Really impressed with this game, I appreciate how much of the premium currency you get. I'm looking at a new ship and the scimitar seems extremely good. With 4 tech modules it seems like you could have infinite shields if you focused on crafting some good shields. And three forward facing turret slots is very good. I would miss my epic squadrons but with four shields it would be worth it. Has anyone bought a tech module ship? Or I could just splurge for the fourth forge tab. Decisions decisions. Also, I just crafted this beast of a turret. Pretty happy with it. http://imgur.com/sxJFdhi
Personally, I find Destroyers to be rather... Love/hate, shall I say. Yes, they have tons upon tons of Module Hardpoints, but multiple shields won't last. You gotta build it for survivability and damage at the same time. In my opinion, you should try a shield, repair, buff, and a hardwired module. Also, I'd recommend Shadow Force as a Destroyer. It's got more guns (4) than the Scimitar (3).
Any idea what to do with Arc Shards after you've made the turret and the techmod? Is there any use for them other than selling? Nobody seems to have seen any so far that I've heard. I'd love to get another Arc turret. Someone several pages back said they saw one for sale in the shop. Can anyone else confirm that? Is there any way to upgrade the Arc turret? Seems like throwing it in the forge with 2 random turrets will destroy it. Question about the Arc tech mod - do the stats change at all at higher levels? (I haven't crafted mine yet.) The stats I saw in a video earlier gave a damage boost to all weapons for 5 seconds with a 10 second cooldown (if I remember right). Do those stats change at different levels?
If you are level 10 and your ship is level 4. Does an upgrade bring it to level 10 or just to level 5? It cost like 75000 plus the materials so want to make sure it's worth it. Loving this game.
If you start the upgrade process today, it will bring your ship up to level 10. Things to remember: 1) As you noticed, it's not cheap. 2) It takes your ship out of commission for quite a while. Probably a few days at that level. 3) If you level up to level 12 in the mean time, the ship will still come out of the forge at level 10.
Trying to decide between the Kecksburg and ion wolf. Really like speed of the Kecksburg and 4 fighter bays but the ion wolf has a higher max level and two turrets which would be nice. Thoughts?
I have three arc beam turrets -- 1 epic forged from the event, 1 rare from the store, and 1 rare from a daily reward bounty. They are all level 20/21 so I am considering throwing them in together to get a (hopefully epic or legendary) level 23, but I don't know for sure that this will work -- eek! From what I've seen, arc beams can also randomly come up in beam upgrades or as products of 3 x random turret forges. My level 23 arc techmod offers +5840 dps for all turrets, 5s up/15s down, plus a couple stat boosts from its epic status. I am holding on to my arc shards in case more arc targeting modules / tactical panels show up in the store after the event is over.
4 hour timer to make the overhaul bot. Go ahead and try it, but I do not believe there is any benefit to using an overhaul bot if you haven't maxed out the level of your ship. I think its only function is to increase max level and it's basically a tax/fee because you haven't gotten a new ship in awhile -- "if you don't want to spend the antimatter fine, but upgrades are gonna cost you a lot more from now on" kinda thing. I just started upgrading my legendary Tunguska with an overhaul bot to get it to level 23 when it has a max level of 20, and the gold cost was nearly DOUBLE the upgrade cost of ships that are not maxed out. Overall, extremely expensive, though still not as expensive as trying to get a new Tunguska and upgrade it up to legendary status with a bunch of failed tries...
I beat that level easily! Level 9 Spear of Polaris Repair Module +800HP(not exact HP) Shields are useless against the arc fences. The starter crew member(+50% speed) Just like another person said, heal, then enter, heal, then exit. Since shields are useless against arc fences(laser fences), it's best to have 2+ repair modules.
I got an Aspect Purple. I was messing around in Forge placing items, and came across this: The Aspect Purple(and presumably all aspects) can be crafted with components and small parts. But not in the same forge. So, Aspect, components OR small parts and one other item are used to make something
Huh, I have an aspect black and have been saving until I'm higher level, and until I knew what I'd be making!
Try Homeworld and Homeworld 2 on PC. They're probably available on Steam or Good Old Games. A lot of similarities, except you're controlling a fleet, not a single ship.
