Please help with math problem :(

    What in the worlds are you talking about
    first of all, x actually=x/3 (that's what the function says)
    And if there is no relationship between x and z, I don't see how the problem can be solved

    You're too kind :p

    Took 10 minutes (judging by the post time stamps) and a couple brain farts.

    I think that in this equation (x/3) is in for each x. So if it was F(x) then it would be 9(x^2)+3x+1

    So you would plug in 3z for every x and get 81z^2+9z+1 = 7

    Since I'm lazy I'll just graph it on my calculator and find the zeroes. So I get -1/3 and 2/9, -1/3 is an answer so I guess that's it.
