Here's IGN's review for the XBL version. nothing should really be different, I'm pretty sure the vita version is the same http://xboxlive.ign.com/articles/122/1222407p1.html
Sooo close to getting a platnium on rayman. I was at it for about 2.5 hrs between yesterday and today and finally got all the time trails beat (Mecha No Mistake is something) and I got another skull tooth. I just need to finish the last few levels now. Its getting pretty hard now. And man is it me or those skull teeth really really hard to get on later levels? Edit: PS: I found it interesting that the last 4 or 5 thropies you unlock are worth about 40% of the game progress
First English review of Disgaea 3 for Vita that I've seen on the internet: http://www.justpushstart.com/2012/04/disgaea-3-absence-of-detention-review/
Not playing the other Disgaea games do you guys think I could just jump into the series from there? It looks to be a stratgey/roleplaying games similar to fire emblem which I used to love to watch my dad play. So do you guys think I should pick it up?
You should be fine, especially since the storylines aren't really connected. Disgaea is very complex for a turn-based strategy game though especially when compared to Nintendo's Fire Emblem series, so you need to be willing to invest a good amount of time to understand all of the mechanics. It's worth it IMO.
Not gonna happen. The only good Grid/tactics/turned-based strategy game is a dead one. In all my 20+ years of gaming, I have not come across a more insufferable video game genre. Actually, turn-based startegy and real-time stategy games are equally unbearable. To each their own, obviously, but I absolutely despise this type of game. I'll never understand the appeal here. No way. No how.
lol. Can't believe you don't enjoy Nectaris or even Warcraft. Such great games, and this coming from a person that hates games that make me think.
I think disgaea games are worth the time playing just to see the crazy plots their probably the only video games that ever made me laugh especially afternoon of darkness, in my opinion their way better than Final Fantasy tactics although maybe it's maybe worth looking up some of the cutscenes from the first two games up on youtube to see if you can stand the crazyness. Only thing I'm worried about is if I'll have time to play anything else when I get it, as you can pretty much grind on them forever if you choose to.
I'm thinking of picking up one of the disgaea games on the psn store. What one would you reccomend disgaea, disgaea infinite, or disgaea 2? Thanks in advance!
Saw this free to play game coming to the Vita on the 10th: http://us.playstation.com/psvita/games-and-media/psv-treasures-of-montezuma-blitz.html Looks like a decent bejeweled type game for free.
Related to this: are the Persona games any good? I know they get rave reviews, so with the sale I've been tempted to try them out, but the videos I've seen make them look turn-based, and my attitude in this regard is similar to Dumaz. If I take the plunge, will I be pleasantly surprised?
Disgaea 2 out of those 3. (Also note Disgaea Infinite is not a srpg, like the other two, that game is a graphical novel/choose your own adventure game).
