So yeah I can't figure this problem out, so i turned to ask the fellow TA members . Question: Jane never lies on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Bobby always tells the truth on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On the rest of the days, they may lie or tell the truth. Both say they lied yesturday. What day is today? If you can show how you got the answer that would be awesome, Thanks! ******new problems I need help with ******** 1. Let f be a function for which f(x/3)=x^2+x+1. find the sum of all values of z for which f(3z)=7. a) -1/3 b) -1/9 c) 0 D) 5/9 E) 5/3 Thanks .
friday? If it's friday and Jane says she lied yesterday, she is lying today so she didn't lie yesterday (which matches up with the days she tells the truth). If it's friday and Bobby says he lied yesterday, he is telling the truth because he did lie yesterday and is telling the truth today(because he tells the truth on fridays). And how is this math
Yeah, it's friday. She is saying she lied yesterday, which is a lie because she lies on friday. So that means she told the truth yesterday, which is thursday. And on thursday, she tells the truth.
Oh, so are you saying that when it said "both said they lied yesturday" that Jane lied about lieing yesturday? correct me if im wrong please .
Oh, I found out the answer to that one, it's d but thanks for the effort now it's down to the last one :/
