Have to admit I'm still using my 360 the only time I was ever tempted to buy a PS3 was when Gran turismo came out. I'll maybe reconsider once the remote play option is more useful but until then not really that interested. I don't think we could be all that far from a PS4 either maybe 2 years at most.
Thanks for the feedback TyGamr and LucianOrb. Theres a lot to consider now, especially the exclusives. It seems all everyone is possessed with on youtube is comparing the same games with each other and trying to discern which is better. What they don't consider is the games that will never make it to the other platform, and in that respect, there is no comparison. About the MGS HD revisions, aren't those coming to the Vita too? As for GTV... I just checked the car list and they've got not just the MINI Cooper, but the Countryman as well... I think I may have just been pushed over the edge into getting one now. Hmm... there has got to be a Vita GT in the works I'd hope.
Yikes just read Sony have removed the new firmware update because of a technical fault I've already updated so hopefully it's nothing to bad. I can't say I've noticed anything wrong either.
I haven't done the update yet, however it won't let me connect to PSN to update my Ridge Racer world stats without it. Kinda a catch 22 of sorts.
On GameFaq's, someone had reported the "fault" as something that caused issues with Ad-Hoc gameplay which is probably why you aren't noticing any issues at this point.
..... So out of the 3 games I got from Amazon yesterday I have played Dungeon Hunter the most then Rayman and then Wipeout. Wipeout is a little hard for me to take a liking so far, hurts my hands to I think LOL I work to much so when I say I played this or that the most take that with a grain of salt
Is Dungeon Hunter the same one for iOS? I never picked it up, but the thought of being able to play it with reasonable controls sounds intriguing.
You know I think alot of people think that but it's really not, I have noticed alot of skills/spells from the second IOS Dungeon Hunter already. Plus theres alot more to it like different loot and a few other different touches. I dont recognize anything from the first one either I believe the first one was like a map and you just clicked on where you wanted to go I believe. Also theres a thing called the pit where if you get high enough lv you can get red items to drop! Gold was the highest I seen in the IOS games. Oh also theres a dig mechanic for the fairies where they can dig up gems and you can buy special gear using the gems instead of gold. It's pretty awesome so far!
I couldn't really get into wipeout until I figured out there was an airbrake. Now it's just remembering the levels.
It is the first game enhanced. Same plot, same characters and classes, same cutscenes. But the graphics are much better, many new skills, interface revamped, some additions such as the fairy digging and the Pit of Trials mentioned.
Yep, doesn't include Peace Walker though, just 2 and 3. Didn't realize two games were considered a "collection" now. http://www.amazon.com/Metal-Gear-Solid-Collection-playstation-vita/dp/B007FQUEZ8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1333508766&sr=8-2
The Japanese HD Collection for home consoles didn't have Peace Walker either (though it did come with MGS 1). Probably just quicker to use essentially the same game for multiple territories, rather than multiple versions. They could change it though, it's not supposed to release for several months.
Yeah. I'm just about as pissed as you when it comes to them excluding Peace Walker. The damn game is my all time favorite MGS when it comes to gameplay. (MGS 3 for story) I've been playing Peace Walker on my Vita lately and it's great with the 2nd stick option, but the graphics could definitely use some polish, same goes with the cutscenes. They're just flat out blurry with or without Bilinear filtering. I just don't understand why Kojima decided to skip buffing up Peace Walker for the Vita...
My guess is they want to sell peace walker as a separate stand alone or possibly DLC I was quite looking forward to metal gear HD myself until I read it was just 2 and 3. I'd have been happy if the threw the first in but 2 and 3 together just doesn't seem like a collection to me. edit : If anyone is interested there is a new System update now 1.66 annoyingly it's making me do the update before I can play wipeout.
I was about to buy it and noticed there was a demo available, so I went with that instead. My impressions are a little mixed, especially with the fairy control scheme, its almost like "why?" I'm not sure which Dungeon Hunter I played on iOS, but I distinctly remember leveling up and learning the ability for my rogue to stealth for a short period of time. In this game, it was just hack and slash and an overly dependent need for potions on the one boss fight I did. Am I confusing DH2 with DH1? I quite liked what I remembered in what I *think* was DH2. I mean if I can eventually learn stealth and play my rogue properly with precision 1 on 1s I think I'll lean towards picking this up.
