I am looking for options to my second ship I already got the t47 at level 7 but I can't seem to put up a fight against the last boss in the second galaxy, I collected 1250 antimatter I am thinking between the proto widow and the Tunguska, I like the turrets layout on the widow but I like the speed of the Tunguska? Anyone can help me with this dilemma which ship should I get and how far into the game will it still be viable, I am level 11 btw Another question about the daily bonus I got 60 antimatter on day 9, is there a limit or does it always increase
My level 4 Tunguska was able to beat the level 10 boss in the 2nd galaxy without much issue... I've tried about a third of the ship options with varying success, but the hit and run ability of speed + long range weapons is amazing even when you're seriously underleveled (just try to keep your weapons/shields current). The daily bonuses are on a 15 day cycle. Day 15 is 90 antimatter and then it resets to Day 1.
Does anyone know what's the coverage of the one turret on Kecksburg? I'd like to have one carrier type of ship in my arsenal and it seems to be the best choice. Also why would anyone choose Nova Carrier instead of Kecksburg? It has 1/3 speed and with one turret it won't stand a chance against anything that has more cannons and gets closer.
I'd take a regular rarity ship 5 or so levels higher than a legendary ship anytime. The simply fact is, the legendary status doesn't add much for ships. They don't get more ports or anything substantial, instead gaining tiny stat bonuses like 4-5% faster turning radius. These benefits are far less noticeable in practical use than the huge jump in health even a few levels offers ships.
I posted a few back how I use the kecksburg. It's a standard forward arc but perfect for hit and run tactics. Loads of fighters do your dirty work. I use a torpedo or middle launcher (at higher levels you can get a middle launcher that almost deals as much DMg as a torpedo but has zero cool down...) I love speed over big and bulky - don't like being a sitting duck.
If you like the risk, buy 3 low price ships and put them in the forge. Pay the price and wait. I got a nice Ubatuba this way. I don't know if you can get a golden ship everytime you put 3 ships in the forge, anyway. It could be worth the risk.
I'm still enjoying this game a lot, I'm up to level 13 and trying to take on level 14 planets in my level 10 ship and it's a real struggle now. Going to have to purchase another ship I guess. I wish forge times were slightly lower, 7 hours plus for every forge of basic shields and such is just too much. I've got three day of forging fighters together just to get a legendary group built! I've got 2500 antimatter saved up along with 400k or so in gold, I've not been getting anything but basic materials dropping on planets and the store has had nothing better than uncommon in the last few days either. Has slowed me down quite a bit currently anyway but I'm still plugging along!
I haven't had trouble clearing level 19 planets with a level 17 legendary ship, and not because I haven't upgraded but because I'm not at level yet. However I don't think it would be possible if I had a stock quality ship at level 17. I guess it does help having epic or better quality equipment though. And to the person that commented about the lack of options in the store, I totally agree. I remember seeing rare, epic pieces every now and then and the past couple of weeks nothing but common.
I've had this installed on my device since it came out and just got around to playing it on Friday at work. Must say...this game is pretty sweet. At least, so far. Could use a bit more diversity but that can be addressed in updates, just like the original IB.
For anyone looking for rare/epic equipment, I've found out that using antimatter to restock generates way better stock than waiting for auto-restock. Got several blue and purple towers this way. I tried this and it's worth using only once or twice in a row, maybe server check the time. Burned maybe 100-150 antimatter this way but was worth it. I recommend saving gold though before doing this, purple turrets can cost around 240k at lvl 17.
Is lvl 23 the hard cap? If so I should be upgrading my ion wolf every chance for a chance at legendary status shouldn't I? Currently lvl 18 only at uncommon.
I did and had epic from about level 8-16, then hit legendary at 17. Legendary Ion cap is 25, not sure if that is different from the common stock one.
You can continue to upgrade for a chance to improve rarity even when you're at the level cap, your ship level will just stay at 23.
Max level of a ship depends on the level when you buy it initially. Gold ships have a higher range than the other ships. Right now, though, you cannot advance above level 23.
