Guys, I just forged my second legendary by combining 3 epic fighters. What I've noticed so far is that, when you combine 3 things of the same rarity, the outcome will be of that same rarity or higher. However, if you combine two epic with a rare for example, there is still chance to get a rare instead. So save up those high rarities and don't combine them with lower ones.
Just curious Does anyone have any experience with the sapphire-814? Specifically I'd like to know if the turrets go 360. I gave almost 2500 antimatter and I'm looking to upgrade my ship soon, wondering if I should get a gold ship or get something cheaper and a new crew member and possibly another forge slot...the t47 doesn't really interest me either.
I own the Sapphire and it has a major blind spot in the back. It's a nice ship, and was a decent upgrade from my Roswell but if I did it all over again I would've waited and jumped straight to the Ion Wolf which is what I have now. The problem I had with the Sapphire is the lack of speed compared to the Roswell, and it doesn't have the defenses to make up for the deduction in speed like the Ion Wolf does.
Zero blindspots, out of the three Golden ships available to me it was worth it. But it took gear and a small learning curve to get used to how the ship plays, but it fits my play style. I like a good mix of crew, defenses, and hangars, so it fit the bill for me. Plus you can't go wrong with two crew seats, lots of different combinations to work with that layer with your tech mod slots. I also didn't buy it until right when I hit level 9. I posted a gameplay video of the Ion Wolf in action a couple of pages back, check it out before buying. I might make another later.
Arg! Now I don't know what to do! Buy something less expensive and an extra forge slot and maybe a crew member, or the ion wolf? What would you guys do if you weren't going to spend $?
Keep one loot crate planet open, and spam it when you can for free gold and antimatter. It has to be a loot crate planet you can die on.
Has anyone else noticed that as you level, from 5 to 6, the power curve gets drastically higher than 1-5? It's pretty obvious, but I never noticed this until now.
Wait until you get to the higher levels. A level 16 epic turret becomes almost redundant at level 19 because the power curve is so high and a common one will output more damage. So although it's nice to have a legendary item(s) equipped, don't be too sentimental with them. There's no point really in making so much fuss over crafting them as the material cost is so high and their worth only really extends for a handful of levels.
Well damn. That's handy as hell to know, ahaha. Oi. Still 22 hours to go, 327 antimatter to finish... To rush, or not to rush...
Was thinking about getting UBATUBA but now seeing a lot of talk about Ion Wolf I'm in doubt. What do you guys think? UBATUBA or ION WOLF? Main thing that's keeping me off Ion Wolf is that I have only one crew member at this point and only 2500 anti-matter. So if I jump on Ion Wolf I would need to play a lot and save for a long time again to buy myself a new crew member to get the full potential of Ion Wolf. Any thoughts about this? Also do golden ships come with some weapons, crew member, mods already installed when you buy them?
I agree that items become redundant very fast, even legendarily, it's a shame, but then again, I'm still using a lvl11 turret on my lvl19 Uba. But then again, it has 7 turret slots, so it's there just for the bonus stats.
Ya it kind of sucks that legendaries don't just stay legendary. At least it seems ships do. I've upgraded mine twice since it became legendary and is still at that level.
I am about to go through the first work hole, but i was wondering if its possible to go back and forth theough the wormhoke ib order to collect more gold? Fantastic game!
Thank u! Still on second ship, never upgraded it, just been saving all the purple stuff until i can have 2500 or the game becomes too difficult for my ship. So far smart forging and skill is doninating the challenges.
I decided I'd give a follow up now that I've been playing more. Upgrading my ship to level 10 is going to take 2d 5h. What gives? I know you want people to pay but that's far too long. Maybe it'll make more sense when multiplayer hits but who knows how long that will be. But more than money and waiting on ships to upgrade would you please optimize this game to use less of the battery life. I can't believe how much of a drain this game to be with just a few pick up and play sessions over a few hours.
The forging system is pretty awful in this game, especially when you consider how quickly equipment/ships become obsolete, each level having an entirely new power-level. My ship is taking 6 days to upgrade, and I've already gained several more levels during the wait. Even higher level weapons taking 12 hours or so kind of negates the point as often I've found something better or leveled up by the time they are done. Along with the zoom-in issue, the upgrade times are really killing what otherwise is a pretty great game.
Typical rpg routine, however in my opinion this game adds timers to mask the lack of content actually in the game. You have timers and what could be a week affair can turn into a couple of months.
