I have some Good news people, we have a release date 22nd of July. Further Away than we hoped but there is some good news attached Check out the full announcement HERE
Why did you have to select a release date? That seems ridiculous, as I see no advantages to it. Why wouldn't you just release it now?
Apples request, so we can get real support on launch which is great news Sorry for the wait, but at least now we know when!
Finally, a firm date !,, So, next Thursday, then ? Does it mean that it will be released Thursday at 11 pm (or so), or will it be released on the previous Wednesday evening ? It's great news that there is a firm release date. Tons of people are waiting for this with baited breath ! I for one will have my iTunes card at the ready.
Awesome, thanks for the support! Its the date we agreed and the game has been approved so I see no reason for it to change. As for time of release, I dont know how that works. This is our first real launch on iPhone. Ill post as soon as I know its in the App Store, maybe you will beat me to it At least now I can stop checking my iTunes every 5 mins to see if its been approved lol
This game looks awesome! Not to be a buzz kill but I am disappointed that there wont be an introductory sale. I will probably wait it out for a sale, I'm afraid that there will be a sale shortly after launch like how there was with puppet wars.
Yep, same here. Eager to play this game but it's almost guaranteed the price of the game will drop shortly after release :/
There is no planned price drop on the game, it is very well worth the money. We think its a great deal. Its hours of original fun and exciting gameplay that cant be found anywhere else, its for people looking for something engaging and fresh - it truely makes the iphone shine for gaming. All those who support us are greatly appreciated, there will be more content coming in the future also Not too long now! The 22nd is coming!
Can you elaborate... broadly at what future content is possible? Also I can't wait till this is released... well other than getting some funding together that is...
Yeah campaigns and also new gameplay ideas and types and one big ambitious one we need to do more testing before we can confirm. Basically theres so much we can do, we will respond to what people enjoy most too.
Are these new campaigns/new gameplay planned as free updates or in app purchases/paid dlc ? PS I think it would be cool if you guys did what Super Quick Hook did and had a very limited introductory/early adopter sale to help entice those on the edge (SQH was 1.99 for the weekend then went up to the regualr 2.99, just an idea)
Give it a break on the discount pitch people. At least wait till it's released to get some initial reactions to the title before haggling over a buck. If you're cost conscious, which I am as well - be patient until it's out in the wild and bugs, gameplay, ect. are determined. I'll still be buying this day one btw
I just think sometimes its nice to reward/entice early adopters. I think the game looks awesome and Ill most likely get it the day it comes out, I just hate being ripped off by having a price drop so shortly after release (a good example like I mentioned is puppet wars or even Jeopardy which was released by sony for 4.99 and the very next day went down to .99, not that I bought it just to help my point)
This isn't being ripped off it's just timing, being ripped off is if the game is littered with bugs and does not live up to your expectations. If you're worried about a dollar, be patient wait a month and see where it goes within that time frame. I did that with Tilt to Live, was never drawn to buy it at all - TA posted it was free for a weekend and I grabbed it. I've also paid 7.99 or whatever it was for Doom because . . . well it's Doom. If you want to talk about being ripped off, my expectations with God Finger are a perfect example. Yah I know it was free, but I still felt ripped off for the time I spent vs. the hype surrounding the app ie: developer videos, TA posts, ect. I really didn't enjoy it in the long run. I'd have to say my purchases for this year will be Plunderland, Puzzle Agent, Sword & Sworcery, and Do Don Pachi - sale or not.
I'm only worried about the price because I only have $1 in iTunes credit and not spending that money on a game unless urgent, and Plunderland falls under that urgent category and it's $2.99
