Made my first PSN store error today... I bought PSPs Streetfighter Alpha 3 Max for £7.99. The Alpha games are my favourite in the SF series... I knew what I was getting but wasn't expecting the controls to really suffer. I can't dragon punch at all with the analogue, and probably only succeed 1 out of 5 times with the d-pad Only played a few matches but I've been dragon punching for over 20 years, and I don't see it working with the Vita :/
Funny I have that game on the PSP and really loved it, One thing that might be the cause is the timing has changed a bit in the newer games maybe it's just that throwing you off as I imagine the vitas controls should be slightly better. Then again maybe it's something in the Emulation that's off, I can vouch for the moves on PSP though.
Is it possible to play vs PSN friends? I'll definitely pick it up to play with ya. I'm also a veteran SF player and will probably be horrible on this bity vita dpad as well - so we'll be on a level playing field.
Yeah i had it on psp and i think it was nintendo SP... Both those systems have worse d-pads than the Vita imo but i remember being able to pull moves off ok. After 10mins in training mode i'm perhaps slightly better... In button config i've set 'command = long' and 'type = easy' (whatever that means lol)... I'll keep trying anyway Unfortunately not, just local vs
@breakbeat: Try putting it on 2x speed if your doing your button combos too quick. I move my fingers a little too fast for normal speed.
I cant say enough good things about UC: GA, I am having a blast playing it, you get your combat fix, your swinging on stuff about to die fix, and your treasure finding fix all in one game lol What a entertaining game I mean anyone who hasnt played it I highly recommend it.
Does anyone know when the update is coming so we can play PS1 games, and other games that are currently incompatible?
It looks like an update is coming April, that will add compatibility to some PSP games that previously were not compatible. So far all we have to go on is Dylan Cuthbert, founder of Q-Games, saying an update is coming in April. No word on exactly when, or if it will include other things, like PS1 compatibility, Youtube, etc.
That's an interesting idea I bet someone will make a very basic app does the same thing, it's a shame most of the games require a few of the cards to be used at once though. Yeah it is very good although I still felt like I needed Unit 13 for the shooting aspect. Uncharted is a great try a bit of everything game I keep meaning to go back and finish it I think my trouble is I've actually bought a few to many games to play them all properly.
i play a lot of fighting games. On a nice stick and everything. But for some reason i find myself playing UMVC3 on vita a lot more lately. the convenience alone is awesome, and it helps i can pull off like 90% of my moves/tactics on the vita. the buttons are awesome. So glad this thread exists, havent been to TA forums in a while. There's a sale on Atlus games this week. Persona 3 is $20. Last week FF games were on sale too, I dont know if they still are. Picked up FFIV complete collection for $20, great game so far and P3P. FFT:war of the lions was $5!! Also enjoying other Vita games, Lumines, stardust delta as the ones that haven't been mentioned. And yes, after gaming on the Vita, going back to gaming on the iOS feels sooo odd...I recently got back into FFT on my iPhone, and the crisp graphics are very nice . But i cant help but keep hoping i would've waitted and gotten it for the Vita instead :\
... Wow I am loving some of the wallpapers I am finding for Vita, especially the ones that like say Vita games on one side and you put the bubbles of games on the other side!
Noticed something interesting there I was playing Unit 13 while I encoded a lot of videos for the Vita and started copying them over their all quite big files about a gb each so it took about 20 minutes or so. What interested me is I noticed the battery go up a bit while I was doing this, I just assumed it only charged when it was off and had the orange light but I guess it does charge a bit even when it's on.
So I just had a heart-attack... I had a crash last night after buying GoW, had to reboot and rebuild my database. Logged into RR and had a go while GoW was still downloading and all was good. Had a go this morning and thats when things got wonky. My Vita lost my save data for Ridge Racer, which if you haven't played it - is a grind fest if you even want to stand a chance against world race mode. 10 hours... lost... I don't know where the save data is, I tried to look on my backup memory card just to salvage anything, even a few hours... Nothing to be found. Oddly, upon putting in my newer memory card and firing up RR again to reluctantly start the grind from scratch, it fired up with my save data! I don't know what happened, or why it went missing in the first place, but I'm backing that bitch up right now.
why wouldn't it charge when it's on? Also, you can see if it's charging by looking at the battery on the right side of the status bar (if there's lightning there, it's chraging. If there isn't any lightning it's either full or not charging)
? Need some helps here guys, I have 3 physical copies of games and say I want to go all digital download pretty bad. Is there anyway to get those physical copies onto my Vita as digital downloads or am I screwed?
I don't think I get a lightning symbol usually my light just turns to orange while charging but possibly I'm mistaken as I don't usually pay much attention while I'm copying files and I have been turning it off before attempting charging. What threw me off is I have actually read somewhere it only charges when it's off that's why it surprised me to see it go up but I guess that information was wrong. Knowing Sony probably screwed I wish I could do the same with my PSP UMD games, I'll probably be digital only from now on as well as the main Game shops where I live just closed a few days ago.
I was wondering the same thing. I still have an unopened copy of Uncharted... After I realized you could buy full games on PSN I knew thats the way I wanted to go. Please help... wait, gonna try google.
