I have just two because I am saving for my ion wolf but after you have a couple of decent ships, all antimatter should go for forges until you max them all up, seems there is a total of 5 or 6 tabs. In my opinion you need the extra tabs to maintain the level of weapons, the forge takes longer with each level you gain I am at 14 and make a normal turret in 6 hours. I think this is a flaw in the game the times for the forge should be constant at least later on in the game, and we need to know an estimate time at least before starting forging I think the forge need to be completely revamped by the developers
I've got three tabs and saving for the fourth. All three forges are busy 24/7. That's how I got my two legendary turrets and a legendary bombers. I haven't had any legendary drops from enemies. So for me the forge was a very good investment.
I've got three, and it's not enough. Forging turrets at level 23 seems to take between 11 and 14 hours.
Three and I can confirm, they are in use, more ships are nice but at high level maintaining them is tough, since levelling is still 2 day affair. Finding a ship you sync with and forging legendary items for it gets you the best results. IMHO
I have both the Proto and the Tunguska, i prefer the 360 turrets of the proto but havent really had a lot of time with the tunguska (got it from forging 3 ships). I will say this, the proto is A LOT slower then the tunguska, so if that is your preferred method of play, all the whizzing about, you wont get that with the proto. 360 turrets are awesome though, and I love having the 4 tech mod slots. ALl in all I would say that if you are looking for a different play style, try out the ion wolf, having the hanger bays allows for some great kiting.
Thanks for the reply! I have 3 forge slots. To forge a turret it takes about 10 hours. Since I don't have any fighters on my Tungska I haven't forged a fighter in a long time.
Does each forge tab reduce the time of forging? Why would I want to forge 4, 5, or 6 items rather than forging 3? I'm not sure of the advantages? I have 3 forge tabs right now and it seems to work well. I'm thinking about adding another forge tab.
If u forge a turret in 12 hours or so at level 23 that means each forge will produce only 2 turrets per day. A lot of the time this will only be an uncommon turret. If you have any ship you will probably need 6 to 8 items to equip on it, be it a mix of fighters, turrets and modules. With one forge you will need 4 days to forge 8 items. If you have 2 forge tabs you will need 2 days and so on. So the tabs are used to produce higher quality items to equip on your ship with decreasing overall time Assume you want a legendary turret or a plane, starting from scratch. You will need to use the forge 120 times. You will forge 81 normal turrets using materials the turrets will be convert to 27 uncommon turrets that will be used to create 9 rare turrets, those will be converted to 3 epic turrets and then those 3 will turn to a legendary with luck. So 120 without any luck involved either good or bad. With one forge that is equal to 60 days for one turret. Consider the ubatuba with 7 turrets and that is 14 months The extra tabs will definitely help reduce the time
Wow! Great explanation. Thanks. So you got me thinking... I have a "Hercules 9 Dreamcrusher." It's legendary, level 16, has 682 DPS and 1464 range. I LOVE the range plus it's SUPER fast. It also has a 35.5% critical hit rate. It's awesome. Even though I'm lvl21 and it has 682 DPS I keep using it. I'm scared to death to craft it though because I don't want to lose all of that speed, range, and critical hit chance. Should I craft? Should I craft it with other common or rare torpedo turrets? If I craft only legendary and rare together will I get rare or legendary results? BTW, I just crafted 3 hardwired torpedo exhausts and got a single uncommon hardwired beam exhaust with 22.7% faster beam cooldown. I wish I would've kept my 3 hardwired torpedo exhausts because they each had 22-26% faster torpedo cooldown.
I just made it to the end of the game and beat the final boss with my level 17 Spear of Polairs, and I finished up as a level 18 captain. I'm excited and sad, as dang it's going to take me a long time to level up now! I mean a LONG time only getting 2-4k XP per win, that stinks. Was struggling to finish before I forged a level 18 legendary beam with 1907 dps and 1533 range, that made the last planets a cakewalk. Not getting any nice drops at all, I've finished the game with a grand total of 8 turrets of any type, and only 6 tech mods, three shields and three repair modules that I need to forge together for higher levels once I'm sure the forge bug is gone. I have a nice inventory of low level fighters and bombers to forge together to get some epics and legendarys eventually, but that will take a week to finish up alone. I have three forge tabs going now, but am ruining out of stuff to put in the here soon. No idea how to easily level up any more - so now I just hack away at reattaching planets and hope for an expansion! I finished with 2600 anti matter, still need to purchase my first real ship, so there is that I guess!
Forging is a bit weird to be honest. But the rule seems to be that if u forge three items of the same rarity they will either produce an item with the same rarity or higher. 3 rares will produce either a rare, epic or legendary but not uncommon. So the rule is you can get back an item equating to the item with the lowest rarity. In your scenario forging your legendary with common or even uncommon, will probably be a decision you will regret, because it can yield back a common turret I would hold on to it and mix it with another 2 legendaries or at least combine it with epics, to ensure at least an epic return, at least this is how I understand the forge. You can also use tech mods to increase your favourite turret efficiency. PS: the forge is behaving funny now so I would hold onto that legendary until a fix is released
Thanks for the reply. This helps! I've really screwed up in the past mixing and matching to see what results I would get. I think I've lost a few good turrets that way. I'm definitely going to wait to forge anything else. I forged something the other day and got a complete turd. I'm going to wait a few days until I see updates and people say things seem to have normalized.
Tips for you, you can either use all your antimatter on one of the golden ships. Or you can buy a couple of small ship and experiment with them. Since you will be playing a lot of reattacks as this is the only way to continue levelling up. Using different ships should keep this task fun, and will help you adapt to other ships play style. Also items that increase XP earned can buy you a day of levelling overall You should also start forging using materials. If I were you I would hold onto my level and try to forge a lot of items before proceeding. Forging rares at level 18 take less time than at higher levels. So if you have a stock of rare or epic turrets and then level up and start forging them together you will be assured high rarity and high level returns. But if you follow this advice don't forget to at least do a couple of reattacks daily to keep the daily bonuses coming. Opening the game but not fighting will NOT count as a day you played and the dailies will reset.
I've seen messages from people where they "reset" and played through the game again using what they learned from the first play through. I know the game is automatically saved on the servers though. Is there a way to start a fresh game from the same device?
A new GameCenter ID. But the antimatter from the dailies can help you negate any early mistakes you made.
Thanks! I think I made a lot of mistakes. When I first started I used the antimatter to speed up forging. I accidentally went to a new planet and hit yes to use antimater and get 5 bars again. I upgraded my first ship rather than buying a new one. With that being said, I've been through the last galaxy for weeks now and most battles last about 3-5 seconds. I have 2500 antimatter though and almost 4 million coins. I don't know what to do next other than to keep grinding...
Finally decided to give this game a go, totally awesome! It has an energy bar which I don't mind to much. Very unique game play! How many hours of gameplay until you hit the end?
