They have one, but it's not been released for iOS yet (Crystal Monsters), though it's probably just a matter of time until they port it.

As for the topic starter's issue, well, you get "duds" on every platform. At least on iOS you never really pay very much, so rather than spending two or months being frustrated and annoyed (and getting yourself banned from their forum), it may be best to cut your losses and move on.

Personally, I don't "expect" updates or content patches. I buy a game on an "as is" basis, and well, I look a little at reviews and forum posts before putting down the cash. Doesn't mean I don't appreciate updates and new content, but with some publishers you know that you really can't count on it. I haven't had issues with the Gameloft stuff I've bought -- not even Order and Chaos, but that's because for me it's just a nice "explore and kill stuff" game, I wasn't expecting something the WoW that I intend to play for years to come. (I spent six years of subs on WoW, I'm positively done with making such commitments. :))

Why are people being so hostile towards this guy?

I'm annoyed that Gangstar 2 doesn't work as well, and like the OP have every right to be. I bought the game with promises that it would be fixed in an update, and have found that my money has been wasted.

Although what he is trying to say is a bit...drastic (boycott them, lol), he has every right to be angry at Gameloft. By the way, the only time he ever mentions boycotting them is in the the title and a small part in the post, his actual first post says this:

All of those are legitimate concerns, and regardless of Gameloft's reputation it is unacceptable.

I guess the true reason was just edited into the forums topic line.

We truly have some detective mods here.

*Compiling information to form a analysis report*

    Working out:
Line 1: OP proposes boycott over delayed bug fixes
Line 2: People move offtrack and discuss Gameloft's reputation and game records
Line 3: Gameloft is a respectable developer with good reputation
Line 4: Their reputation record does not justify delayed bug fixes
Line 5: Big file sizes
Line 6: Clone developer award :confused:
Line 7: Request for Pokemon clone :confused::confused:
Line 8: In defense of OP
Solution: :confused::confused::confused: EPIC MIND RAP3. No one achieved anything :D:D:D:D:D:D

While arguing with mods is never the wisest thing to do I really think someone overstepped a boundary here. Ridiculing forum members by changing their post-titles is quite low.

If the mods have a problem they should either just participate in the discussion or close the thread down...

agreed completely uncalled for imo whilst asking people to boycott gameloft is bad its worst to go this far with the topic he has every reason to be annoyed with them its been about 2 months and a bug hasn't come and we don't even know when it will im annoyed and expect everyone else is who has the same problem it can't take this long to fix it if they were actually trying hard to

Why don't you just shoot them an e-mail with your problems and see what they can do for you? Usually a big company like Gameloft has a team of people that can help you.

They are doing you a favor. It is one of the worst games I have played on the device. I put in about 6 hours just to see if something good would appear and not even the helicopter made me think it was worth the space i took on my ipod.

I agree, some moderators here get too carried away.

That's your opinion, whilst many others think it's a great game. What the OP is trying to say is he should at least get the chance to play it and make his own judgement, although boycotting them is taking it slightly too far.

The helicopter bit is awesome though. :p

You sir haven't played alot of games on your device. There are literally Hundreds of Thousands of games worse than Gangstar 2.

If you don't like this type of game, why did you buy it in the first place?

Well I won it in a promocode contest so I didn't actually buy it. And despite your claim that I "do not like this type of game," I actually love GTA style open world games. I wouldn't have entered the contest if I didn't.

Now the reason I didn't like it was that the controls felt clunky(for me at least), the graphics are bad (the draw distance especially makes it worse for me), voice acting was bad(not too high on my list though, etc. Among other things I just felt that my disappointment far outweighed my enjoyment of the helicopter which only served as a neat gimmick for 30 minutes. I have played other games that are technically worse but if it wasn't for those few minutes with the helicopter I would have had no enjoyment in the game at all.

Also I'm sure that some could probably put up with it and have a good time with it but neither me nor my friends had fun with it in general.

Well that's just ridiculous. I can get over you loving Gameloft, but "no matter what"? What if they aided al-Qaeda in getting back on their feet in order to prepare for a new attack on the world's major cities? What if they released a third or even fourth Gangstar game? I don't think the world would recover.

    Uh huh.

I'll bet anyone $1 million that this is what happened:

    1. The OP violated one or more of the rules for posting in the Gameloft forums;

    2. Said rules were not only clearly posted at the site, but were part of the user agreement the OP checked off in order to use the site;

    3. He was therefore banned for at least one specific, definable reason.

    4. He runs somewhere else to bitch and moan.

Hell, the mods here are doing him a favor by changing the thread title. Maybe it will be enough to jolt this guy into getting over himself a little bit.

I'll tell you what I'd like to boycott: whiners. And the self-entitled. And self-entitled whiners.
