that! & how could some one have so many posts without reading? oh... one more hint... in most likely cases... your refund won't work if you state that it's a compatibility issue... pick accidental purchase
Thanks guys the launch has been going great As for the iPad problem, hopefully you can get a refund and wait for the iPad version to come out. Someone left a one star review because of the iPad thing, makes me sad Great to hear you are all enjoying the game so much. We will totally be doing an update to celebrate soon. Maybe post what areas of the game youd like to see expanded and we will take your views into consideration when deciding what to do next.
What are you waiting for? I mean this is the right time to strike, as the game is climbing the charts, update it, TAers are Big time suckers for active developers & am no exception! Whn are you announcing the winner for the contest btw?
http://appadvice.com/appnn/2010/07/review-plunderland-arrggh-treasure-giving-copy/ Really good review. I'm going to try the game for the first time Today and after reading that, I'm even more pumped for it.
We will announce the winner today We are already working on the first update to fix any issues anyones having and then we will do a content update. Dont worry we will be very active with updates
To Joshslade After putting your game to a lengthy test drive, 3 hours. I come away perplexed and somewhat angry. 1. The current pause/un-pause scheme simply has got to go. It literally took me over a minute to un-pause the game the very first time. 2. The game does not give you much instruction on how to play it other than the initial tilt and how to aim cannons. I'm stuck at the last level "not just hot air" and I can't figure out how to beat that flying machine those english men are in. Now it's just getting frustrating. 3. Could we possibly have a sensitivity meter for the aiming of the cannon in settings? Because sometimes I over aim and under aim due to how quick it moves. 4. As others have stated, not enough upgrades (even though I'm stuck) and I also feel not enough to do. Now on to the good stuff: I do appreciate the humor and the "interaction" of the englishmen and the pirates. Would be nice if more sound was added to them. I think the game is pretty good, but will be much better if you change the above blunders. THank you!
Just like most games, you should talk about boss battles with people to find out how to defeat them if youre stuck. Ill give you a tip, wait for their cannons to fire then ride directly under and it will drop a TNT barrel on you, you can then drag this with your finger and finish the job. Boom As for the other issues regarding controls and pausing system, these are issues we are aware people are having and are working on solutions to include in the update. We will be tweaking the upgrades pricing etc and more will come in updates Thanks for the feedback, Im glad you like the game
1) Right when you launch the game you see your ship with it's current upgrades and some of the characters playing around. Is there any way that this screen can be made into a sandbox mode where you can interact with your ship and characters, etc.? 2)A new pause system is really needed. A two finger swipe down to pause and a two finger swipe up to resume would be much more intuitive. Or even a 2 finger tap or a tap in the lower left corner. Please add these two features in the next update! **Also during multitasking when I relaunch the game, all I see is a black screen with background music. I'm running on an iPod touch 3G on iOS4.
Thanks for the feedback, ive compiled this into the list. Will let you know when we finish the first update
This is an absolutely fantastic game! I love the unique gameplay. It does become challenging rather quickly, but the game is incredibly entertaining that it is hard to put down. A few things to note, several of which were probably previously noted in this thread: 1. The Crow's Nest has no crow 2. The pause/unpause functionality causes the app to crash on my iTouch 3G iOS4 bringing back to my home page. As a result, when I finally, albeit rather arduously, am able to return to the game, the entire level restarts rather than start at the point I previously left off. 3. Also, I'm uncertain about the "word on the street", and please correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you'll be developing downloadable content that can be purchased? If that is true, I would ask you to reconsider and to instead, embed them in future upgrades. Or, if part of your business model is to include DLC, keep it at a low price point and don't overwhelm us with dozens of DLC to choose from. I don't know about the others, but, in most cases, I like it if I buy a game and don't have to worry about paying for additional content down the line in the future.
You do get that the "Crow's Nest" is a nautical term for the lookout point on a ship...right? I have to assume you're just being funny but who knows.
The crow's nest is present. But, the illustration when upgrading at the shipyard actually showed a crow atop the crows nest, if my memory serves me correctly. With all the quirky characters in this game such as the ever-present ghost, one never knows...
Presentation is awesome, the tilt controls work perfectly also. Only thing niggling me is the firing. But I'm sure that's because I've only spent 5 minutes with the game. It's dripping with charm instantly though.
Are you serious? your the one that didn't read the DESCRIPTION! it clearly states what devices it will run on, then you have the nerve to come here and moan because it doesn't work?!? wow.... People like you really annoy me
This game started off on a roll with a lot of great feedback, but I didn't buy it yet because I wasn't sure whether it was worth the $3. Now after more people have posted their thoughts, it seems that it's too short, it's repetitive, and the cannon was iffy. Now I'm really unsure whether the game is worth $3. Thoughts?
