Reached level 13 and only one boss left. Seems xp may a bit of a grind now. Kirenx your play style is different than mine, definetly well though out and it works. I made it this far in the original ship, Its still sitting at level 6. Really liking the game and saving up the anti-matter. Your set up makes me rethink the Ion Wolf but I love hit and run tactics. I wonder if more ships will be introduced. Does anyone know max leve? Noticed gold ships are higher but as you level this max level increases on all ships.
What are you using now? If you are early in the game and only have the starting ship, you may be fine picking a mid ship. Most find the Roswell and T 47 are good upgrades without breaking the bank. I had planned on buying the Omega until i saw a post on the T 47 and bought it. Totally glad i did - its basically the Omega with one turret less (because you will really only use one side at a time) for 2 squadrons which is a nice trade off. I would only get the Omega if i felt i needed it late game since it has a higher level cap. I personally like have the squadrons more; fits my play style. Purple stuff is good for opening more forges as you will maximize your gold and eventually get more high level gear - which is ultimately more important than the ship anyways.
Ok I think I'm getting the hang of this game now. I'm not bitter about my Roswell anymore, just had to figure out how to properly use it, albeit I'm not too fond of the turret angles at the back of the ship but oh well. Nice video. I noticed you have a legendary blaster, was that a reward? I ask because mine was a legendary cannon and it has almost 2000 range, so I tend to run turn around and shoot, run some more while my fighters harasss.
It dropped off of one the earlier bosses, so pretty random. I wish the back angle of the two turrets on the sides of the Roswell faced a tad more forward.
Just noticed something: when you shoot, if your own fighters get in the way they get hit by your own attacks. That's good to know as I usually launch them right away and it may then be better to wait. Edit: only seems to be certain attacks that hit them though.
Help me with decision I have enough purple points for the battleship omega. Is it really worth it or should I buy the carnage weaver or something else? Any suggestions
Yeah cannon fire and blasters, also if you are launching fighters, and slow down the squad ships will run into each other and take damage. Was launching a squad of 5 and slowed down so the 4th launch ship stopped too and the 5th launched ran into the 4 ship. Kirenx have you experimented with torpedoes, I find the too slow to be effective even thought their damage is nice.
Yeah, torpedoes are slow, missile launchers as well. I've been using a rare missile turret as it's stats were high, but more often than not it seems the enemy ships just move out of the way and the missiles fizzle out. Currently it seems beam turrets are among the best bet, doing high damage at a high range and being next to impossible to dodge. I also got a legendary cannon from the first boss that while getting low in the damage department as I level up, has an awesome shot spread. I wish there was a way to level up my weapons without replacing them and hoping for something as good/better. I'll be loath to give up that legendary cannon, but the leveling makes equipment redundant so quickly.
Agreed I strictly use beam cannons now, I look for parasitic designation gives me health back as I attack at range but the legendary cannon I keep, so far nothing comes to its range. Yeah I think legendaries may not be downgradable but don't want to risk it. For squad loadout do you use fighter Bomber mix or just fighters. I find the maneuverability of the fighters make up for the bombers slow but high damage plus if the AI has fighters , having more of them helps.
Anyone try the Shadow Force ? Or Nova Carrier it has the most hp of all the ships even gold ones but appears extremely slow. Slow for the Omega with 8 guns can be okay but not sure about a ship crarrier.
As if the T47 wasn't already a monster, I just ended up buying crewmember Admiral Worthington. His ability basically lets you spam your guns for what seems like an amount of time easily leading to overkill as well as allows you ship to turn on a dime, cancelling the only real drawback of the T47.
Very nice! The right crew member can be deadly and you just proved it! Slaughter away! Level 15 yet? Have you managed to craft any legendaries? So far I have only gotten epics as highest.
I got Battleship Omega now, and I shall say, it has an absolute assload of Health. (At level 8 it has already 2800-sum health.) It is rather slow to move and turn, though, but having something that increases turning rate does compensate a lot. Four guns on the port and starboard side is nice, and I have the port side full Torpedo and the other a mix of blaster/missile/beam/laser. Why full port Torpedo, you ask? Simply put, having shield active while firing four Torpedoes at once is basically rape. It kills any starship possible, whereas the starboard side having a mix is to defend your flank from any fighter/bomber attacks, as well as dealing with a second ship. Of course, different combos work, but I find this extremely efficient, especially at the end bosses of the Bat Galaxy. If any of you ever played Homeworld, think of this like a Progenitor Dreadnaught from the second game. Except loads of torpedoes instead of a front-mounted Phased Cannon Array. Also, be mindful when upgrading this dude. It's dumbfoundingly expensive.
Also I hope they introduce a higher level hybrid carrier since the only one available maxes out at lvl 18
I like it because you can use all 3 cannons at once I have not yet used the Roswell though. Also the speed is unmatched so if you have long range turrets you are pretty safe
I'm trying to find something similar to the Roswell to upgrade to now that I'm used to how to maneuver the ship. Something with speed, hangars, and a decent amount of hp? I guess the Sapphire or the Yellow-Tail are similar in design but so much slower I'm used to using fighters to relieve pressure or as killing blows as I regen so would be hard playing without hangars.
