Yep, it's the one time I wished I had Motostorm Artic.

Only if you like first-party Nintendo games. I think Metroid, Zelda, all forms of Mario (Mario Land, Mario Party, Mario Tennis, Mario Kart, Mario Olympics, etc.), Star Fox, Super Smash Brothers are some of the worst games I have ever played. I have never met a first-party Nintendo game that has left a bad taste in my mouth. I cannot image any of these games appealling to actual adults. I realize that they do, but I cannot, for the life of me, understand how. Obviously, I'm never going to get it, so whatever. Just move on.

But Nintendo has never thrived on 3rd Party support either, so I tend to look elsewhere.

MotorStorm Artic just doesn't do it for me. There is nothing about that game that I find even remotely engaging. And I love racing games. Especially arcade racing. There is rarely an arcade racer on any platform that I do not find enjoyable. MotorStorm is one of them. There is some sort of a disconnect there, and I'm not sure why. Its just not compelling.

Based on what exactly? That's an opinion, not fact. You should look up the word fallacy- might be useful to you.

The 3DS honestly has less games I'm interested in than the Vita- the only game I'd consider better than most Vita games is Resident Evil: Revelations. I really want them to announce a new Zelda, Metroid, or Goldensun (the only good Nintendo franchises IMO). Really tempted to sell it, but really want the new Kingdom Hearts game.

Also, the 3DS scratches itself. WTF Nintendo... Still have to send mine in for repairs (almost said "send myself"- that'd be pretty weird XD).

Totally unrelated- I wish FF VII: Crisis Core and Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep were on PSN. They're two of the best PSP games. I'm hopeful that we'll see them someday, because FF Tactics: The War of Lions took a long time to release on PSN. It came out in 2007 but didn't get a PSN release until recently.

Yes, the nintendo 3DS is a way better sandwich press then the Vita. The Vita doesn't even have a clamshell design, it's totally useless for that function. I'm still considering picking up a Vita at the end of the year but as a gaming device and not a sandwich press. I think when you look at the two devices from a gaming standpoint rather then their ability to press delicious meats together between two slices of bread you'll be shocked at the difference.

I love my 3ds, its really hard to say which handheld is better, they have so much to offer and are so unique in their own right. I love gimmicks, and the and the 3ds wins there for me hands down, but as a platform for hardcore gamers, I think the vita is going to claim that crown without a doubt.

No interest in the 3DS myself but each to their own and I do have fond memorys of some Snes games, to me Nintendo has just went a bit to gimmick crazy I'm thinking the same of the Wi-U as well.

I'm finding it a little ironic I've been playing a PSP game for 2 days now on my new Vita I don't know if it's my imagination but the battery seems to go on forever playing the PSP games.

I had a really quick couple goes at hustle king and Motorostorm RC I'm actually prefering hustle kings at the minute but then I used to play pool a lot but then i took an arrow to the the knee (sorry couldn't help it). Motorstorm RC seems like it will be good fun when I get round to it, I picked up the Carnival and Pro AM expansions at the same time.

Really sucked into Disgaea 2 at the minute though my Vita games are being neglected.

I love the 3DS, and the Vita, but my Vita has been getting a bit more attention lately due to the lack of 1st party software for the 3DS. Already finished Super Mario 3D land, and Mario Kart was great, but the same formula as it's predecessors, with a few minor tweaks.

Been playing Rayman origins, and absolutely loving it! Referred a family member of mine to that game, and he's so in love with it, he can't believe I didn't show him earlier.

The Vita is a great piece of hardware, and if they continue supporting it with great software, I think it will be much more of a success than the PSP!

Paul Phoenix + Ken Masters team possible? If so, I'm sold.

As much as I hate cross-overs, this may be one I'd have fun with.

Pretty sure it's possible I think the way it works is there is a generic story for any two characters you choose but certain combinations like ryu + ken have their own.

MK for me was about 1 thing: doing fatalities on my friends. Since all my friends have kids and only game casually now, my MK days are pretty much over. I may pick it up though, those mini games look sweet.

Alright folks torn on what to get next to complement Hot Shots Golf. I cant decide if I should get Lumines and Mutant Blobs or just Uncharted Golden Abyss. All the games seem awesome but Lumines seems like a game that someone could come back to 6 months from now and still have an awesome time. On the other hand uncharted seems awesome from users and review scores (but once your done and platinum not much to come back to although that will take a while I know)

    What do you guys think?

@sirawesome: I had heard so many great things about lumines over the years, and finally got it for PS Vita. I'm sure if I spent the time trying to perfect my game, it'd probably be really fun, but I was just not interested. I love Tetris, but I couldn't find any reason to like Lumines. I traded it in.

I had a lot of fun with Uncharted: GA. I played straight through the whole game snapping screenshots. It was my first Uncharted game, and it made me get Uncharted Drakes Fortune and Among Theives for my PS3. There isn't much replay value unless your a trophy collector though.

I was nearly tempted to pick up mutant blobs myself I can't really comment on Lumines as I haven't played it, I'd think it's very tetris like though and I'm not sure it's worth it's current price. I would think if it's a game you liked you could probably keep going back to it like tetris and it does have a lot of fans.

I found Golden Abyss very impressive graphicly although I still haven't completed it as I've been rotating my games in shortish bursts. I do think uncharted is getting better as I get deeper into the game last time I played there were quite a few very good firefights and the game seems to contain a little of everything (puzzles, shooting, exploring, treasure hunting).

Really depends what type of game you prefer in my opinion.

  20. Vita dipped well below 10,000 in Japanese sales for the first time this week. I can't say it's unexpected given the lack of any new announcements in Japan or anywhere else, but hopefully sales stabilize soon. I hope Kaz Hirai knows what he's doing.
