Thanks for the Overhaul Bot info! Just curious which ship do you use? I've been using the X-24 Starter ship and the T47 Hybrid Carrier, just thinking which ship to save up for or if i should go straight to gold ones.
Tunguska, all the way. I've tried out a bunch of the options, but I always end up going back to speed + long range weapons...no one can touch me. My common level 4 Tunguska took out the level 10 boss no problem. I think it was an epic level 14 or 15 when I took out the last boss. I actually accidentally beat Johnny Nitrous in the Bat Galaxy without fighting him by picking up the crates too fast... The best ship really just depends on what style of play you enjoy the most. I prefer to be more active in the fight and don't like waiting for the AI to do it for me. Of the gold ships, I've tried the Ubatuba. It was ok and prob my second choice, but I still ended up going back to the Tunguska after I gave it a fair try. The Ion Wolf seems to be the most popular of the gold ships. Also, in case you were considering buying an overhaul bot, they are cheaper to forge: Components + Spare Parts + Any Turret. Forge cost is 50,000/4 hours.
Complete the tutorial Hey all, loving the game. Currently well underway at level 15 but I still have the 'Pirate school graduate' (or complete the tutorial) achievement unchecked in my bounties list. Does anyone know how to complete this achievement? I could really use the 50 antimatter.
Definitely either a bug or something you haven't done to accomplish it: craft something, conquer a plant a certain way such as taking no damage, or killing fighters. I am not exactly sure, but I have that bounty cleared and I am level 18.
Combined three ships and got the spear of polaris the second ship in so cheapest there is. Its epic therefore for those crafting be aware I got a ship worth less than 1/3 the antimater I put in. And they were upgraded so I lost gold on it. Grrr no more gambles for me.
Did you ever pay antimatter to speed up the forge or bring a new shipment into the store? Those are able to be bypassed, but are still part of the tutorial.
Lot of great tips in this forum for playing, thanks all. So far, level 16 (almost 17) and I have been running with the initial ship (max level at 12). Halfway through Scimitar galaxy. Most planets are gold medaled at this point. Only ones with really fast ships cause me problems. Crew is currently the speed lady. My problem is can't decide on my next ship. Plus wins and losses in the Scimitar galaxy give crazy experience.
I spent 200+ antimatter for shop restock and also sped up the forge. I'll try forging some engines or something, maybe I missed some module. By the way, if anyone's interested, Kecksburg weapon has 270 degrees arc. Best ship I've tried so far. Last boss was piece of cake with it.
I just hit level 23, threw my carnage weaver and some old legendaries in the forge... Super excited to see the results. The carnage weaver is definitely my favorite ship that I've used throughout the game, both sides have just slightly over 180° arcs, and the turning speed means you can easily spin to hit an enemy with all 6 of your turrets. Its rough using the T-47 after getting used to the weaver.

If you're patient, you can defeat the final boss with only fighters. Deploy the fighters and run as far away as you can, then try not to fall asleep. 3 random legendaries made a completely lame legendary blaster. Does anyone know if item drop modifiers have an effect on forging or daily bonuses? +Antimatter equipment gives you extra antimatter for achievements...
Is "level" of tech mod really important? I found that a level 8 tech mod increase rate of fire by +30% boost the rate of fire for my missile more than a level 15 with +29%. Besides, tech mod (except shield and repair) seems can't upgrade and forge together, anyone has a good way to get better rarity of tech mod?
