 50 gems. Then you can tweak the rate as needed for balance. The healing thing is a much bigger deal and speaks to a point I have tried to make numerous times. All abilities NEED to be percentage based. It is just lazy design for it not to be. I don't mean that to sound harsh but the current skill damage/healing system is just very silly in my opinion. I'll leave it at that so I don't beat a dead horse... but feel free to see my previous posts on the subject.
@DBC Don't quote me on this, but wasn't it you that, just a few days ago, was saying the gem rewards were all balanced and fair?
Not sure if you're trying to articulate some kind of position or point here? So, I guess yes? Oh, and FYI, no one would have to quote you on it, if you were so inclined you could simply find the post where I said it and quote me. So we're clear, I'm discussing overall balance for an FTP game, which is a little bit more nuanced than a regular paid game. Maybe that's what is throwing you off? DBC
If you paid $6.00 for it? No. As it is, an FTP title? An emphatic YES. You're going to grind, but if your progress looks anything like mine after a couple weeks, you'll end up buying "guilt IAPs"... DBC
Ok thanks DBC! Perhaps I need to reconsider this game but IAPs kind of make the stomach queasy so....... Yep ok maybe
I wouldn't hesitate to check it out. H3ll, I'd do an ad for these guys of they asked. I've actually hooked a few of my friends irl... You know my posting history and specifically my views on IAPs. If this game were a problem, I would be one of the first offering genuine complaints, but it isn't. It's just super d@mn fun. Don't forget to add me in GC! Also, shoot me a PM if you need tips. I'm not great, but I'm about to hit level 60, and I know my way around a bit... DBC
Oh god no. I was not trying to put myself into any position at all. That question was simply for my own sake! Happy grinding!
